Donna meat was too chewy, wrong cans came with meal and the delivery driver just took the money and didn’t give no change Hit and miss id say with this one people haha

Ordered the mixed shashlik kebabs and chips. Food arrived on time, hot and was lovely. The lamb was a little chewy but overall the food was nice. Would order again!

Terrible Double Donner on pitta. Chips red hot, no complaints. Back to the donner. Lukewarm, very little meat. No salad as ordered. Pitiful. They closed after I left and I could tell I was a rush job. Lazy at best, daylight robbery at worst (and the FSA food hygiene rating of 5 is two years old). Spice of Life top Mossley is the place to go. Better service and portions. Avoid Balti Chef like the plague!!!!

Delivery was on time and driver was pleasant but that’s pretty much all that was good. Pizza arrived a little well done but stone cold. Naan and pita bread was hot but chicken and lamb inside were somehow cold? Mint sauce was luckily separate as it tasted sour and somehow fizzy?? Can of coke was nice an cold though…not all bad but still a place I will avoid in future

Wings were different to usual. In thick rock hard crumb coating and were over cooked and dry. Lamb tikka was also over cooked and dry. Dissapointing.

Best food I've tasted for a while. It could of been a bigger portion though and more sauce and salad could of been made or offered to increase amount of salad and sauce especially on the share orders. Will order again soon though.

Really disappointed with my order tonight. I love the food from here but it’s definitely put me off. The kebab I ordered was supposed to be chicken tikka, lamb tikka, donner, onion and mushrooms. Only had chicken and donner. I paid extra for a tub of sauce which I didn’t get and I ordered a curry sauce extra and that was just swimming in water. Paid extra to have on peshwari naan and it was plain and very hard and dry. Only good this was that it came way earlier than it should. Probably why it was so bad. So upset that I’ve lost my go to place 😲

Not great food, not much tikka on the mixed kabab. Pizza bases were awful, really hard.

The driver struggled to find our house (everyone always does!) otherwise the food would have been slightly early with less than a 45 minute wait. Food was delicious, very hot, clearly fresh and went down well with everyone. Only downside was an item was missing. Would definitely order again.

Toughest meat I’ve ever tasted. Curry sauce just about passable. ‘Keema’ naan unlike any keema I know: weird spongy rubber red stuff like donner meat (and I hate donner). Called to discuss (very politely) and was met with defensive argument along with some swearing. Avoid

Best takeaway! We always enjoy the food from here and this week after trying various places for different food, we’ve come back here and thoroughly enjoyed everything, great good quality food, tastes fresh and even our giddy 3 year old devoured hers too!

I ordered a curry and found a hard piece in side the tub of food which didn’t belong in the curry and has put me and my family off, we’ve binned the food which has disappointed us as we were hoping to have a nice meal.

The food was nice I couldnt fault the service, the only thing we was not happy with is we ordered a LARGE mixed ticka kebab and there is absolutely no way on this earth it was anything near a large, it was pathetically small

First time we tried here. We haven't had a curry in over 12 months, so gave here a try. It was really good & the mushroom pilar rice, is the nicest one i have had yet. Food came quickly & before time. Hot & really polite & friendly driver. I will use Balti again.

Not hot enough and cannot reheat without ruining it

First time we have tried Balti Chef. Really great service, delivery man friendly, food was lovely. Special rice was really good, as were the curries, poppadum’s and chutneys. Will definitely be ordering again!

Very nice new takeaway I have discovered. Love the mixed shashlick kebab, would just change the £2 delivery for very local customers as it is a bit excessive

Food was awful. Spent £30 to throw it in the bin. It looked and tasted vile I've always ordered from there but never again

Food was lovely, however they forgot our naan bread from the order.

Very poor. Kebab hardly had any lamb in it and what there was, was dry. It was also luke warm. SF chicken was covered in sludge.

Not up to scratch at all. Dry chicken tikka, watery curry sauce, all seemed too rushed.

I had the garlic balti with paneer tikka. It was gorgeous. Can't wait to have it again. The chips were also top quality. My husband was disappointed with his tarka Dall as he prefers the thicker consistency and he said there wasn't a lot of flavour to it.

Excellent service an Great food

Made the biggest mistake. The curry was full.of onions and had no taste. The rice was cold. The only thing nice was the papdom and the drinks in the can.

Our food was lovely very tasty and very generous portions. Delivery was really quick and the meals were delicious definitely be ordering again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ordered many different meals from this takeaway. And they have all been awesome.. First time ordered a pizza from here.. And wow.. The pizza was out of this world... if not better than a pizza company that strictly is just a pizza place... Far better quality and care taken.. I opened the box and it was like looking at a medallion... Fantastic, fresh and full of flavour...... 100 percent perfection...

The food quality was poor; the chicken tikka was flavourless and tough. The Tarka Dahl was really salty, watery and inedible. The chips were oily and stone cold and the masala sauce was watery and lacked flavour. We were really disappointed and ended up throwing the majority of the food away.

Nice food. Garlic bread needed another few mins in oven. But it was nice

Ordered for a specific time for when I would be home, it arrived at a completely different time to that estimated and it resulted in me having to pick it from the shop, no reimbursement for failure to deliver and I was greeted by shockingky rude staff and cold bang average quality food. Not worth the effort...

The food came earlier than expected, it was hot and fresh. The curry was tasty and the rice and chips well cooked. My husband had a kebab that he really enjoyed and great value for money. After trying a few different takeaways in the area we now have definitely found our go to place, always good from here!

We've always been happy with Balti Chef & have been a customer for many years. However, I am not pleased with the increase in price. The prices for each item have increased (which was to be expected, I suppose, over time and the fact that it was ordered through Just Eat.) However I was not happy about the other additions to the overall cost. For many years delivery was free when spending over £10 and usually arrived with 'a little extra', and we always gave the delivery driver a tip. However, yesterday I ordered a much larger order than usual (meals for 4 rather than the usual 2) and was very disappointed when the final increased bill included a £2 delivery charge AND a 50 p service charge. Despite the great service I have received in the past, I shall be looking and comparing costs with other takeaways in the area in future, Such a shame!
