From Seattle, WA The food and service here are absolutely amazing! We are here with family, visiting from the States. We dropped in on Saturday and had the best fish and chips ever. Service was attentive and the staff were so friendly. Sunday we had reservations for lunch, which our family surprised us with Christmas in October. The chef and the staff played along and bought out Santa hats and even set up his phone to play Christmas tunes. Lunch was absolutely superb, the most delicious Sunday lunch with great meats and veg, and crazy good yorkshire pudding. It’s quite rare to get such amazing food with such attentive personal service. Truly first class. If you’re in the area , drop by, you’re missing out if you don’t…

My wife and I had a Sunday roast at the Victoria today. It was the best pork, and beef roast we’ve had in a long time. The pork was extremely tender, and a lot of it together with more than ample veg and extra gravy. The beef was not far short of a steak in thickness, and again extremely tender and tasty. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Lovely classic pub. Amazing food, good service. Very friendly staff. Definitely have to book a table as quite small inside but worth it. Good prices on food and good portion sizes. A great pub with vision but not pretension. An impressive range of ales brewed on the premises and great food with generous portions, cooked and served by friendly staff. The 'rustic' chips besides being delicious are grooved in a sort of canoe shape, making them ideal for scooping up delicious sauces. Everything tastes good and the service all round is excellent. I would have liked to stay longer but definitely will next time I'm down West.

Had a lovely meal. A table for 12 of us and had to order at the bar, completely fine as that is the way the pub restaurant works. Although the food took a bit of time it was very worth the wait and was delicious (I would recommend the gammon). A special thanks to our food runner Silas who was very attentive to checking on us during our meal and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Thanks to all the team at The Victoria Inn, will definitely be visiting again if we are back in this part of Wales.

We were staying in Nolton Haven and popped up for dinner , luckily we had booked as very busy with nice atmosphere, I tried the home brew ale of new gale which was very nice then had the raspberry wheat beer which was more like cider and not to my taste , however I bought 6 bottles of the other beers to enjoy at home , now to the food , quite a small menu of traditional pub grub ,I had Cajun chicken burger which was nice if a tad expensive, staff very friendly especially the lady behind the bar,we would go back if back in the area .

We also had dinner in the pub and the service was excellent, the staff were very nice and smiling, they serve classic pub food and it was all very good! This review is long overdue. We visited in Aug '23 whilst staying at the nearby Roch Castle hotel. It was a horrible Friday evening, storm Betty was battering the Pembrokeshire coast with strong winds and rain. We'd driven the half-mile from the castle and had intended to leave the car in the pub car park and walk back via the footpath. After a great meal we set off back to the hotel (which is unstaffed at night) but had unknowingly left our hotel room key on the table. A member of staff had realised our mistake and kindly drove up the hotel gates to meet us with the key, thereby saving us another return trip to the pub on foot in the foul weather. So great food and awesome customer service, I can only apologise for taking so long to leave a review!

Also known as the Victoria Inn Brewhouse, this pub is located on the main road to Solva and St David’s. Internally, the decor and furnishings are a bit ‘tired’. However our Sunday lunch was delicious served with generous portions and it was evident that the Chef had a good palate for flavour and the food freshly prepared that day ( no frozen veg!). On complimenting the chef - he mentioned that he had worked in some well respected restaurants and had worldwide experience. The young bar & serving staff were also very pleasant & friendly which added to the experience and the pub also serves a wide range of its own brewed beers. With a bit of a refurbishment of the premises and a continued dedication to serving good food - this could quickly become the place to dine in Pembrokeshire!

My husband popped by to book a late Sunday lunch for us today. Served until 4pm, then a reset before the evening service. When we arrived, we were greeted by Kate, the licensee. The pub was immaculately clean, a huge bar queue was swiftly dispatched by her husband, Andrew and son, Lewis. We both sampled the local ale. I tried the Newgale and my husband, the, ‘Wow’ IPA. Both delicious. Kate cleverly staggers bookings so that neither guest, nor staff is waiting on their order. We both ordered the Welsh beef. I ordered a child’s portion Because I don’t have a huge appetite. Their legendary Yorkshire pudding, succulent beef, mashed potato, cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas and mashed sweet potatoes with lashings of gravy and condiments were exceptional. The table before ours was a 14 person booking, yet nothing was lacking. A dog friendly pub with happy, sleeping doggies at their owners feet. A huge tent canopy for outdoor dining with a stunning view of the sea. What’s not to like? We shall definitely be returning to this little gem during our stay in Newgale. What can I say, from start to finish our visit was brilliant!!. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the lovely bar man who instructed us in what we needed to do. We chose our meals and drinks and sat down. We chose the Gammon meal, to which my partner changed his sides and added extra egg which was no bother at all. I had the gourmet burger, which wasn't sure when it came out if would finish as such big portions. The food was absolutely delicious and we have tried to think where we have had a better meal out but really can't We had more drinks, my partner likes his lager in straight glasses but unfortunately the bar person misheard and it was in dumpy glass, I said oh I'm sorry I asked for straight glass, and without any hesitation he went to pour another but the barrel ran out, he quickly changed it and it was sorted. And the printed pub brochure we found that says they do breakfast from 9am in the pub is obviously out-dated. > a choice of what to eat at a buffet breakfast, again, this is something you may not appreciate until you are faced with the choice provided in the cool box you are given containing breakfast > croissants that are apparently meant to be eaten the day before (they are provided the day before and say “eat on day of purchase”), and don’t fare well after being kept in a cool box anyway > toast > something savoury or protein-based for breakfast, either hot or cold (eg just some cheese would be nice) > a signon-based Wi-fi to avoid it being both unencrypted (true not such a big issue with https, but let’s get fully secure please) and thus requiring a T&C page to be acknowledged every time you return to the B&B > Wi-fi that works in the pub garden > more than minimal space for “stuff”, you need room for that cool box too. > to be “known” as a B&B guest in the pub > messages left on pub vm about menus and table bookings to be returned (tried twice, not even indicative menu available on line but “booking advised”) > any emails sent with comments about the stay to be answered (tried twice) That said, the rooms are very new and nicely done, best we’ve seen in a while in fact, a nice firm bed and good linen (oddly over-sized duvet cover), good bathroom showers. Providing moisturiser was nice. Big smart TV (needed a retune, hint: best not leave yourself logged into the apps!), fast fibre broadband. No idea what the food is like at the pub as we didn’t eat there, but did feel some pub staff were a bit off-hand.

Food was good and great service. Loved the beer from the on site brewery. Dog and people friendly 😀

My experience was underwhelming. I had gone here previously and it was much better. I waited over an hour to eat as they had not remembered to transfer my order to the chefs. Once I actually got my food (a burger) it had cheese on which was not on the menu (the menu itself was on a chalkboard near the bar, which makes ordering impractical.) I sent my burger away and they finally gave me a burger without cheese. The meat itself was burnt around the edges, thin, and of an all round below par quality. I ate it all, only because I was hungry. The only good part was the scenery, which was quite beautiful. I hope they get better.

Amazing pub. The food is really good and covers what you would expect in a pub. The chips are particularly good. The pub has a micro brewery and has a good range of very nice beer. Would recommend it above anywhere in the area.

Booked a table for 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs for an evening meal. Sat at table number 10. Food was exactly what we ordered and the 2 children ate every morsel. The fish and chips were in my husband's words really good. The gammon came with 2 eggs and was equally good. As was the ribs and scampi. We found it great value for money and empty plates speak volumes. Ice cream for children soon went as did the sticky toffee puddings and the chocolate brownie. The puddings all got a big thumbs up. Service was great. All staff friendly. Only one thing marred the meal which was the rude couple sat near us we certainly would highly recommend the Victoria for food and wouldn't like to think the rude couple wouldn't put other people off going and enjoying a meal.

We were passing on the way to Haverfordwest having failed to find a dog friendly place to have some food. Kate went above and beyond, and despite being closed for food cooked us some lovely scampi and chips which we were extremely grateful for as it was such an awful day and we had all but given up finding anywhere that would allow us to bring our little dog in. Lovely person, excellent food. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Kate 😊

Highly recommended. Never been to a N and before where you do not have personal interaction with the owner but it works. Great rooms, top location and next to a microbrewery/pub/restaurant. Already planning on returning next year.

Passing by on route to our campsite and decided to turn around and drop in to stock up on beer. Very friendly and staff. Lovely beer. We only had a quick snack consisting of chips before hitting the road so can’t comment on the menu.

I was disappointed in my visit to the Victoria Inn. We were recommended to eat here and as such, booked sometime in advance. When booking we’re told that on a Sunday it was only a roast and the last service was 6:30pm. We booked for 6:30pm and, after a long day travelling was very much looking forward to a roast. When we arrived we were told it was outdoor seating only and that “luckily your table is in the dry” (it was a wet & cold autumn evening, it has been raining most of the day and the pub has a large sail over outdoor bench’s) and that they “didn’t serve roasts”. The change in menu and outdoor seating wouldn’t have been a problem if we had been told in advance. I understand things are difficult at the moment but some warning or even an apology for the miscommunication would have been nice. I also have a slight concern about what would have happened if our bench had been rained on. The outdoor area is nicely set-up but there is one small heater which most guests were huddled around. It would be better suited for a summer evening. Despite this the food was nice, it was good pub food, however it was overpriced for what it was. The quality of the food is the only reason this is a 3 star review, otherwise it would have been lower. Food service was quick, I’ve never been served food before drinks before, although we were very much left to it. Overall a little disappointing.

We arrived here on the recommendation of others but found it severely lacking. We booked a table as reviews suggested it would be busy but it was quite quiet at 1700. I was very disappointed with the menu which consisted of the usual fare that would suit an elderly bus party with nothing special or even interesting. Having booked we felt it would be rude to leave so we ordered, hoping the short menu would be perfect. What we received was Wetherspoons fare, over "warmed" burger bun and microwave rice included. To say this meal was mediocre is to be complimentary, don't waste your money.

It was a rainy Sunday in Pembrokeshire. We were hungry, and a Google search pointed this place out. We almost knew what to expect and fancied a chinnese. Anyone with physical limitations do not try to access. No lights to the path and pitch dark. Once you're in it's cold and sparse. A few tables to accommodate sit downs but this place runs mostly on take aways. The cook was very busy. A young man taking orders, serving and dealing with customers coming in and out. Bit chaotic. We kept our coats on ate our dishes, which were nicer than expected. Worth a venture ... some fun a bit like faulty towers. We would go back.

Traditional, characterful pub owned and run by a decent man. Good local customers and selection of drinks. No food but if you want a welcome where you dont have to feel like a holidaymaker, this place is for you.

The location styling and ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic, it’s just a shame the food did not meet the same standards We skipped starters and went straight to the main menu. We had “Oceans Muscles” & “Summerberry Fillet Steak”. The muscles were ok, a good sized portion that were tasty and neatly delivered. The sauce was nice albeit a little thick. The menu advertised the dish would come with “chunky chips & bread for Dunking,” the bread was forgotten. A side of vegetables ordered alongside this dish were also forgotten. The Summeryberry Fillet Steak is one of the more expensive items on the menu. It was really disappointing and not worth the £36.95. The meat itself was ok, a good size and well cooked. The garnish looked really sad and wilted, the Brie that is served on top of the steak was thin & bland, but worst of all was the summer fruits. They looked, felt and tasted like they had just been defrosted and placed around the plate to make it look fancy and colourful. It made the whole dish taste really sharp, the ingredients just didn’t compliment one another. Ordered alongside this was the Baytrees “famous” garlic cheesy new potato’s. Microwaved garlic butter and melted cheese stuck under a grill for a minute or two? Not sure how, but again it was really watery. Overall we were so disappointed we skipped desert, settled up having had to challenge the missing items on the bill and left. It’s not somewhere we would go back to.
