We recently booked and visited this establishment for a Sunday roast / 93rd birthday party, (not me by the way!) as we were staying locally for the weekend. Well what can I say!!, as soon as I arrived, the outside looked like someone’s house in this tiny, yet beautiful village, however once over the threshold it became apparent how large and beautiful the inside of this pub was, even Doctor Who would’ve been impressed with this tardis! I and another family member were greeted by a warm and friendly faced landlady, and she was a lady! Asked where we were from and made us feel incredibly welcome, then she let herself down by undercharging us for our pints £4.50 each!! At home in Wiltshire I pay £6.50 for the very same pint. We were shown to our own large table (11 people), set on our own. This restaurant was impeccable. The food was perfect with some difficult family members dietary requirements, even the chef came to the table which turned out to be the landlord, what a nice guy he was too. This place was so good, I felt only obliged to buy the landlord and landlady a drink to say thank you for looking after us. After giving the 93-year-old the bumps to celebrate, we left happy and fulfilled. Thank you guys!

Having seen the reviews of this cafe, we decided to take an elderly friend for lunch. Having driven through beautiful Welsh countryside we arrived at 12.45. There was a welcome sign saying what the soup of the day was with the price…all seemed well. We entered the cafe and there were plenty of tables with tables outside. However, upon our entry we were asked if we had booked! When we said no, we were told that all we could be offered was a dessert and a drink! When I pointed out that nothing on their website said bookings were required, I was told that bookings were required! We were told no seats were available inside, so went and sat outside and had a scone for lunch! We noted that the cafe was completely empty of customers when we left an hour later. I suppose all who booked could not make it! The scone was nice, but not really adequate for a lunchtime meal. I should add that the Ty Bach was like an outdoor privy. There were electric socket unit hanging from the wall near a sign that warned of very hot water. I doubt the facility would pass a safety inspection! All in all we were extremely disappointed. Having driven some miles to take a friend to lunch, we feel we were let down by false advertising on the website which simply said it was open Thursday to Sunday and offered a full menu. The sign at the door offered soup of the day, but obviously not to us. BE WARNED… they apparently require customers to book in advance. The toilet facilities are dangerous!

Used this place as we needed accommodation for a night to visit a local restaurant. A very well appointed and comfortable room. Car parking at the rear also a bonus. Good bar downstairs. The big bonus is the host, John. A very obliging and helpful chap.I cannot comment on the food but, Sunday lunch there is very popular. There is a bit of work in progress but, nothing to worry about. We would use again.

Had the worst experience at the huntsman tonight had curry and chips it was disgusting I told the lady behind the bar who seemed to look like the boss but she was not interested at all which I was taken aback so will not go back again and will tell my friends not to go there you should give your staff a talking to to make sure there customers are looked after

This is a perfect British cafe with lots of different freshly cooked options. I had the vegetarian breakfast, said I didn't want toast and was asked what else I would like extra instead! I chose the fried potatoes rather than the hash browns and they were perfectly cooked - in fact everything was, and not greasy at all. They even had my favourite camomile tea. My companion wasn't hungry but fancied a coffee, I asked for an Americano and they said we don't do those but you can have a milky coffee. At that point I fell a little bit in love with this place. The chargrilled tomatoes on my breakfast were really tasty, as was everything else. Lots of sauce sachets on the tables. They have signs up saying they only use Heinz baked beans, free range eggs, and soya oil which is suitable for vegetarians. Friendly helpful service and a real community feel means this little gem is well worth a visit. Handy for the station and the town centre too. We'll be back!

First time ever had food at the restaurant and would highly recommend it. Plenty of fish recipes, wife was delighted and enough options for me and the kids aswell. We were told there might be a possible delay on food, in all honesty it was the standard time you'd expect to wait and looking out to the harbour spotting boats and birds including a swan flying the kids were enjoying the view. Kids meals were plentiful, had I realised the size we would have ordered 1 meal and split it between them. Both adults meals were very tasty and we have already recommended going there to our friends and family.
