Appalling ignorance. Placed an order over the phone and was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. Turned up to collect 15 minutes later and was completely ignored. After waiting 10 minutes somebody asked me if I was in the queue and I told him no I had placed an order and was waiting for them to call it. At that point the person manning the counter seemed to realise that I was not just standing there for my own amusement and asked me what my order number was. He then pulled a bag out of a hot box and handed it to me. I gave him a piece of my mind asking why I had been ignored etc. Got home to find that we had been overcharged and sent the wrong food. And the food is rubbish. Avoid. Cash only scam

Best take away in town but no delivery. Worth collecting though. Food is always good quality

Working in the area , cold , damp day and me and my work mate thought a nice Chinese tea, went in ordered salt and chilli chicken wings, curry sauce and chips/rice , absolutely first class. It’s a ten from me👍👍

Best food in town. When busy, they don't really meet their guide times. Fortunately the food quality always outweighs this. I recommend the duck in ginger and spring onion, chow meins, special fried rice, crispy chilli beef and all their starters.

Ordered food from here using UberEats… absolutely revolting. The curry was basically gravy and the prawn toast was sesame seed covered mush. Inedible so I threw it in the bin.

One of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever used. The food is excellent, the people friendly and pricing is mid-range for the area. The 4 stars rather than 5 is due to it being cash and bank transfer only, not accepting cards.

Pretty decent Chinese food everything seems to be going 100mph in there but it's fascinating to watch, pretty small in there so overall pretty good only things that would say is they changed the chips and they haven't made them better also they said it would take a certain amount of time to get so we left it for a while before leaving to go pick it up and it still wasn't ready when they said.

Best chinese in the area, the food is great, price is great, they work so hard to get the food out quick but at top level, sign of a good place is when you see it busy, and it's always busy yet they still quick to serve.

Amazing food but the staff don't understand English very well. Also quite a cramped waiting area but it gets 5 stars just because of the food.

First and last time ordering - came from Huntingdon to get it - awful and greasy and the satay was like onion gravy no peanut sauce at all - very disappointing

We came into town for a few days and thought we’d try here after it has some good reviews. The chow mein we ordered we didn’t finish as it had a Smokey flavour to it, it really wasn’t nice. Rest of the meal was just average. Nothing really special from what we had.

First time going here and I was impressed, food was very nice, wasn't greasy like others and portions were really descent size will definitely be a regular now thanks

I recently purchases a 'Meal for One' Set Menu that was both wholesome as well as delicious with a good variety of items. Whilst I gave the Wok a poor review for its cold chips and attitude to my complaint 5 years ago, I have now deleted that review in the light of my new enjoyable experience - my first return in 5 years. I will be back for more. Highly Recommended.

Every-time I place an order I later get a message saying it’s cancelled and they wont be delivering. Sure I get a refund but it’s just a hassle that I go through placing an order waiting a little while and then nothing and I have to find somewhere else to eat. This has happened 3 times now? Don’t say you can deliver to my location if you can’t?

I have ordered from here for a long time and it’s been great and on the odd occasion when it’s not been the best, I have never complained. Tonight however the food was dreadful. So bad, I couldn’t eat it so took it back. The reaction I got from a lady there was upsetting to say the least. She shouted at me, the whole kitchen were shouting whilst I just stood there feeling upset at the reaction. I simply wanted something different (which I paid extra for) I will be taking this much further. I will never order again and two friends of mine in the area have just said they will never go there again either. I never get upset or rude but was treated with utter disgust

Satay sauce was the worst I’ve ever had, not even over exaggerating. Dunno what it was. The chow mein was burnt and had no flavour to it. The seaweed, peeking robs and chicken balls and rice were fine. But you really really need to sort that satay recipe out it’s shocking.. It was at peak hours and there were 6-7 people waiting outside ordering but still, it needs to be good, I won’t be returning for sure.

I have had a few meals from here recently ..huge portions , great value ,quick cheerful service Excellent Chicken Chow mein.

Great food as per usual, however I ordered 104 Spicy Special Fried Rice, and got home to find I'd been given 127c Mushroom Fried Rice. Forget the price difference, what if it was the other way around and I was a vegeterian?

Dropped in on my way home for a tasty Chinese takeaway, plenty of choice as usual and my order was all cooked in good time. Didn't have to wait long. It's cash only, but there's a cash point just round the corner near the Spar shop.

Never used it in a while so I ordered a chicken curry and rice got home served it up and starting eating to find a long black hair in my food 🤢won't be going back...

We had quite a simple take-away meal for two. Very fast service (there were several other customers, but it only took about 10 minutes). The staff are friendly. We order shrimp-fried rice, beef in black bean sauce and chicken with ginger. It was ample (and we have really good appetites) and very good value for about £15. The food was delicious and very well cooked - put it this way: If I was having a party, I would live to employ their chefs to impress my friends. It is really nice to experience a take-away restaurant that delivers what you are hoping for. Yum! Eager to try more of their menu items.

What has happened to my favourite Chinese takeaway? The food was super bland and flavourless. The quality was super low and not how I remember it. Back in the day I used to look forward to ordering my favourite dishes from here, but after todays performance I think I will have to look elsewhere.

Had a great meal every time, would definitely recommend this Chinese takeaway, given them a call and fresh food is always ready when you arrived! This year they seems like they will be open during Christmas Day. A good meal on the Christmas Holiday! Perfect!

Had the wok special curry and my wife had the chicken curry and my son had the chicken nugget meal. We also had a duck spring roll each which was also very good. Give us a free bag prawn crackers which where freshly made, definitely will be back again

Having used the flaming wok for many years and being our go to for a Chinese takeaway. We have noticed lately it's gone downhill to the point I'm not returning again and found elsewhere to go. The last three have not been to standard we have been used to. The last one being the chow mein b eing salty and burnt tasting. Not sure what's going on but it's a shame.

In all the years we have been coming here we have never had a bad meal. The food is always freshly cooked, tasty and quick. Only downside is that it can be very expensive.

I have been ordering a takeaway few times from here, today i got really disappointed. As usual i order a food, they said " food will be ready in 10 min" but i told them it will take 20 min for me to collect my order and went down for the collection within 20 min but the receptionist said, they are just cooking when i was there for the collection. I asked the reason why, as they told me it will be ready to collect in 10 min, She replied, we are getting few prank call so we thought it was too. Based on the previous prank call, they should not be generalized in same category for every customers. It was really disappointing waiting for the food outside the kitchen.

Awful so salty absolutely full of salt. 🤮 worst Chinese I’ve ever had cannot taste any flavour of food through the amount of salt in it feel robbed 🤬 why would you do this and ruin ppls food. Using salt to make the meat swell it’s gross

We have been using the Flaming Wok for years and never had a bad meal. Love the set where you're almost on top of the kitchen and can see the chef's cooking your food. A popular Chinese slightly out of town so more benefitial for the residents rather than town centre. Definitely recommended.

I’m GF free and they perfectly understood what I wanted and advised against it or changed the menu to a similar item (in this case they changed the sauce). Brilliant service and tastes amazing too!

Good food. It is prepared very quickly, so have your car keys and wallet in your hand when you place your order over the phone, as you'll need to go collect ASAP!

We are very lucky in st ives to have some brilliant takeaways and this is one of the very best they are also very quick normally within 10 Mins of ordering and very tasty.

service is always fast usually before you get there if you order by phone. Always helpful. The food is good but not something to describe as excellent and its not the cheapest take away in town.

Ordered over phone from prices on their internet site, prices gone up when paid for takeaway. They said they had increased prices, but not on internet site. Cannot be right. Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten.

Tuve que tirar mis patatas fritas. Fueron frías, secas y cocidas y no al Woks normal excelente nivel. Que hubiera sido necesario puede perdonar que no me tenía que volver en la bolsa original (una ronda km) de haber tenido una copa de vino con el huevo frito y arroz salsas que había comprado con ellos para mi scampi. No beber y conducir para cualquiera y si me dicen que era viejo, frío, seco y preparado como cliente espero no ser agresivamente desafiaron si estoy diciendo la verdad o no. Naturalmente, me tomé fotos antes de alimentar a las aves, pero nadie pensó en preguntar por aquellos. No impresionado por el servicio de atención al cliente de esta noche. Lo que pasó con el cliente siempre tiene la razón.

Ha pedido del Wok en llamas durante años. El personal era servicial y la comida cocinada y preparada para recoger de manera oportuna. La calidad de la comida es sabrosa y buena. Una de las mejores tiendas de China en el que hemos estado.

Utilizamos el wok Flameantes regularmente y nunca he tenido ninguna queja. Que la comida es muy sabrosa, hizo a la orden recién y el servicio es rápido.
