first time and most def the last… worst i’ve had in my life time curry was like clay dry rice chicken balls only thing that could be eaten

The salt & pepper king prawns were as always, delicious. I always order from here, you can order half portions of sweet & sour balls which is great if you like to have a few dishes to choose from. As always delicious food

Hi I ordered Chinese yesterday said it would be delivered between half 8 and 9 it didn’t arrive so I called the restaurant who said there was a problem with the driver it should of been delivered so they delivered it again and didn’t receive my order until 10:00 and had ordered it at 7:50 . By then didn’t feel like eating it anymore. Sent from my iPhone

The driver was rude and left my food on the doorstep in the rain

Used Golden Gate for years. It's good fresh food but on occasion we've ordered through the website and have had to call after an hour several times to find out where our food is!

The waiting time for it to be delivered was appalling. Waited over an hour was within the time frame but I’d expect it to arrive beforehand especially for 3 items. If you don’t have enough drivers than don’t do delivery.

Part of the order was wrong and the shop offered to deliver it however I said that we would order agin as the food was nice and to add it to the order one day next week. First time we ordered from here seems like a nice family friendly takeaway.

Worst egg fried rice I've ever tasted - very blend & the rice was over cooked. The Ribs were ok but not enough sauce & l've tasted better! All in all very disappointing.

Marked as 20 minutes collection, which went up to 50 as soon as paid. Big portions I can give you that... and nothing more! S&S chicken was reeking of vinegar yet too sweet. Beef, however, was bland in taste and chewy. This was the first time in my life I had to season my Chinese takeaway. I won't mention pancakes and fritters as those landed in the bin. Rice and prawn crackers were OK, I guess there is not much that can go wrong with those. Very disappointed. Won't take the risk of buying again.

Just when I thought I'd found a good Chinese, I was delivered the most horrific bbq spare ribs I have ever tried to chew. Literally a dog would have struggled!! There is no way they were cooked fresh or even the same day, and if they were, then that chef needs sacking because they felt at least 3 days old!! I'd like a refund for them, but no doubt no one would take responsibility or admit I was served either days old or seriously over cooked ribs! And the seaweed was gross too!! Shocking!! Not good when you're really hungry!!! Very very disappointed and will stick to the takeaways where I know what quality of food is going to turn up, from now on. Even if it's not great at least I know it's better than that !!

The Singapore fried rice was just bland. It was as if all the ingredients were just put in a pot and served. Never ordering from here again 🙄

Had a really excellent takeaway from here. Generous portions, good value for money, really tasty flavourful food. Vegetarian crispy spring rolls were lovely and I think home-made, and I had the best salt and pepper dish I’ve had in ages! Delicious!

Food was ok. Average Chinese meal. Service was shocking. Ordered online. Advised delivery 45 minutes, collect in 20 mins. Went to collect after 20 and sat in the hot sun with others also waiting for 45 minutes while delivery orders kept being sent off. Don't tell people timescales that can't be honoured. I would have left if I hadn't already paid.

Ordered at 19.25 by 20.50 still no delivery, rang to check to be told it is still being prepared in the kitchen with no eta given, very dissapointing as we love the food but 3 times we have had a delivery either forgotten about completely which we have had to chase or delivered very late. Will now be seeking an alternative Chinese not because the food isn't good but because of the service.

Meal wasn’t ready at requested collection time had to wait extra 15 minutes no reason or explanation from shop.

Food was good but disappointed with the late delivery. When ordering online stated delivery up to 35mins , but after receiving confirmation delivery time was updated to over an hour , it finally arrived after about an hour and a half. Would recommend the food but will definately choose the collection option next time.

All good food and fast delivery

Ordered at 19:20 and was delivered at 22:30. Just Eat estimated time was between 20:30 and 20:50. Called the restaurant at 21:00 and the food was only just being prepared. We waited another half an hour and called again and they said it was still being cooked. We asked for money off the bill but it wasn’t something they could do.

Food was excellent with everything really fresh and tasty. The dishes were cooked really well and delicious. The set menu choice with duck is exceptional value and definitely recommended.

Order arrived on time and the food was really tasty. The portion size was great fully loaded containers we loved the sweet and sour Hong Kong chicken very fresh full of flavour. Will definitely be ordering again.

Don’t order via Deliveroo it will take two hours to be delivered and the customer service team won’t care and will pretend it’s not their problem. Deliveroo don’t care about the service as they’ve already taken your money so they won’t bother managing their restaurants or service. As a side note deliveroo- rudest and most useless customer service team I have ever dealt with You can call and order direct delivery and they will likely prioritise you.

App said food was on its way, 45 minutes later still not arrived even though the app said it had. Rang the restaurant, he said he'd find out where the order was, left me waiting on the phone for almost 10 minutes before I hung up. Tried to call back several times over the next 10-15 minutes but clearly phone was still on the side so it was just a busy dial tone constantly. Food finally arrived over an hour late. Would not recommend

Wrong order arrived. When I called for it to be replaced they said they were now "full". But I could get "a free order of vegan spring rolls with my next order". Won't use them again.

Delivery time was extended and still arrived late! Food quality poor. The fried rice was stuck together and more like rice pudding! The curry sauce was just a lump in a polystyrene cup and poured out whole! Do not recommend will not order from here again
