No longer do food. They stopped during the pandemic. A local drinkers type pub. Nice place for a drink. Now I have to add more words blah blah

What an awful pub to go . Even though they say dog friendly . We were asked very rudely to leave as my dogs were barking at a dog that was loose off the lead . It's a very clicky pub . I would avoid at all costs .

A group of us went to the plough inn for our Christmas party. The place was lovely and warm with a wood burning fire, the atmosphere was lovely, table set out beautifully. The food was absolutely delicious very well presented and plenty of it. Even down to the mince pies with a lush icecream. A very enjoyable evening was had by all. I would highly recommend this place. Fortunately, nothing has changed at this pub! We came for a family Sunday dinner and again we were not disappointed. Food portions were generous and hot, meat well cooked and tender ( we had the beef, pork and chicken ) and the pudding finished everything off nicely. The pub itself is clean and welcoming as are the staff who are a credit to the place. Well done and thank you!

Sunday lunch was really tasty but portion was very small. Had 3 small thin slices of beef and 2 very very small roast potatoes on plate. The vegetables came in the smallest possible serving dish - swede, carrots, peas and cauliflower. Swedes weren’t mashed probably had big hard lumps. All veg portions were small -enough really for one person. No other potatoes were given. Gravy was very tasty though. For £9.95 p/p one would have expected much more food!!!

I called in Saturday evening without a reservation and ordered chicken curry with half rice/chips. The curry had no sauce and no taste. I expected boiled white/basmati rice but had brown stodge. Some of the chips were hot the others cold! Altogether not good value at all. My first and last visit.

We came for a traditional Sunday lunch and that's exactly what we got. The pub was full so we were pleased we had booked. Tables nicely spaced out and the bub was clean and well presented throughout. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was the star of the show. The vegetarian pie option was enjoyed as was the beef and chicken dinner. Plenty of hot vegetables and gravy, nice tender meat, roasties, stuffing and Yorkshire puds. Excellent value for the money. We had three different puddings afterwards, and they were all great. Really enjoyed the whole outing, the staff, the food and the pub atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit as you will be well looked after.

I sit here, my mind filled with great memories of my childhood, my heart filled with happiness and my stomach filled to bursting point. The Plough took me to my happy place, a cold February Sunday in 1990 in Islington, London. The roast dinner was a delight, Yorkshire puddings, turkey, all the trimmings, sides of greens, gravy so good you'd be willing to buy it by the pint. Roast potatoes, with that subtle, crispy crunch on the outside, but that soft floury yet buttery taste on the inside, cooked as close to perfection as you can get. All followed by a berry crumble and real custard, that was so wonderful, if no one else was around you'd probably loosen a few holes on your belt and ask for another serving.

When we're in the area, we always call to the Plough Inn for food, and no matter how busy they are, they squeeze us in. We visited on the last weekend in April, and after Carew market, we were going to go back to Tenby for food, but couldn't resist calling to the Plough for a roast dinner. As always, it was very busy, but we managed to get a table for 6 after a 15 minute wait, which was well worth it. The food is always great, plenty of quality meat, large turines of fresh veg and lots of scrumptious gravy. The bar staff are pleasant, and the servers are always rushed off their feet, but friendly, helpful and smiley. We said a quick hello and goodbye to the lady that cooks, and thanked her for making something different for our fussy teenager. We left with full bellies, happy kids, and happy us, as the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Give this place a try when you're in the area, you'll see why we like it so much!

I called here on the 29th April 2018 for Sunday lunch. I had been here before and found it great. On this visit though; things were very different. There were two of us. We were put in a small room to the side of the pub. We ordered our food. I was going to go the whole three courses but only ordered the first two. I would order dessert at the end. My friend ordered his main course and decided to have that as my starter came out. I had a prawn cocktail. It only had eight prawns on the plate and they were forced thawed and tasteless. (Forced thawed is using hot water to defrost them). As fast as I'd finished it and before saying anything about it my main course was quickly pushed in front of me. I waited ages then I had to ask for my vegetables. The meal wasn't hot. the veg and potatoes were only lukewarm. Again no one came to ask about the meal. We were again kept waiting for a long time and had to go to ask for the plates to be cleared. When we asked the cook in the kitchen if someone could take our dessert order she reacted so rudely we decided not to go any further. She was constantly bossing the very young staff around. I thought she was arrogant. Perhaps instead of bullying the staff around; she could pay more attention to the customers who were all kept waiting. This isn't the kind of pub i'd go to again.

Food was far better than many mainstream restaurants we have eaten at, and would definitely recommend a visit! Went to this pub on a Saturday based on the excellent reviews and the photographs of the cuisine. I was really looking forward to a quality dinner. The pub is simply a local pub. There was only two of us apart from what were clearly locals and friends in the bar next door. The pub was very plain and dated and had two rows of tables chairs. We both had fish and chips which were ok but not the standard of cuisine shown in the photos. It was clean and the staff were fine but pictures and reviews do not accurately reflect the standard of this pub and quality of cuisine. Certainly not high end, just an OK pub.

Stopped here after going to Carew market. Ordered a Sunday lunch, sat outside. Overall pretty good, but a few points I'd take issue with:When you're serving Sunday lunch outside, you need HOT plates and something to cover the plates with while you find the customer. When you're struggling to find your customers, outside, while their food goes cold, maybe you should consider NUMBERING the tables.Portion of vegetables (and the tiny gravy boat) for two people was TOO SMALL. Literally a spoonful of peas, a spoonful of carrots... six small boiled new potatoes... There was a fair selection, but definitely not enough (and I'm not some 25-stone greedy person)

Driving along & feeling peckish on Sunday I thought I would get off the main road to look for a pub, I spotted a sign 'Sunday Lunch" just off the A477 at Carew Airfield roundabout.Just a few hundred yards on found 'The Plough Inn' a small but homely pub with big car park.Inside was warm and welcoming.Main dining room with large log burner glowing away, and a another couple rooms all open plan which were in full swing to watch the Rugby Match between Wales & Ireland all good fun.Plus there is another room given over for customers to play on a 'pool' table. The bar comfortably joins them altogether with swift pleasant service.Hooray Sunday lunch turned out to be everything it should be, My Roast with all the trimmings was superb, and far more than I could eat, with yet another dish of mixed vegetables standing by! My wife had beautiful Salmon dish with all the trimmings, again very generous proportions. There were very few empty seats which speaks volumes.Having now been there I can see it's a pub for allCertainly a pub that has to be on my will use again list.Enjoy, we did,Mervyn

My 'local' pub, and have to say their Sunday lunch gets better and better, nice sauce with the leeks (got so wrong by a lot of places, always too runny, etc). The plough kitchen staff have got their sauce just right! Veg not over cooked, pork good, gravy tasty....and, always, always, friendly staff and good service.....

The plough is a great little pub with a brilliant atmosphere. The food is traditional pub fayre and is excellent value for money. A very warm welcome is extended to all visitors and if you're lucky you might meet Snoopy and Diesel, the pub's 2 very friendly dogs. Would definitely recommend.

Been here several times for Sunday lunch his year. Always had a lovely meal and very modestly priced. Staff helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it (but don't too many of you go there on a Sunday otherwise we might be able to get a table - lol).

our first visit and will be our last. My husband had tough microwave heated beef and i had chicken breast that tasted boiled . Frozen yorkshire pudding , horrible stuffing and micowave heated tasteless veg. At £8.75 we expected a nice sunday dinner . The pub is shabby and smells musty and damp. Would not recommend !!!

This was my first visit since the new cook has been there, and the improvement in the menu and the quality of the food is massive. We all had a different dish, and each of us finished every mouthful. Nice to see a pub that doesn't use packets and jars, delicious fresh ingredients, we'll cooked and very reasonably priced. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, great service, and a wonderful cook. We've been to many pubs and restaurants in the area, now that they have a new cook and a new menu, I'd say the Plough is the best. Will be back more often.

I discovered this restaurant by taking a wrong turning. Sageston is the location you need to enter into your Sat Nav. Despite not having booked and an obvious busy lunchtime, a table for two was found almost immediately. The meat was not "re-manufactured" as some are and the vegetables were served in tureens for helping oneself. Its best feature was the availability of small portions at small prices. Well done, the Plough Inn, and thank you for prompt and friendly service at the table.

Well where do I start? We went up to the plough for what is only our 2nd camping trip ever, and booked in to pitch our tent. From the time we arrived to book in (the young lad behind the bar was really helpful) until the time we left was fantastic, apart from the eary wigs in our tent which was my fault as I didn't zip up my bedroom lol. We were visiting family in Hazelbrook which was a site across the road. We went for a drink on the way back and the staff were absolutyely fab. We fancied chinese and Susan and Rick behind the bar gave us a menu and even the house phone to call it in as I didn't have much signal. We booked in for Sunday lunch today with my family that was staying there as well, and we wern't disappointed it was lush, and complements to alanda and her staff for cooking a really good dinner. As for the dogs yeah they came to say HELLO last night, but you had to call them over., they didn't just mingle as they are well trained, and thats all we seen of them, and off course they were no where to be seen when the dinners were being served today.I cannot praise this welcoming pub enough and I will be returning, and anyone that doesn't rate this highly don't know they born.... Thank you all for a lovely stay, we'll be back Sue x

We have been to the plough on numerous occasions, for fundays etc. We really enjoyed the classic car show, halloween party and Paul Satori fundraiser day. Last Sunday we popped in after a busy morning for a Sunday lunch, we decided on a small roast for two - we had plenty to eat, and couldnt believe we both ate and had a soft drink for under £11 always a warm welcome, even the dogs are friendly, we'll be back soon.

One of the best if not the best establishments to visit if anyone is visiting this area. More than reasonable prices for both food & drink. The quality is first class too. Evening meals & Sunday lunches available - although it is advisable to book a Sunday lunch. Staff are friendly as are the locals who will make you feel 'at home' in no time at all. There is also a camping/caravanning area to the rear where visitors are able to stay if they so wish. Although I live the other side of the water in Milford Haven, I frequent this particular establishment with friends and family several times per calendar month by choice.

Traditional, characterful pub owned and run by a decent man. Good local customers and selection of drinks. No food but if you want a welcome where you dont have to feel like a holidaymaker, this place is for you.

It was a rainy Sunday in Pembrokeshire. We were hungry, and a Google search pointed this place out. We almost knew what to expect and fancied a chinnese. Anyone with physical limitations do not try to access. No lights to the path and pitch dark. Once you're in it's cold and sparse. A few tables to accommodate sit downs but this place runs mostly on take aways. The cook was very busy. A young man taking orders, serving and dealing with customers coming in and out. Bit chaotic. We kept our coats on ate our dishes, which were nicer than expected. Worth a venture ... some fun a bit like faulty towers. We would go back.
