Touch wood, not had a bad take away from this place and I've not been a big fan of Chinese in the past. Very reasonably priced

Took the Thai king prawn and beef takeaway with egg fried rice. Great flavour and good portion size. A bit too much of the lemon grass

If I could give zero I would. Absolutely shocking. Dry, tasteless food. Got our order wrong which we just ignored and hoped to just enjoy what we had been given but it was terrible. The rice taste as though it had been left out for days to shrivel up, so dry and chewy. Chicken chow Mein, the chicken was frozen pieces which seem to have been fried, burnt and dry/hard. Never again will we waste our money.

Since the Golden Horse shut we’ve been trying to embrace this restaurant as an alternative (although have used the restaurant in Cleeve with delivery service). We phoned and ordered a chow mein and omelette the latter stated in the menu “includes chips”. I realise an omelette isn’t everyone’s idea of a Chinese but apparently served with chips doesn’t mean served with chips we had to return and pay again for the chips!! The chips we finally got weren’t cooked - we finished cooking them at home! Also it’s hugely unfair to leave the young front of house staff to deal with these things. Will in future pay the delivery fee from a decent restaurant … so disappointed ☹️

My favourite Chinese kitchen, I love stove, food, everything, only...wishes biscuits ...some people don't knows where the paper, lol, my husband ate biscuits and after asked me, but he did ate it, it was inside, lol

Can’t give it 0, within 5 minutes of having 2 bites and it tasting foul, was vomiting straight away. Stay clear Update: when phoned we were told for a full refund for them to argue and say no only partial refund. Stay away unless you want to spend a date night with the toilet.

Great food, really delicious and hot. No grease in the pancake rolls, dry and crispy, not sloppy and wet. Normally chinese can be very salty but this wasn't salty at all. Very quick service. Haven't used The Great Wall in a long time but will certainly be using it again despite having to pick it up. Put the New Garden in the shade. Well done The Great Wall, keep it up

Golly! £30 and 4 dishes of poor quality. Duck and bean sprouts for example, wet tasteless meat with beansprouts . About £8. I was disappointed. I won't be ordering from here any time soon .

Walked in and ordered and left with food in about 5 minutes, very quick service. Food was hot and tasty and less expensive than I expected, will definitely be back again 😊

A decent Chinese takeaway for a decent price. There is a good range of food on the menu which also includes tofu-based dishes, unlike the menu of the Chinese restaurant located near to this one. Very quick service!

Asked for spicy crispy chicken, we received kung po chicken which is not crispy and not spicy lol... Salt & chilli chips were awful, just normal chips garnished with some chopped chillies, we make a much better version at home. Overall: overpriced and poor quality. Try to go elsewhere if you can, albeit not much in the general area so you might be stuck

Very disappointed with the food . Chow Mein tasted as though it was burnt. Thai chicken chilli turned out to be a king prawn . Few items of this dish was missing . Will not be using again.

Ordered roast beef curry which was very watery and hardly any beef in it. It was more like a Pho, lots of veg and hardly any meat and almost zero flavour. The bean curd sweet and sour was okay, nothing to write home about. Egg fried rice and plain chow mein were okay, not as slimy as other takeaways but little to no flavour. We definitely won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend.

Been going here for a long time. But tonight,,,, got shrimp chow mein ,not a lot of chow mein mostly beansprouts something I don't eat. And crispy shredded beef not a lot again never have it with carrot red green pepper. Not up much at all .fish and chips next time. Was a good place not now sorry..

This takeaway has gone downhill considerably recently. The food used to be very tasty and hot. The last 2 takeaways have been bland and lukewarm. A great shame that the Golden Horse is closed as they were always excellent although slightly more expensive.

Took a punt on the Takeaway as the 'Golden Horse' is closed at the moment. Ordered at 5pm for a 7pm collection we live 2 minutes away and everything was tepid, the order was wrong and the dishes were mainly onion and other cheap vegetable packing, very little meat expensive and small portions. The spring rolls and prawn balls were incredibly greasy and were obviously deep fried in old oil and over cooked. This used to be a decent takeaway but sadly has gone down hill very quickly.

From time to time when my sons are out, I get myself a takeaway from the Great Wall. Always the same food, always £8.50. The boys were out last night, time for a takeaway! I ordered my usual and was told it was £11.80. I understand prices go up, but that seemed to be a big jump! When I questioned the price, the woman said bluntly that rice isn't included any more (where's the sign? That's a big policy change). If they're going to make price changes as big as this, it would be respectful to stick a sign behind the counter warning that rice is no longer included and that prices have gone up as a result. I'll go somewhere else in future.

the food was horrible. chucked it all in the bin. poor quality. raw onions, ribs looked unappetising and tasted like nothing ive tasted before. seaweed hard and sharp bits stuck in my throat. prawn crackers tasted of nothing.

Update, thought I try this place again (being a Sunday it's the only place that's open for a Chinese and that caters for allergies) it would have improved. I had a special chew main nothing special about it was mostly packed with hugely sheets of bamboo shoots, noodles which they were stale one piece of meat each (pork beef chicken King prawns) it packed a punch with far to much ginger it went cold half way through disappointed again thats the last no more. I don't know if it's changed hands or what its not the same as it used to be.

I was staying in Hurstpierpoint and someone had recommended this restaurant. The sweet and sour pork was almost inedible, stuck together and the meat was tough and gristly. The spring rolls were awful, the worst i have had. Soggy and seemed full of soft mush. I don't like giving bad reviews and always praise where i can, but i am afraid i cannot say anything good, except the person serving was very nice and polite and the meal was ready on time. I wish them well but they need to up their cooking game if they are to succeed.

Been coming here for years love the food top notch. Ready very quick however you have to know what to get some of the dishes are a bit meh. Crispy shredded beef, duck in ginger sauce and chow mein come highly recommended

We were told over the phone we could have salt and pepper chicken or salt and pepper prawn but not both in one dish !! We performed the alchemy at home! Food was far to salty. Not enough pancakes for the duck had to use some prawn crackers and the stated 10 minute wait turned into 30. All you would expect from a second rate Take-Away. Disappointed

Now tried this place twice and the food i had last night all tasted burnt like they used a burnt pan to cook the food in, was very sick this morning.

We have had two meals from here now and both were really tasty. Full of flavour and hot. We drive from Long Ashton and it’s always piping hot when we come to tuck in. Highly recommend the chicken balls, house special chow main, crispy beef in peeking sauce and the prawn toast. Thankyou guys!

The food and service were excellent and all the food freshly prepared and cooked Will definitely be using again .

I asked for dry ribs but was in sweat and sour sauce.

We haven’t had a Chinese Take Out for six months. Decided to have one this evening. I had Beef Curry with Boiled Rice. Beef was like leather and not edible. This isn’t the first time this has happened. My husbands meal was good and so was my Sons.

Visited here couple months ago while visiting my friend. Food was amazing on food alone 5* but have to include total service which was a bit of a letdown. Phoned in with a phone order, went to collect as no delivery service, turned up gave my name nope no order, asked me to spell it G O O D I N G nope still no order, so had to re order the food. 100% right place as I called them while there and it was the same number. Just one of them things by human error. It will not stop me from visiting again that is 100% sure

Have no issues with you closing due to coronavirus but my partner just walked a mile as you said open online and you were closed. Online info needs to be kept up to date at all times. Not good enough

Absolutely appalling. Would put less than 1 star if I could. They done our order wrong, rang them up to say it was wrong and they just laughed at us down the phone. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Decided to try here as our usual Chinese was closed (golden horse- different league!) and we had friends over. Firstly they missed 2 dishes which we discovered when arrived home, despite them repeating the order back when placing the order so called to let them know and to say we would be coming to get them. They said sorry and they would cook them now, fine. Upon arriving back we were told we couldn’t pay for those 2 dishes by card because it was £10- under £15 usual allowance. This is despite the first order coming to £30 and had these not been forgotten these would have been included. So they made us go get cash out. This meant all our food was stone cold by the time we ate it even know it was their mistake, when I complained I was told “yeah sorry” and then hung up on. Food was horrid and service was just as bad. Avoid! Their are 2 other great Chinese in Nailsea and this is not one we will be goi to again, rather buy frozen from Iceland

Not great food service with no smile

Was always satisfied, then last night ordered same as always. New guy in the till just couldn't get my 'straight from menu' order right. I repeated myself 4 or 5 times. Got home rice is missing, spring roll looked and taste like it spent 3 weeks in the Sahara it was that dry. And the only thing I kept expressing to add onions to an omelette and then they were missing. Omelette was dry and tasteless. What's going in sort it out new guy and chef quality plummeted down hill will probably head back to cleeve for a bit until they sort themselves out. It ruined my family get together as the food was tasteless and order wrong.

Rated only 1 star - their customer service is excellent but when you order lemon sauce they never make sure the container is shut properly!! And now my poor mum had a bad burn on her leg due to there carelessness!! They need to sort this out! What happens if a young kid got burnt!!

Tough & chewy spare ribs that we had to leave My wife’s curry was appalling, the meat was like cheap processed chicken - she asked for only a few onions & was given extra - she left it all after one taste My meal tasted burnt & was in a disgusting sauce - I left it We will never go back & suggest others avoid

Friendly service which was also very quick as they were very busy with customers and phone orders. Nice clean establishment too.Food was just about ok. We opted for the Special Fried Rice & the House Fried Rice but both were a little on the dry side - could have done with a bit more barbecue sauce.Prices didn't seem too bad either.

Used to have 2 locations - Clevedon and Nailsea used to be the only Chinese takeaway in Clevedon I liked but now that they've sold their Clevedon branch it just isn't the same. Which now means if I want a decent takeaway I have to drive 20 mins to their Nailsea location, which I will definitely be doing as it's still the best around and worth the inconvenience. #firstworldproblems 😁

Ordered food for dinner but got wrong order then waited for 15 mins to re cook food. Just for them to do wrong order again. Don’t not recommend

We recently had a take away from The Great Wall and although we aren’t a regular for take away I would definitely order from here again. The food was delicious and tasted fresh - not greasy at all. For four of us it was the perfect amount for an excellent price. I would definitely recommend this Chinese takeaway.

Although a fairly average takeaway the prices are reasonable, staff friendly and helpful, good freshly prepared food. Can be a bit of a wait at busy times but they do offer a telephone ordering service. In my opinion, the best Chinese takeaway in town.

A solid local Chinese takeaway. We don't go anywhere else. The sweet and sour pork balls are the nuts. The missus likes the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style with egg fried rice. The prawn toast, beef and chicken chow mein are very good. Pretty sure you get a free bag of prawn crackers with orders over £20 The people are always friendly and happy to see you. When taking my son with me to pick up an order they always give him a free fortune cookie which is sweet. They will take orders over the phone for you to pick up and are open Sunday evenings when the local chippy is closed.

Ordered a selection of vegetarian and seafood appetizers and dishes. All well prepared and in leak-proof containers. Driver was friendly and courteous as was the lady who took my phone order. I will use this vendor when a Chinese delivery is desired.

For sometime we had given up on buying chinese takeaways in Nailsea and had relied on Indian takeaways when we were wishing to have a takeaway meal. We all [6] really enjoyed the range of dishes we had ordered. It was good value for money, tasty across our range of preferences and thoroughly enjoyed.We rarely have takeaways however will definitely be our chinese takeaway choice.

Todos sabían que la comida misma. Nos quedamos con ganas de una buena comida china y empujado el barco, pero la izquierda con un mal sabor de boca, no tanto por la comida, pero al intentar discernir lo que estábamos comiendo. Sosa y no tiene nada especial.

Used to prefer this Takeaway - but food, although service was quick was all very very bland and tasteless. Disappointed...... what a shame. Probably won't go there again.....

Este es un chino que tiene el típico menú favoritos. La calidad de la cocina es excelente y los precios son muy razonables. El servicio es relativamente rápido incluso si el pedido en la tienda, en lugar de en el teléfono. No me gusta, pero platos calientes la única decepción de uno de mis clientes cuando pedí un llevar fue que el pollo Szechuan no estaba lo suficientemente caliente. Hay 8 langostinos con mantequilla king en una bolsa y 10 - 12 pollo o pelotas de cerdo. Chow mein, carne de cerdo con jengibre y cebollinos, y dulce/amarga langostinos king son mis favoritos.

Nuestro restaurante chino local estaba cerrado y teníamos hambre, así que optamos por una comida para llevar. Mal error. Pedimos la comida para dos - recomiendo el pan de gambas, pero todo lo demás era grasienta, y no gloopy agradable. Que hubiera sido mejor comprar un diy para llevar en el supermercado.

Fairly standard Chinese takeaway fare, reasonably priced and friendly staff. Often ring to order takeaway before picking grandaughter up from youth club. Meal always ready at the time I request.

Stopped by for a takeaway meal, they offer a wide ranging menu including a few Thai dishes, the set meals are particularly good value. Lunchtime special menu is also good value. Friendly and efficient service.

Si te gusta la buena calidad de cocina china, entonces le gusta este restaurante para llevar. tienen un menú completo que satisface a todos los gustos, el personal es muy amable y la comida se pueden comprar a un precio muy razonable.

On the 2 or 3 occassions I have ordered from this take away I have recieved ok service and ok food (just ok). However on my last visit I approached the counter to order however the 2 staff members continued their conversation without even an acknowledgement that I was there. I walked out after a short while as there are plenty more take aways who may even appreciate their customers.

Picked up a large order at the weekend to cater for 4 adults and some kids. Total cost was under £50, very reasonable. We had a wide mixture of dishes, enjoyed by all and would heartily recommend the place.

The service and preparation are always prompt, the portion sizes are fab and the price is good! Would particularly recommend the chicken Hong Kong style and the chow mein. All the food we've ordered has been very tasty! Only downside is that at the minute they do not deliver.

This is a very high quality take away. The food is flavoursome and the staff friendly. Orders under £10 on a card get charged extra though.

My family are never disappointed with their take always from here.Whether ordering our 'usuals' or trying something different, we are always satisfied.I think it's good value food, the dishes are reasonably priced and big portion sizes.When ordering via phone, the food is normally ready within 10 minutes. So no waiting around, quick In and out and then home to tuck in!

I always use this takeaway when I want chinese. They are good at amending the options if you don't want something included such as beansprouts in chow mein. I have found the chow mein oily on occasion but always tasty. Would recommend chicken chow mein & chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce.
