Best takeaway in Bristol i totally enjoy everything they prepare

I have been coming here for over 25 years the predecessor was mr pang who made my beef chow mein to perfection and also taught the next owner how to make it 😋 absolutely lush 😊

Love the chips. Also love there mushroom curry Would recommend giving the food a try . Staff are friendly and helpful

Friendly, large menu gives you everything, including fish and chips. Just what you'd expect from a Chinese, currently its cash only, there is a cash point near by Dietary requirements accepted. On street parking. Cheers

Dispite the covid-19 regulations thay managed a good service and enjoyable food.

Mediocre food. Small portions. Not good value for money.

The pork balls batter was dry, probably over cooked or reheated.... Would've given 1 star but the staff were polite and friendly, which was nice, just a shame about the food!

A year ago i gave this 4 stars. They still serve very good chips and customer service is excellent. unfortunately the increase in prices has somehow managed to lower quality and quantity of Chinese dishes. so I now walk an extra mile to Hing Kee, on Lodge Causeway. They also no longer take phone orders, and shut extremely early (10pm) considering they're on a main road. So have to lower my rating accordingly

Gave incorrect change, gave them £40 for a £25 order and would not resolve the issue

Great food but sadly they hardly ever seem to be open.

Looking at the other reviews, it seems to be a bit of roulette when ordering from here. I've got to be fair and honest in saying that we use this place about 6-10 times a year and have always been happy with the quality of food and costs. At the end of the day it's a takeaway in Fishponds, so don't expect Michelin stars or Stellar customer service.

Worst Chinese food we've had in a long time. Curry was very watery and tasteless, pancake roll was disgusting, chicken and Black Bean sauce was vile according to my partner. Rude staff to add to the over priced meal we chucked in the bin. Our usual Chinese was closed. Lesson learned wait till the next day for our usual Chinese to be open. Avoid this dump!!!!!!!!!! You've been warned

Great range of reasonably priced Chinese food cooked on premise.

Went to Chims as its my local chippy. I've been a customer on and off for the last 20 years. I Asked for king prawn chow mien and I sweet and sour prawn balls. Standard stuff really. Got home to bite into pork balls. Very disappointed to say the least. I immediately went back to the shop only to be abused be the placidly looking staff. No frigin apology for getting the order wrong but a analysis of the refund as I had forgot to bring the chips back. Absolutely disgusted!!!! I would seriously recommend passing the establishment and going to one of the many other Chinese food joints in the area. Sorry Chims this is not the first time hence this review. Good luck sorting your staff issues out. I recommend replacing everyone. Keep the cute kid that's in the back......at least she smiles.

Ordered food, collected and when I got home realised the order was incorrect. Rang them to explain this. Thought they would just correct it as any other establishment would. However the young girl was very abusive. I was so shocked. She told me never to come back!! Next thing she put her dad?! (Chef) on the phone. He was even worse. He just started shouting and being extremely rude and abusive. We had been customers of theres for 10 years! He accused me of ordering before and not collecting my order! Never in my life have I done this. Wonder if they mistook me for someone else? I just really can't understand why I was abused in this way. Never heard the like of it in my life and all because I asked if the would correct their mistake. I will add that I was polite throughout as I'm not the sort of person to tackle confrontation. Food has been going downhill for a few years now. Shame as it used to be good. There are plenty of other Chinese takeaways out there. I would avoid this one at all costs!!!

Tasteless, inemic food and pricy at that.

My local Chinese and I'm a regular customer. The menu has a good selection and is a reasonable price, as most meals include chips or plain rice. They do pretty good fish and chips and pea fritters too. Friendly staff and quick service.

I was out shopping on Saturday and wanted Fish and Chips, this one has good parking ourside and is on the main road, it looks like a bog standard chinese, not overly appealing to the eye, but looks really are deceiving... The price is average for the area and I ordered Cod and Chips. The fish batter was absolutely stunning, I haven't had as good in quite some time. The chips were very tasty, not too greasy and I quite honestly cannot say anything bad about my visit. It was all cooked fresh and the lady behind the counter was friendly and polite, this really is a top class chip shop, I look forward to trying from the chinese menu the next time I'm nearby.

Great little place this, food always good, pleasant staff and good value for money. The curry sauce, in particular, is yummy. Well worth a try!

It's pretty average, but it opens late, it's clean, the staff are friendly, and the prices are fair. Parking is ok in the evening, but not good at peek times.
