Restaurant could do with some TLC, however it was very clean, staff very friendly, service was good and the food was outstanding.

Really tasty food at a reasonable price. They were very busy but the food was hot and fresh.

I’ve just had chicken Chinese style and it was amazing , I’ve not tasted any thing like this since the 80s at the restaurant on Hamilton terrace , Fair play the best in Milford this is my new take away thank you amazing

Looking for an eatery on a stormy rainy evening and plumped for this eat-in Chinese. The food was great, hot and served with a smile and it made such a difference to taking it home to eat. It's also a take-away and a great setting to look across the river - even on a stormy night

Went here a few months ago very friendly lovely veiw of the docks and estuary to sea food was really nice hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend this Chinese restaurant it's not the Ritz inside. However, I base this on food, not looks 🍜 enjoy....

A really pleasant and very good restaurant with terrific views overlooking the Haven. A friendly welcome with freshly prepared, very tasty, and well presented dishes on piping hot plates. Highly recommended. Slightly tricky to find if you don't know where it is, but park where the satnav takes you and you will see it below you.

In my opinion, the best Chinese takeaway in Milford/Surrounding. Good portions and fresh food. Strongly advise collection on food as delivery can mean a lengthy wait. I order while I'm in there and the food is usually in your hand within 10 mins.

Ate here earlier today, the meal was beautiful and the employees were kind and welcoming, I would reccomend the watergardens food if anyone is looking for a place to eat in Milford

Nice food. Lovely views. Can get very busy on times. Offer dine in or take away and have home delivery available. You can pay cash or by card. The entrance can get very slippery when wet so be careful

So grateful to have an amazing Chinese locally. Never had a bad dish from here, food is always delivered on time and piping hot. Delivery girl is always polite and helpful as well as all the staff in the restaurant when I’ve been in. The ability to pay via card over the phone is a god send to me as I very rarely carry cash anymore. Would highly recommend!

You're better of with any other Chinese in the area. After already placing half an order... "Do you give prawn crackers or do I have to order them" "No" "Do you do crispy beef?" (Hangs up phone) Great service guys.

I have had quite a few deliveries from here in the last couple of months, the food is lovely. Last week we had a party of 8 and the food arrived on time and piping hot. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended

Only ordered sweet and sour chicken chips and special chow main . Order delivered on time piping hot friendly driver . Discovered fried rice instead. Mistakes happen. Rung them and within ten minutes replacement delivered food was hot and tasty. The best we've had in a long time. Would highly recommend 👍👍👍

Ordered food from here. Food arrived later than when they stated. It wasn’t boiling hot but was warm enough not to re heat. Part of our order was missing. When I rang to ask for it I was rudely told you will have to wait!! Very disappointed as this is usually the best Chinese in Milford.

We have had several takeaways from here and I must say it’s the best Chinese food in the area , great service always delivered on time and piping hot . Can’t wait for the nicer weather to come in and have a sit down meal in the restaurant with fabulous views of the waterway . The lady who delivers the food is so friendly too .

Iv just ordered food from the water garden and all I can say is.. Wow.. Just.. Wow.. Me and my partner James harding are super impressed, I order a chinnese takeaway at least once a week and I'm pretty gutted we haven't found this Chinese sooner. Very friendly and lovely people, it's by far the best chinnese we have ever tasted, I'm amazed and the fact it's in milford haven makes it even more amazing :) iv never been happier or more content with a takeaway order, well done water garden. Very very happy costomer.. :)

Ladies and gentlemen, my fiancee and I just had quite possibly the best chinese takeaway ever. From collecting a menu and asking for something to be cooked a certain way, nothing was a problem for the lovely staff. I'd like to acknowledge the politeness of both the gentleman and the very kind lady on the phone, both very kind and well spoken. I've had a lot of chinese food, both home here in milford, up and down the country and in several other countries but this is by far the best to date. We would 100%recommend this place. A true hidden gem on our doorstep. Thank you so much and we'll be seeing you very soon.

What a find! The restaurant is in a gorgeous setting, hidden away from the main road. A family run affair, very courteous and polite staff. I can honestly say that the food was by far one of the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. The service was both fast and polite. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely beautiful food, cheerful helpful staff and a fabulous outlook across the Haven estuary. Well worth a visit and we will definitely go back again.

Really enjoyed our take away from this restaurant. Beautifully cooked food and great value.The restaurant area looks quite small but fab views over the estuary to watch the boats.

Decoration a bit tired but the staff are really friendly wether you eat in or order a takeaway you will not be disappointed. If you eat in go for a window seat with views of the Haven.

This is my favourite Chinese to have a take away from. As a family we have a meal for my grampys birthday most years unfortunately this year he was no longer with us but we still went as tradition. We have never been disappointed and loved our food every time. The staff are attentive, welcoming and so friendly. My family is quite large, never less that 10people and usually has all ages from 18 months to 88 years. all of us leave there happy fed and content. There are no high chairs so just keep it in mind to bring along a little seat. This place has a beautiful view of the water and is the perfect place for a sunset dinner. This time of year it can be a little cold here due to it being on the rath so bring a cardi :-) xx

Went here for a family dinner after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor but wished we had gone somewhere else. Our first impression was not good as it looked like a greasy spoon cafe with a few Chinese pictures on the wall. The view across the estuary was pretty. The waitress came over to take our drinks order, we asked for Gin and Tonic but was told they had Gin but no tonic. We asked for white wine instead which tasted pretty bad. The food took quite a while to come which was a surprise as there was only us and another couple in the restaurant. The lady apologised for the delay but looked like she had just stepped out of the kitchen to serve us as she still had on her dirty apron. The food was hot, obviously freshly cooked but not particularly nice. The chicken was tough and the rice dry. but The crispy chillie beef was very nice. As a large group had arrived the two staff apologised for being short staffed and very busy. We went to the bar to pay as we did not want to wait around, and as we were standing there we could see into the kitchen where there were a pile of dirty plates stacked up under a table. As we were getting into our car to go we were even more surprised to see the lady who served us jumping into her car, still in her dirty apron, to do a delivery!

Unfortunately we didn’t eat in, but took a takeaway, because the view from the restaurant is really great. The food was excellent, we had quite a good range from the menu between the four of us, and enjoyed every dish. A great find.

This was a delicious Chinese meal and we have a coeliac in our party and was catered for well, you can't have the batter on meats prawn toast is not good for coeliacs same for wontons and the veiw is to die for

Visited this weekend for an evening meal. Not a glitzy restaurant by any means but it makes up for it in many ways. Great views over the river, friendly and attentive service, freshest Chinese meal I have had and very good portions. Look further than the slightly tired decor and enjoy the brilliant fresh food you will be offered. Looking forward to having more evenings with family here. A take away service is available as well.

Used to be good, but now, not so good in my honest opinion. Service has generally been very poor of late, which is such a shame given the amazing location. We have for the time being gone elsewhere unfortunately.

Six of us had takeaway meals from this restaurant. All of the dishes we tried were good quality and freshly cooked. There were no complaints from anybody.

Best Chinese ever. Friendly staff. Great food. closed on Tuesdays. And close sometimes over the winter months. So best to check if they are open.

Not easy to find if you don't know where it is! My SatNav indicated it was on the other side of the road and I passed it three times before asking directions. It is on the estuary side of Rath Road, tucked down almost out of site with just the top of the roof showing. The entrance is to the left as you look towards the water It serves reasonable quality "English style" Chinese food - broadly the same as most Chinese restaurants outside of London. The food was well cooked, plentiful and it was cheaper to eat in than our takeaways in Kent. Service was polite and cheerful. On the downside, they don't serve Chinese tea (Green tea that you get in most Chinese restaurants) Coffee was Nescafé instant and ice cream was vanilla or vanilla! But don't let my few negative comments put you off. The view over the estuary, with a sunset if you are lucky makes up for the shortcomings. Enjoy the view with reasonable food at an affordable price.

Lovely food. Kind and really friendly staff. One of the best parts of our Wales holiday. There were 10 of us, 5 being exuberant children but staff made us all really comfortable and even fulfilled strange requests from our little ones. Excellent restaurant

Tuvimos problemas para encontrar este restaurante aunque tenía su domicilio. Es en el lado de la orilla que conduce a la bahía y tienes que bajar los pasos correctos para llegar a ella. El servicio era muy amable y la comida era muy buena comida china de calidad. Tenía carne y verduras crujientes Chili arroz frito con huevo satay. Esta fue una de las mejores que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Mi esposa tenía Langostinos con anacardos y arroz que también era muy bueno. Las vistas del puerto de la mesa, era impresionante.

Rice was very nice, sweet and sour port balls were very strange, not pork in the middle, seemed to be some sort of very poor quality sausage, the spare ribs were very faty.

Tuvimos problemas para encontrar el lugar - El restaurante está escondido en la descuidada Water Gardens y está en las instalaciones de la piscina para chapotear antiguo para en desuso. La decoración es cansado, las alfombras pegajosas y (junto con el agua propios jardines) necesita renovar como las vistas del estuario son preciosas.

Best chinese restaurant in the area, if the food, service and attention to detail is not enough (which it most certainly is!!) the views of the waterway cannot be rivalled let alone beaten! highly recommended, eat in if you get chance.

Having reviewed twice already i do not wish to "over do it!".....so with that in mind - still amazing, still quiet and intimate, still highly recommended, and still top of our list!

This is the best place in Milford haven to go for Chinese food its always really good and the staff there are lovely so i highly recommend this place.

Moved down to Milford Haven two years ago, and left an area which had one of the tastiest Chinese and Cantonese I have ever tasted. So were not sure what the quality was going to be like near our new home. But I came across the Watergardens, and won't eat Chinese food anywhere else. So friendly, food tastes so fresh and the portion are perfect. Everyone, You have to try it, you won't be disappointed.

This is definitely a regular choice for for us. The food is excellent and the view is fantastic...a really lovely place to come and eat, and quality of cooking equally good as a take away. Only one chef means consistently good but sometimes there's a wait if it's very busy...but worth waiting for. The decor could do with a bit of a refurb, but it makes it very individual and informal. Posh it's not, but the food is authentic ! Decoration might put some off, but that helps keep it a special place for us to eat in whenever we want to ( except on a Tuesday ) .

Very friendly, reasonably priced, good chinese food in a great spot.Not wishing to put anyone off a lovely restaurant but it could be an absolutely fantastic place to eat if it had a make-over and made to most of it's unique location with panoramis views across the haven.

The place can do with a bit of an upgrade but the waitress was charming and the food was excellent - freshly cooked and incredibly tasty, not your standard mono-flavour sauces. The prawns were the best I have ever tasted in a Chinese restaurant. NB. I didn't have anything in batter

We had food from here this evening after my partner said he'd had a lovely meal from here last week. Sadly it was very disappointing, food was very bland and lacked tastiness. The sweet and sour sauce had a watery detergent taste to it and the prawns in batter were greasy. Overall really disappointing which is a shame as the food has been nice before. The prices have also gone up quite a bit too recently.

In a lovely location with great views. The place could do with a lick of paint, but that's not the end of the world! The main thing is, the food was delicious & large servings too! This was my first time here, but certainly not my last!

The food was the best I've had in my short time living here. servings were bigger than anywhere else, and the price is lower than everywhere else here too.The owner was very polite. I use this Chinese on a regular basis, mainly always takeaways. The owner/manager is extremely polite and shows a genuine care for the service that she delivers. The food is of exceptional quality for the area and have never had a bad meal! Only criticism would be the decor, could do with a refurb in the restaurant to take advantage of fantastic location. This has to be my all time favourite Chinese restaurant. Though it may not be the most polished, modern or marble furnished palace it has a genuine, honest and somewhat uniquely warm and welcoming feel to it that keeps us returning time and time again whenever the opportunity arises.Situated above the Milford Haven Waterway (a scene that has an eclectic charm with refineries set against a national park backdrop) the view whilst dining cannot be bettered by many (if any at all) restaurants in Pembrokeshire. The food is a standard Chinese offering but the cooks attention and genuine interest in your pleasurable dining experience is where the standard ends and excellence begins. If its not on the menu, but can be made for you then it will be!I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an intimate, well attended and well hosted meal in which you will be surrounded by stunning views, accommodated with a genuine welcome and presented with a very modest bill at the end of it.It might not be a polished and gem but its the sum of its parts that fills hearts......and in this case the belly too!

My wife and I took friends here for a meal, it was quiet and perfect for us to enjoy a meal and a chat. The staff were pleasant and attentive and we had a great evening.We would recommend the Water Gardens as somewhere quiet with great views.

Our group of 20 were delighted with the delicious variety of dishes that kept coming from the kitchen. We all ate royally and enjoyed a tasty plated starter then pork with ginger, chicken with stir fry vegetables, crispy beef, prawns with vegetables, lemon chicken and really good and plentiful rice dishes with prawns and all the trimmings. Everyone enjoyed their tasty meals and special dietary requirements were met ( gluten and MSG intolerant ).Thanks to Mrs Lee for opening on a Tuesday for our party.Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

New owners and now called Red Dragon. Had really tasty Chinese and in lovely position overlooking the waterway. Attentive staff and friendly and will be coming back. Good menu selection as well.

We usually have take always from here so we thought we would go for valentines day. We couldn't find the place first when we finally got there the place isn't in the best of shape and we waited over 30minutes for drinks then another 30minutes for our food order. But in the end the food was delicious the staff were friendly but slow. The bill was very expensive nearly double what the same would have cost us if we had taken it home instead of eating in.
