Since when after spending £30 don’t you give complementary prawn crackers? I mean seriously? Come on every other Chinese restaurants give free crackers.

Waited 2hrs for food and when it came wasn't fit to feed the dog and order was totally wrong as per usual best to use east one

Been a regular here for over 8 years. Never really had a problem. However, the past few times we've ordered, food has been greasy, overcooked, or items missing. Tonight we placed an order at 18:34pm, it eventually turned up at 20:45pm. Over 2 hours wait. They did offer a free bottle of coke, but we get a free bottle of coke anyway, as we ordered over a certain amount. Some sauces where missing and portion size of my normal lemon chicken, was a lot smaller than usual. Will be using East one or Happy Dragon from now on.

Ordered for a 17:30 delivery. Called at 18:15?to be told “too busy with phone orders to start online orders”. Told would start food and we agreed to collect. Arrived at take away at 18:30, food arrived 19:15, nearly two hours late. Terrible service.

Ordered online at 17:10 for a 17:30 delivery. Order confirmed. At 18:15, after numerous attempts, got through on the phone was told that they were so busy with “phone” orders they hadn’t started on-line orders. I advised that we would collect. 19:00. Husband been waiting in takeaway for forty five minutes. Still no sign of food. Christmas Eve, is a poor excuse for being over an hour and a half late in producing food.

Been a regular customer for years. Staff are always helpful But the food has gone downhill a bit this year. I'm not a fan of them putting tinned carrot in alot of there dishes now.

Wow fantastic thank you guys even called to ask if they could come earlier than time I'd put. Food 100% Customer service 110%...had small problem ordering online with my postcode but sorted it. Next family chinese will call you thank you guys

One of the better places in peterborough. Hot tender food, friendly service with fast delivery. It’s nothing to write home about, but you won’t regret it (which many others restaurants you will)

I have been using this Chinese takeaway for many years without any issues. The friendly staff are always willing to help. There is plenty of off street parking at the rear of the takeaway. The takeaway is not open on Mondays and Tuesday, but their sister takeaway Star Wok in Hampton is. You can only use a card on transactions greater than £15 (There is a cash machine close by) I can recommend the Beef in Garlic and Chilli sauce or the Young Chow Special Fried Rice.

Worst experience ever. An hour and a half waiting for food. Just kept lying when we called. Will not be going back here.

Spent £40 on food and none of it was edible. Threw it all away. Absolutely Discusting.

Normally fantastic food but yesterday. Pancake rolls were different batter thicker and not as full as usual and the chow mein was extremely salty. Will be looking for somewhere different.

Lovely food always spot on …… but when I ordered on line New Year’s Eve I was given the choice of a delivery time which I wanted it at 1830 so was surprised when it arrived at 1720 ……. They were lucky we were in didn’t enjoy it as I wasn’t hungry so please check before delivery next time

Always deliver on time, never had an order wrong, food is always hot and fresh, the food is also very tasty and portion sizes are very good too. The drivers also very polite and friendly. Would recommend 10/10

Lovely food but not good at delivery timing. Need to improve that, otherwise a great takeaway. Also need to sort out the reviews on the website, two different pictures with the same name is not good - just rely on your food quality

We have had food from this restaurant a few times now and last night's wasn't great! .... the rice was stuck together in both the special and the egg fried rice and the prawn balls were over cooked the batter was hard and the prawns were chewy!! ... the chips were mostly ends too I don't know what happened but it's usually nice food so I'm very disappointed

Just ordered and devoured an absolutely divine meal from this place without doubt the best chinese we have both tasted ....and we are both 65!!King Po Chicken, Beef and Mushroom, Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls, Mini Spring Rolls, Egg Fried Rice and of course prawn crackers, first time we have used this place but definitely will not be the last delicious hit food delivered within 30 minutes

Absolutely top notch takeaway! Honestly one of the nicest, if not the nicest takeaway we've had. After a new Chinese takeaway due to open in our area taking way too long, we tried Golden Gate for the first time a few months back as it also delivers to us unlike many other places. We found this to be amazing and to be sure have had it again several times. After about 5 more times and each one being perfect I felt compelled to give a 5* review with no doubt. Absolutely Bob on. Keep up the great food and service. Thank you.

After a long day working in the area we were hungry, we found this small but brilliant Chinese takeaway, good food, reasonable prices, good service.

Switched to this Chinese takeaway after our regular started going downhill, the food is absolutely amazing, my only complaint would be that the chicken balls are not the best, but apart from that, everything else seems to be great.

Everything is significantly more greasy than it needs to be, but I have a bit of a weakness for their squid dishes.

Delivery shop is 10 minutes away but food took one hour and forty minutes. Food containers not closed properly so all food was mush

This takeaway Chinese has been in the village for over 35 years under several management teams and all have been brilliant! The selection is extensive and the dishes are all very tasty. I have eaten here many times over the years and have never been disappointed!

We have not been to Golden Gate for so long now but ladt night we had a take away from them and it was so tasty . We were told it would arrive within 45 mins to one hour but was in our house after about 20 mins. Great service.

Not our usual takeaway so used for the first time. Food was tasty, service was efficient and polite. They delivered to Stilton which was a bonus. The food was tasty and arrived within the hour. Would defo order again from there!

I can only speak as I find and having ordered online last night I am now asking myself 2 questions:1. Why have we never ordered from here before?2. When can I order again!!Easy web based ordering system which said a 70 min wait, however the doorbell went after just 40 mins- quick, and I must say very friendly delivery service!The food looked and smelled fantastic, however..... it tasted even better!! The freshest ingredients, well cooked & superbly presented, good portions and not swimming in grease. Everything had an individual taste, not like others where texture and taste all seem to blend, this is a cut above.If I have had a better Chinese takeaway than this, I simply cannot remember it! And the best thing, we have enough left for tonight as well.......

I've used Gotten Gate for several years now and despite living s couple of miles away and having 5 other Chinese takeaways within that distance I always choose to go back to them. Quick service and reasonably priced tasty food.

Cannot Get an Answer on Telephone used another takeaway

Always hot good food. Plenty of choice. Ring in order and it is always waiting for you on time. My son and his wife and myself eat from here regularly

21/09/2016 - tonight we brought our usual order. The food has left us feeling sick. The crackers were stale, the chips looked like they had been fried a few times, and the rest tasted fatty and reheated. The costumer services was impeccable. Don't know what is happening as it never use to be like this. We would have called to complain but we didn't want any replacement. :(

Pedimos para llevar. Pato asado con castañas de cajú era repugnante, grandes bultos de grasa con la piel de la piel o simplemente bits incomible viscoso! Izquierda con semillas de pimientos. No especias mezcladas, mi compañero, que ama la comida caliente, casi ahogo! Chow mein estaba recocido y sin sabor. Sin duda el peor insulto a la comida china que he probado nunca.

The "meal for one" is huge and we shared one between two of us. Great value for money. Tastes lovely but engenders the usual dehydration and msg headache of English Chinese.

All ways a great service and great food, never had a problem in nearly 20 years of using them.

We have used Golden gate now for a few years and never had a bad meal yet, good portions and always deliver on time. You can also pay by debit card over the phone which is very handy if you don't have the cash to hand.

It was ok food a couple of times but we did have to call and have a chow mein replaced as the noodles or the chicken were off and the smell of it was revolting really was not good. Also we ordered quite a few dishes and they forgot the sauce and burnt the chicken balls so called and asked to have it replaced the delivery guy turns up and asks for the chicken balls of which I gave the dog two so he called the manager who said well you have consumed some of them and was so rude but he never said he wanted all of them back so we told him to keep the new and old balls and the sauce which never arrived the first time and we've never eaten from there again but have tried the Beijing up Hampton and wow that's good Chinese and they deliver to Yaxley.

Used Golden Gate for the first time last night and the food was very good with generous portions, they also have a good hygiene rating so this will now be our go to Chinese takeaway.
