The must honest review I can give for Lotus is, its nothing to write home about the food is just a bit bland and boring. House special fried rice isnt really special just rice with bits mixed in whereas it normally has meat slices, a bit of sauce etc..... they do a chicken curry which is good for a Chinese but the other 3 dishes I've tried I cant get excited about.

Ordered delivery, it arrived cold delivered by someone with a very untidy dirty looking appearance. Extremely salty and was not very palatable. The Chicken balls were very stodgy as was the Chicken in plum sauce. Not a very nice meal and disappointed in every way. Will not be returning here.

Nice take away. Very slow but they were very busy. Staff lovely and very apologetic. None of the chefs had hair nets on unfortunately which is a bit of a worry. But the food was lovely and their price is reasonable. I like that you can see the kitchen too when you go.

Rapid delivery great food. Kids ordered sweet and sour chicken balls each (huge portion) they were not prepared for the size of them. But enjoyed them. Great that the sauce was separate so they had the option to eat what they wanted. Pad Thai great however didn’t find the peanuts. Nice and spicy! My lips tingled for hours! Chicken noodles also great again a big portion!

I love this takeaway. Food is always spot on. Loads of choice and always fast, freshly cooked.

Honestly the worst pork ramen and chicken katsu I've had in my life.. the soup in the ramen just tasted like they mixed soy sauce and hot water,the pork wasn't marinated, the cheap flavourless noodles were soggy despite being packaged separately from the bland yet pungent soup.. the katsu chicken batter was incrediblely soggy , the sauce too thick and flavourless. Hugely disappointing considering the price. I wouldn't feed this to my cat...

I have been going here for years, had take away last week. Rice and mains needed rehating up as it wasn't kept warm, and it was out on counter when I arrived. The sweet sour chicken over cooked and burnt in places, lamb curry very little meat, really didn't enjoy, and you need to spend more than 30 to get free parwn crackers. Oh, and hygene rating 1... not good at all...

The website is terrible. Can't order on website as saying don't deliver to my address,but have done for last 2years regularly. Then saying shop is shut . Wife tryed on her app . And guess what the app is frozen . Oh well time to order from different place . They must be losing so much custom . Fix the bloody website

Stunning food every time we order the food is really good. Everything cooked to perfection and enjoyable 😉 We had thai chicken sweet and sour Chicken balls in batter Chicken curry. Spot on service and very hot x

Just had delivered sweet and sour chicken, tastes like someone's grabbed some ribeana, thickened it, warmed it and poured it on over cooked cremated chicken.

Food is good as always. But the bloody website. Its really clunky and annoying. Doesn't always give the discount either. Really annoying. Also would it hurt to reward loyal customers sometimes??? A bag of prawn crackers every now and then chucked in wouldn't hurt. Jeez

ordered via just eat. I've tried a couple of the chinese takeaways in and around Worle and this is my favourite so far. the quality of the food, the flavours, the delivery were all excellent. as usual I ended up ordering too much, so there was leftovers for the next day, which will still excellent!

The “brisket” was just boiled beef fat and one piece was just skin and fat, the “ramen soup” was noodles with a separate broth that stank of broccoli- not miso and tasted of nothing but broccoli! The chicken Gyoza was hard and didn’t taste of chicken. The advertised pickles was just raw carrot and cabbage. Everything Tasted either flavourless or disgusting! For anyone that thinks this is Japanese food, IT IS NOT! Shame on you lotus, £30 I would have rather burnt that ingest the swill I’ve just had from you! Inedible, repulsive and nauseating!

The food is very good but service delivery is horrendous, on several occasions in the last couple of months I have placed an order for delivery and been told around an hour's wait for it to eventually arrive 2 hrs plus later, I wont bother again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. This is 100% a scam. Loads of customers have ordered food, not received the food, and not gotten a refund. We used just eat. The same happened to us. month later and still no refund. We are now at the stage where the bank is disputing the payment which will take up to 13 weeks! how someone can get away with this in 2020 is beyond me.

Horrendous. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! We ordered a Chinese, we waited hours, we chased it up, they said it was delivered to a lady, we confirmed it hasn’t been delivered, we waited a few more hours. Then they said they will make another order, so we said no thanks we will have our money back and get dinner elsewhere as it had taken so long and we needed to eat. Well it’s a month later and we have not been refunded and now have to wait for our bank to dispute the transaction which will take 13 weeks. This place is a disgrace and should be shut down. I’ve noticed from the other reviews that I am in good company with other customers who never got a refund. How can people get away with this in 2020??

Always tasty & hot food from here ! Tonight when we visited I had pork balls with sauce and chicken fried rice. Very satisfied and pleasant chat with the lady who served us :-)

Had crispy beef and chicken fried rice, all bland and hardly any flavour, the crusty beef was overcooked and burnt, the oil must have been old too... never again

Soggy vegetable spring rolls, tough pork and hard vegetables in the sweet n sour, egg fried rice was tasteless. The chow mein was the only nice part. Also, took ages to arrive.

We weren't that impressed by our meals. The "crispy fried" noodles were burnt. The teriyaki duck noodles were bland, the tofu over cooked. The sezchuan beef tasted fine with a good chilli heat, just let down by the burnt noodles. There's better to be had in Weston.....

I ordered beef ramen soup salt and pepper prawns and suck spring rolls, the beef was so fatty and poor quality it tasted and looked like pedigree chum out of a tin 5)3 salt and pepper prawns were just deep fat fried prawns was really disappointed especioalt for the price I paid

Ordered our food online through their own website , placed the order at 17.47 the website stated a delivery time of 1 hour and 15 mins .... At 19.30 I called to ask if our order was on it's way i was asked which website I ordered from "is it just eat " no I ordered from your own website "oh okay I will check for you now " 5 mins of being on hold i was told our order had been missed and would be cooked straight away and delivered to us as soon as possible , I can accept that mistakes happen and was happy with the explanation, 20.15 and our food still hadn't arrived so I called the restaurant again to be told the food was on it's way and that the driver had left 10-15 mins ago so should be with us very soon , 20.30 called again and was told the driver should be with us shortly I wasn't very amused ... was also concerned that by the time the driver would arrive our food would be cold ! The woman on the end of the phone said she couldn't get hold of the driver but if she gave me his number could I call him ! Mmm NO ... I was offered £10 off of my next order which to be honest I wasn't bothered about I just wanted my food as we were all extremely hungry at this point , 20.45 nearly 3 hours after ordering our food was still not with us so I called again, this time the woman on the phone was rude and very aggressive shouting at me the driver was on his way ! I asked for the order to be cancelled and that I wanted a refund to which she point blank refused .. she then hung up ! Fab customer service. And as if by magic 3 hours and 15 mins after ordering our food it arrived stone cold so threw it in the bin and I'm still waiting for my refund but won't be holding my breath Do not order anything from this takeaway you will be lied to and your food will be cold, I would not recommend to anyone I wish I had ordered through Just Eat as that way I would have been able to cancel my order and receive a full refund

This is the worst takeaway in Weston. 45 min extra waiting. Food cold and different what we order. After arrived my wife ask driver why he is so late he don't say anything. He was rude and call her cow. So I will visit you and expect my money back!!!!

Waste of time and money. Shambolic customer service and delivery. The driver coming after 2.5 hours of ordering and 45 min late said he didn't know he was late. Called me 'rude cow' for asking him to say sorry for being late. The food tasteless and cold so everything is going back tomorrow. I have had enough of horrible food and service and will be returning all that rubbish in person to so called 'restaurant'. Can't wait to speak in person to whoever is responsible for this bad joke.

Placed my order at 7.15. Was still not here at 8.40 so called to ask how long would be. They said was with a driver! Still not here at 9.45 so called again. And they said it still wasn't ready... Disappointing with the service as this has happened on 2 occasions.. So a 3 hour wait and still had no food!!!! Will not be using these again!!

Under new management do not eat here! Management absolutely disgusting hung up the phone on me and refusing all my calls after abusive phone conversation, ordered our food was told an out wait... 2 hours later and 2 children fast asleep starving the food turns up, freezing cold dry duck processed chicken and the sauce that came with the duck looked like kfc gravy couldn’t even bring myself to taste it... we rang complained asked for a refund for our £52 Chinese was told we was only aloud £35 back I admit we ate the satay sticks as they was okay ish... and clearly we was hungry! So £17 for what an evening ruined and upset children, well I didn’t even get the £35 back as they hung up the phone and will not answer my calls, I will be taking this further and trying to get our money back

Ordered here through a delivery service, pre-ordered before the place was open looking forward to getting our food which was due at 6pm. At 5.20 we got word that our prder had been declined. Whe I called them to ask why they said they had so many orders that they had shut their service with the delivery service so I asked if I should order again andf they said they were shutting the service again as they were busy. Given that we pre-ordered they evidently lied to us and the girl on the phone was rude and dismissive. Ruined our night. I wouldn't give these people my last penny if I were starving!

The food is always excellent and the portion sizes are decent.

Wouldn't go anywhere else! Food is lovely (especially the crispy chilli beef). I've ordered food during the week and it's come within 20 mins to half an hour. Little longer on weekends due to it being busier. But if there is a long wait then I'm happy to go and collect. Staff are lovely, my fave Chinese.

States like mings takeaway, doesn't even come close.Spent good money to throw away. Disgusting, never experienced food so bad. Its like no effort put in, rice dry clumped together, meat fatty and chewy, sauces plain and chips reheated to death. Needs to be closed down. Liberty taking people's money. All good posts I see are old, may have been nice at one time but not anymore.

Order took less than 15 minutes to arrive two miles away, through several roundabouts and malfunction junction. The satay was dark brown, with no recognisable Satay attributes, except the chewy chicken. It was also incredibly sweet. Bog standard fried rice was ok, rest of the meal was a waste of £27.

Good value and plentiful portions. Very quick service and friendly. The establishment looked clean and tidy and you could see the cooking area behind the reception counter. Comfortable sitting area while waiting for the order to be completed. Will return.

Was our favourite Chinese for the past 10 years or so but the last few we've had have been terrible. When fans of onion in dishes think there us to much and everything is to salty ( and we don't mind salt) then sonething has changed. Thee quality of the meat and quantity in the dishes has gone . The last one a few weeks ago left both if us ill and drinking pints of water all night. Don't know what has changed but definatly looking for a new Chinese.😣😢

This has be the worse Chinese I have ever tried simply vile everything had no flavour and was over cooked. The only thing edible was the prawn crackers. Safe to say will not be ordering from here again. Back to Crystal house for us. Only tried this as they were shut.

Ordered at 6.45pm on a Sunday night and were told it would be with us at 7.45. by 8.15 it hadn't arrived so called to check up on it, apparently it was with the driver and wont be long. It finally arrived at 8.45, 2 hours later , the driver told us he had picked it up 15 minutes ago. Food was dry and cold and only two dishes edible and the service was rude.

I waited two hours for a delivery. Ordered via Hungry House who ended up calling the owner direct when neither of us could thru calling the shop. When it finally arrived, it was disappointingly NOT worth the wait. Chicken was dry. Ribs were dry. I won't be using them again.

We had special foo young, chicken satay, special fried rice and barbecue spare ribs. The foo young was dry and had grissly bits of pork in it, and no bean sprouts. The satay sauce was watery and didn't have any taste to it and the spare ribs were full of big white lumps of grissle and hardly any meat. Threw half my meal away along with lots of white grissle. Feel like I have wasted £24. I am not usually one to complain but I am so disappointed. :-(

Pedimos desde aquí quizás una vez al mes y cada vez que es excelente. Tienen el mejor especial chow mein que hemos tenido. El cerdo a la barbacoa en la parte superior es tan buena. Simplemente excepcional y hemos probado la mayoría de los otros hoteles de la zona. No es un parche en lotus.

We tried Lotus again after a couple of average meals. This was better than previously but still not amazing. If you want a standard Chinese takeaway this fits the bill.

food was late and a bit cold, wasn't that great as have had loads better considering it was a bit more expensive than other places. Chow main had lumps of gristle as meat in it as they were very chewy and bitty and no sauce, very plain as it was the House special. i would not recommend this place and will not be ordering again from here. most likely why this place is not on Just Eat. rice had lumps in it chicken balls and Prawn toast were the only thing that was nice out of the whole meal. sorry for giving a bad review but we eat Chinese a lot and with all these good reviews i was quite shocked on how poor this was.

I've used Lotus Express several times now, I can't fault them at all. The food is great and reasonably priced. I've only ever picked up my order, but it has always been ready on time when I've arrived. They've been absolutely fantastic about food intolerance/disease.

Been using lotus for 15 yrs , Ben and Yea always happy to please with any special requirements or changes in content to std dishes.

Pedí mi comida de mi habitación de hotel. El menú era estupenda, el sitio web fue sencillo. Incluso podíamos pagar en línea. . . . . fabuloso. Sugirió una hora de entrega, que estaba bien, pero antes de que pudiera ir a recepción para esperar, nos llamaron a la puerta de nuestra habitación del hotel, desde el conductor de la entrega.

First time I've been here and the food was excellent.

Delivery and customer service was ok. However, pad Thai was awful. I know how pas Thai is done and tastes. The pad Thai from lotus is like satay shrimps with peanuts on top. All of this is just covered in big amounts of Salt!

Cada vez que seleccione nuestro tiempo de entrega y se hace aceptadas y luego en una ocasión fueron 50 minutos temprano y todavía tiene tres niños pequeños en el baño y no podía comer mientras estábamos ocupados. Las otras veces ha sido tarde, no me refiero a 10 minutos normalmente entre 40 a 50 minutos, sin embargo, esta semana después de 1 horas 20 y 24 llamadas demora todos hicieron caso omiso. Entonces me puse en casa hambrientos, que también intentó ponerse en contacto con ellos, pero no sirvió para que mi marido llevó a ellos. Ninguna disculpa nada y luego dos artículos que faltaban. Vete a otro sitio! !

They misheard my house number so delivered 5 doors down and gave my phone number to an angry neighbour as they had decided I must be a prankster without even contacting me first! So the delivery guy left there and then phoned me i cleared up the mistake and got my food, only to be hit with the most abusive text message from the neighbour and then a phone call. So I cleared up the matter with the neighbour but i was very very unhappy and couldn't eat my food. The store do not care at all and won't give me a refund.

The Most Friendly Take Away service for miles, The service is Prompt & I can never fault the Food, I am not over adventurous within the Menu, however the dishes I order I totally Enjoy, very lucky to have such a Fantastic Takeaway so close to Home.

I have used this takeaway for many years and happily undertake a six mile round trip to buy their lovely dishes. I recommend the bundled meals for two. Very good value. The food does not suffer from over salting like many others.

An excellent Chinese Delivery service. They provide great food very quickly. I've even had my delivery arrive less than 20 minutes after ordering on occasion.The food is provided in plastic containers which is very easy to dish out and re-use.The food itself is delicious with very reasonable prices and set menus. 2 people can stuff themselves on a range of Chinese food for less than £30As far as Chinese takeaways go this is one of my regulars. Highly recommend
