Busy pub in a lovely building (biggest fireplace in Tenby?!) two hand pumps on, one was unfortunately Doombar, and the other was Solar Wave (so much Cornish beer in Pembrokeshire?). Good atmosphere, we watched some love music which was lots of fun

Had Sunday lunch here yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous. Food cooked to perfection. We had the nut roast option which was one of the loveliest I've ever tasted! Fabulous staff and service and will be recommending to others

Think Wetherspoons food but more expensive. It done the job. Edit: If you want your customers to not have views like this, maybe start by telling your chef that corn on the cob doesn't need to be microwaved for 20 mins, thing looked like a yellow hedgehog.

A good selection of beers. Food is very good. Nice mix of locals and tourist customers.

Staff were lovely, nice atmosphere, dogs welcome. But the food…. I ordered sausage and mash, the mash potato was smash packet mix with uncooked bits in, the peas were still frozen and some still were and the sausages were the cheapest you can buy.

Lovely open log fire always warm and welcoming.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. IGNORANT. OBNOXIOUS. TOTALLY MADE TO FEEL UNWELCOME.

8 of us (6 children) as a walk-in and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, so so friendly, made us feel like regulars (we were actually on holiday from the north west). Food was amazing too!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Standard pub and average prices compared to the rest around the area, bit dark and dinghy. The food was OK although we had to wait for quite a while for it, chips were lovely. The onion rings looked amazing but unfortunately were cold compared to the rest of the food. Burger was a bit gristly. Bacon was very thick, but it had a lot of hard fat on it. It was OK.

One of my favourite pubs in Tenby! It’s Proper pub! Staff have always been helpful! Drink prices aren’t to bad. Great place for a few drinks .

Dropped by Five Arches Tavern recently. The food was nice, drinks were good, and the staff was friendly. A good spot for a casual outing.

Visited with the wife we had the roast beef dinner as it was a Sunday, had tried a few others had to wait to long or full up so we saw the Arches and went in enquired at the bar the land lord said pick a table come back and order which I did. The food was there very swiftly and it was served by a very attentive waitress, the meal was excellent more than enough, friendly staff great experience worth double the stars.

Nice traditional style pub, we enjoyed our visit, great that they allow dogs in.

Live music, busy bar, with a nice and friendly atmosphere, on a Wednesday evening... bonus!

Food was pretty good but extremely disappointed that nut allergy is simply not catered for as staff explained that they only had a small kitchen. Although we’re very glad that they didn’t take any risks, one of our party sat there watching the rest of us eat which kinda spoilt the meal. Can I suggest keeping a frozen meal (a pizza maybe or microwave chips) to offer - it would have transformed our visit and not made one of us feel like a total diva / burden.

Sunday lunch was unmissable! One of the nicest roast dinners I’ve ever had! Kept me full nearly all day and evening. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the owners are lovely! Ended up wearing half the gravy on my top I enjoyed it that much 😂 will be back!

Absolutely love this pub!!! Every visit to Tenby this is our first go to pub. Authentic, genuine tavern. Great atmosphere, fantastic staff, caters for everyone. I've not eaten here but the food does look amazing.

We really enjoyed our meals here last week.. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was tasty! The prices were also very reasonable.. we will definitely recommend to others and visit again the future ! 😀

Good value food in a fantastic historical building.this place does live music 3 days a week. Plus the bonus of the immersive interior with low beamed ceilings and stone walls some parts attached to the church next door dating back centuries as a mortuary. Good food at a great location close to the beaches of Tenby.

This pub sucks in all ways. Bad news of you go for food. Poor quality. Bland and tastes. Staff should be stacked especially a little over weight man. Would not visit again.

Staff was miserable and lacking customer care. Food experience was poorly delivered. Quality of the time spent in the pub was none conclusive. Local rowdy place WILL Not VISIT AGAIN.

Lovely independent pub not part of the monopoly of eateries which quite honestly are okay but are all the same with no personality highly recommend this place

I am local to Tenby and used to visit this pub regularly, particularly when it was under previous management, however sadly it has now become very cliquey and unwelcoming of 'outsiders' to the clique.. I had a few friends from away visiting for a long weekend over Bank Holiday. On the Saturday evening we paid a visit to the Tavern and were refused at the bar as we were told they had stopped serving, only for the barmaid to turn around and continue serving other favoured/local customers. On the Sunday we decided to visit again, accompanying some other people I know, and the manageress (Kelly) followed a small group of us into the toilets, stating that she was suspicious of 'lesbian activity' (following her observation of two females amongst us kissing), then caught one member of our party removing a fake flower from a display there. Due to this (although it was not made clear to us at the time), it has since been proclaimed by her and the owners that we are all barred until further notice due to 'causing damage'. No-one I have told about this can actually believe it, as at 39 years old I have never been banned from anywhere else, and am certainly not the type of person to go around causing damage to anything! The managers have also introduced a strangely limited 'loyalty card' scheme, with discounts formally given to a select 100 only (and no replacements considered when current members move away/die/etc.), whereas other pubs in Tenby with a similar offering open it to all regular pub-going locals. On a separate note, whilst I have attended The Five Arches Tavern for drinks on many occasions, I have only eaten here once, for their Wednesday curry deal. I was part of a fairly large group and every one of us sent our food back in the first instance as it came out cold (for which we were compensated with a free round of drinks), then on the second attempt I was served the blandest chicken tikka masala I have ever had; it literally tasted of nothing at all! My companions were equally unimpressed and I don't believe that any of us have returned for food since. With an abundance of pubs to choose from in Tenby, you can very easily find a better option for customer service, atmosphere and food quality. It's a shame as the building is nice enough and they provide a good live music offering, but unfortunately the management direction here has taken a turn for the bizarre. AVOID!

Fabulous atmosphere and brilliant staff can't do better 5 stars! Food outstanding for the price and the redhead waitress was fabulous!

Sadly has become very cliquey under current management. Take care not to get on the wrong side of the manageress or you will be barred for no reason! Food is a letdown also. EDIT In reply to the response received: It comes as no surprise that the "reasons" won't be published, seeing as no legitimate reason exists! I am in no way seeking to change things, thank you, as I have absolutely no desire to support this business so long as it employs a manager who abuses her power and sides with perpetrators of domestic violence against the will/advice of the police. I am actually grateful, circumstances being as they are, to have a perfect excuse to decline should friends propose to visit here and instead take our custom to any one of the many other fantastic pubs in Tenby where it will be appreciated. I only wish to warn others with regards the unpleasant and unfair treatment I have been subjected to, and suggest they do the same so as to avoid experiencing similar. All the best!

Never again. Owner waiting to tell us it was full due to walk ins. Only 1 table taken,ok 2xspecial needs grandkids,fobbed off,or basically told we not welcome,told to go to rugby club as had kids playroom. Been going here for years ,not any more.

Worst experience ever didn’t even get in the door owner stood outside no room full Sorry !! There was nobody in there 😂😂 family’s well-come don’t think so .. got two kids with special needs he could see that all we wanted was a nice quiet lunch. The kids are well behaved and just wanted something to eat. If you’re thinking about going here as a family I would think again this man needs teaching people do have additional needs. Where is thing is we’ve been here every year because we enjoy it not anymore!!

Went in tonight. Very rude manageress told us us to move cos the music was coming on. I said where will we go and she said don't know. The musicians was quite good but I will never go back there Again. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone. Very rude staff

Fabulous food, with friendly and very helpful staff. Very good old fashioned pub, which would benefit if the furniture was spruced up/built in seating recovered, still keeping the traditional feel. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

I have to say that we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals at the "five arches tavern" in tenby , I had the 10 oz gammon and my wife had the 10 oz steak . Both meals ,more than ample size,cooked beautifully as per our request, very helpful staff , prompt arrival of food , I would highly recommend this pub , friendly pub, pets allowed , great atmosphere 😀

Nice little pub with good value food, simple menu with all the usual choices. Food arrived fresh, hot and quick. Service was very friendly. The only pub we didn’t go ‘crikey’ at the prices. Thanks for keeping it simple and affordable

These days it's hard to find anywhere to go for a quick lunch that you don't need a bank loan for. Today we popped into The Five Arches Tavern Tenby. Just wanted a baguette and a drink. It was lovely to find it didn't come over priced like alot of places and it didn't take away from the quality . Five Arches well done for keeping things affordable.

Visited here today with my 20 Yr old son and wife for a nice lunch after walking five miles from Saundersfoot. Would like to say we were greeted with pleasant staff, but they gave off the impression someone had just died. Barman (or manager, couldn't tell which, but the guy had a massive chip on his shoulders so probably a want to be manager) was rude, incoherent when questioned why he wouldn't serve my son a pint with food as he'd forgot his ID. He's 20,looks 20,and can be served with food if accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over according to UK law, but he seemed unaware of this, just as his staff seemed unaware they work in a service industry and should try crack a smile. It was also questionable whether the staff serving alcohol were of the age to do so, maybe his laws are different. Anyway, here for a week, won't be spending any money there whilst we're here, and I'd advise you to do the same. P. S. I've just read the managers response to my review. With regards to educating me on UK law, perhaps he'd like to respond to why he let my son pay for the food and two beers (illegal for anyone under 18) Whilst stating he couldn't have a pint with his food because he didn't have I. D. On him? Which was it? Was he under 18 or not? If so, shouldn't have been allowed to pay for the beer and food, if not, then should have been allowed to have a drink with his meal. Seems in trying to enforce some kind of knowledge or authority on the subject, you lack both and either broke the law in your own eyes, or you just decided to not like your customers for some reason.

Lovely friendly bar staff great food 😋

My wife and I enjoyed our meals and drinks here today, lovely atmosphere and staff were very welcoming, will definitely be returning again.

We often go into the five arches for drinks at the end of a tough day on the fantastic North beach at Tenby...it is hard work soaking up the sun and wallowing in the crystal clear waters of the Bay, so a beer and a glass of wine with nibbles at the Five arches is just the treat ( or 2 ). This place is a proper boozer, locals friendly, staff friendly and tourists safe in the knowledge they can enjoy a hassle free drink. This time we have enjoyed 2 meals in the pub and the food does what it says on the tin so to speak, good honest pub grub, no frills but very good and fills you up. A proper pub in the beating heart of Tenby!

Had lunch for 4 . The food was excellent well prepared and cooked. The vegetable lasagne was particularly exceptional( we all tried a bit). The guys are very friendly, and provide excellent service. The price is great value for money, considering the high standard of the food served its not that expensive. The pub has lots of character, with lots of individual features

We called in here for a few drinks tonight as we saw there was to be Live music . We watched the musicians set up their equipment and wondered what was in store for us . Luckily , we managed to get seat in a corner and settled in to watch the show………OMG ! Blown away by the sheer talent and authenticity of this family of musicians. Ricky, Arlene and Christian played non stop for two and half hours and kept us entertained all night . We hadn’t planned to stay there all night , but did because of the amazing atmosphere this family created . This was free music , but I would happily pay to see this family !!! Had a lunch for four in this really attractive rustic establishment. All the meals were properly prepared and cooked and tasted delicious. The guys are friendly and welcoming, whilst providing excellent service. Price wise I would say excellent value for the money

We recently visited Tenby as a family and chose to have a Sunday lunch here. We all had the lamb (it was the only option they had left) but we were walk-ins with no prior booking. The food was really good! We all thoroughly enjoyed...

Lovely pub with friendly staff, it was a packed Wednesday evening here! We enjoyed a few drinks, however, I think it needs some outdoor seating as it was hot and stuffy!

Really nice oldey worldey pub with a nice relaxing vibe. Tidy food and excellent beer at way more realistic price than other blatant rip off pubs in Tenby. Staff were friendly and the singer on Wednesday (Danni) was really good. Great little pub, will definitely go back on next visit.

Great music night on Wednesday 10th May

Fantastic food, and so much of it. Service was amazing. Very friendly and made us feel at home.

Had Sunday lunch at the Five Arches last weekend and it was top notch. Plenty of meat and veg served by the friendly host. My sister gave the nutroast a big thumbs up also. Great beer which went down well.
