What a lovely experience! I booked a table for 10 people on a Monday night for a family birthday celebration. We opted for the all you can eat menu in order to be able to try a few different dishes. The staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and efficient. The owner was very attentive, checking everything was ok and laughing and joking with us. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We didn't order more as we couldn't even manage the initial food served, for this we were offered boxes to be able to take what was left home, so I now have tonight's meal sorted.....the gift that keeps giving! I would highly recommend The Ruby restaurant and we will definitely be back soon :-)

Lovely food as always. Let down by the non interest in service. What spoilt it was the vacuum cleaner while we were eating. I mean wait til it’s empty! Just rude! The 15% service charge for the table of 4 was unexpected! Good food let down by poor service/care

We went specifically for the Big Bowl soups. They offer Ho-Fun (thick rice noodles) or thin noodles. Some had Won-Ton and some had the fish ball soup.. all were £11.50. Portions generous. The broth flavourful and not oily. We absolutely loved it and will make this place a regular stop It is cash only. Food is ordered at the counter and then brought to your table. You can help yourself to soy sauce and crispy chili oil Chinese Tea is £1.80 per head. The venue doesn't serve alcohol. So it's Chinese or green tea and soft drinks. The restaurant whilst basic, is clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. It was all good vibes Whilst eating my soup I was salivating at watching everyone else's orders come out the kitchen. Everything looked delicious Everything is China Town style and quality

Sadly very disappointed - went for my husbands birthday 🎂 Sunday at 1pm - Very poor selection of dishes (Desserts even worse) - only warm too - maybe let us sit down first before asking for drinks ☹️ NO way worth £13.90 each - definitely not return!!

Having read other reviews was expecting something a bit special, instead experienced a culinary disaster. Ordered the seaweed salad, crispy fried chicken and king prawns and then pork wonton in hot broth. The seaweed was close to inedible, slimy and covered in raw garlic. Only one taste and that was the garlic, we left it after a couple of bites, even the Chinese lady sitting next to us could only manage a mouthful. The fried food was poor, the batter dominated, and left the prawns dry. The wontons were passable but the broth had no flavour and seasoning, just an insipid liquid with chopped spring onions/chives. Best advice keep on walking, plenty of much better restaurants in Chinatown.

We went party of 5 for my daughter 12th,the food was dry, well over cooked and some stuff was just to spicey for children,I also have autistic child so she ended up hardly eating anything, the oldest female memeber of staff then proceed to shout saying the kids have wasted to much food even though the bill was about to be over £100 we explained why she shouted again for a fair few people to hear that we should pay more for the 2 plates that wernt touched due to taste and spice, she then shut up when we told her to go and give it to the homeless as the bill will be paid anyway doesn't matter if we wasted food we can't eat,I still paid for it all, again like I said it was my daughters 12th so she obviously ruined the atmosphere we left after that,it's disgusting place got worse over the years and that staff memeber should not be serving specially to children, nasty women.

Absolutely amazing buffet restaurant! Delicious food, vast selection and impeccable service. They use a different system where you sit at your table and tick items on a little piece of paper, and the waiters bring the food you have chosen to you! I find this much better than the traditional buffet set up of everyone getting up and wading through the crowds for food that's been sat there for who knows how long and been touched by who knows how many people 😊 it's not the cheapest of places, but it's not too expensive either, and it is absolutely worth it!

The waiting area was quite packed with people just sitting there on their phones, not sure whether they was waiting for a table or not but we went straight into the counter where we was assigned to our seats. The table we was located on was very awkward. There was no way of getting out when the other table surrounding were being used. As a result, we had to squeeze past the little gaps in the pillars. Once we went to get our drinks, we headed straight to the food and it was amazing!! All the food was very hot and freshly cooked. The restaurant itself was very clean and the counters where the food were was exceptionally clean, the only bit that wasn’t clean was the chocolate fountain. There was chocolate all over the counter. I do get that that must be quite hard to clean and not any point cleaning it every so often so that’s understandable. My only negative comment on this visit was at one point we had about eight plate stacked up on our end of the table, but the main thing is it was cleared at some point. I really appreciate all of your hard work the workers do. I know it’s not easy having to maintain all the food and also having to be going round checking to make sure all the food hasn’t run out, so thank you to all of the workers. 9/10

We'd eaten here on several occasions in the past when the restaurant was known by another name. Unfortunately, it's not as good as we found previously and there are plenty of other options to choose from. We found the food to be quite bland and under seasoned.

My husband and I dined here last week and we had a fabulous evening full of wonderful food. The staff were all very polite and were quick to seat us and take our orders. We both a few starters each, and asked for smaller portions, the yuk sung was amazing. Then we ordered a couple of mains each and sides. This is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been too and love that you can try lots of different dishes and it’s all cooked fresh!
