Lucky Panda in Tameside

First and last time. Awful !!! Noodles were so bland and slushy - salt and pepper chicken over cooked. Chips were awful. Ended up throwing away and ordering elsewhere

This is the second time we've used Lucky Panda. I have to say the second time (tonight) the food was even better. Hot, fresh, not greasy at all and delicious! Delivery was prompt and the guy pleasant. The hygeine rating of 4 is a huge plus too. Highly recommended.

Egg fried rice no egg, cold and dry. The food is never hot or fresh anymore it used to be a really nice Chinese but I think it’s awful now

Absolutely vile!! Usually you can smell the food before opening it this had no smell to it at all.. should of known it be rank when I was told half hour wait for delivery yet it turned up to my house 5 mins later no lie.. chips whiter then white, ordered a salt an pepper box got no peppers in it no onions just tasteless food . Never again gone well down hill .. disgusting what a waste of £15

Ordered a few bits for delivery, prawn and pork dumplings (almost turning), chicken balls (overcooked - not to say burnt), prawn and chicken on toast (average), chow main (excellent) and fried rice (dry). It seems like it’s hit and miss. The only highlights was the special chow mein. It was our first time, not sure I’d go back to be fair.

Ordered for the first time this evening and I won’t be ordering from here again. Order was wrong, staff were rude, food was chewy and stale (I’m guessing the night before). Was told there would be a replacement sent out for the item they got wrong but never showed. Disappointed after reading good reviews.

Mixed vegetable in Kung Po SYRUP! Wow – diabetics beware! I have to start by saying that I stopped going to the Lucky Panda, for the most part, because a once-brilliantly-cook salt ‘n’ pepper chip order became salt ‘n’ sugar chips seemingly overnight. Then, a short while later, a far better chippy, in my humble opinion, opened a lot closer to home and that virtually changed my chippy habits locally. Then, one day when my more-local chippy was closed and I really couldn’t be bothered cooking, I thought I’d try a mixed veg in Kung Po sauce dish from the Lucky Panda. The first thing to say is that, despite being very busy, the staff were very friendly, polite and as efficient as ever. Top marks. The veg spring rolls were excellent; the prawn crackers were fresh and plentiful, portion-wise, and the egg fried rice and soft noodles were okay. But MY WORD guys! Lay off with the sugar in the sauce…and stuff in general! Flippin’ ‘eck! I also considered sending out a search party to see if some of the vegetables had escaped without me knowing it on the way home because it was lacking substance to say the least. It’s not a bad chippy by any means and it’s clearly still as popular as I remember it but just either have a word with your cooks or check the ingredient with your suppliers because sweet doesn’t even come close to describing the overriding taste!

Great meal, portion sizes were huge, sweet and sour chicken was beautiful as was chicken in pekin sauce, mixed salt and pepper box was lovely and great for sharing

Tried this after seeing good reviews and I can confirm it's amazing food. Huge portion of nice chips! And the sweet and sour was nice and large portions. Tasty curry sauce and very good price.

Absolutely best Chinese restaurant by a mile

I called in for takeout at 9.15 on a Saturday night, there was no one else there and food was ready in about 10 minutes. The staff were really lovely and The prices are good. The food was nice , especially the chips and gravy (its nice to find a chinese without soggy chips!). Highly recommend, this will be my go too from now on. It is cash only and parking outside is limited but there are plenty of side streets to park

Really excellent food. The salt and pepper wings are excellent and the chicken in Szechuan sauce is one of the best I’ve ever had. The delivery man is also very nice. Thanks!

I order from these all the time, sometimes when I'm on my way home from work and they are lovely and friendly and I appreciate them accepting my order when it can be late sometimes. We order the panda box and it feeds all of us.

Has it been taken over? Used to be really nice, not ordered for a good while, and I'm sorry to say.. it was awful, tough prawn toast, beef cheap and chewy. Very disappointed

I think this is the best chinese takeaway in the east Manchester area. There's isnt any dish that i haven't enjoyed. Portions are very good. Special fried rice is to die for. Always very busy so must be doing something right ✅

I visited this chippy on a Friday night, even thou I’ve lived in this area for 20 years I’ve never actually visited this place.. Unfortunately I found this chippy completely unorganised, they seem to be focused so much on telephone/internet orders that when I ordered 1 chips, 1 gravy and 2 sausages that were plainly insight ready to be served I found myself sat waiting for nearly 20 minutes to be given them, I even asked if they’d forgotten about me which I got the reply “wait for chips!” .. there were plenty of chips there when I ordered! Good business sense would be to have a member of staff on the counter and during quiet periods works on the delivery’s… this is what similar Chinese chippys do in the area (Sue’ and Happy Star). A good note … the food was nice but I’ll not be coming back as I hate bad service.

Food was cold and not very tasty

Just had our first order from this Chinese and it wont be our last. The quality and portions were fantastic. Best Chinese food we have had in a long time.

I'm from outside the area and this was my first meal from here and I wasn't disappointed. Next time I'm in the area I'll be ordering again. Many Chinese take aways serve poor quality, greasy food and I'm pleased this definitely isn't one of them.

Do some good food boxes with a decent variety of items. I love their chicken pancakes personally and the portion sizes are always good. Have rarely had any issues here.

They sell the best salt and pepper chips not to spicy just a luvly taste

Waited over an hour in store after telling me it'd be done for the time I got there and wasn't that big of an order must of been frying the rice and chips one by one the time it took and then the food wasn't all that, will it be wasting my time money or my fuel going there again!

Best Chinese aroumd. Yummy enough said, try the duck curry or BBQ ribs heaven. Better try what you like ;)

The salt and pepper share boxes are to die for! you do get a bit to much chips but giving the size of the box you still get enough chicken and beer to go with it!

First time we tried lucky panda it's the best take away we've tried we got special fried rice and special chow mein lots of meats so fresh and great portion sizes would definitely recommend.

I have a food phobia and find it hard to find decent food anywhere. My daughter goes to the lucky panda and she says the food is extra tasty and she is really fussy. I ve tried the food from here and it's not just good it's excellent five star thank you.
