Still the best brekky in Llanelli; old school type cafe with no fancy bits. I enjoyed the Full Monty immensely, although I really could have settled for just the large breakfast. The taste and servings haven’t changed in years.

Positive, the brekki was absolutely amazing! Negative, customer services is absolutely shocking!! Utterly rude, clearly got no time for customers. Then doesn't give us correct drinks, when we tell them, they go back and we can hear them saying we're moaning about everything. Will not return till there's new staff.

First time in years that I have been here. It used to be fantastic for breakfasts and cooked dinners, however they now seem to do mostly sandwiches, baguettes, toasties and panini's. all of which were hugely overpriced and poor quality. This cafe used to be very busy but was empty when we were there. We won't be back.

Hadn't been here in maybe 15 years or more. Remembered the breakfast was legendary and I had a large breakfast which was absolutely class and didn't wait long for it either, highly recommended!!

Ordered bacon & tomato sandwiches plus coffee for collection. They were ready before time. The bacon was great quality and cut thick, the tomato had good flavour too. Conveniently over the road from Llanelli station, we were able to grab our food and jump on the train.

It is always a pleasure to dine in this delightful cafe because of the delicious and reasonably priced breakfast. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, and there is a warm and safe vibe about the place. It is also great for people-watching, socialising or simply reading a book as you enjoy freshly-cooked food.

Ordered food yesterday, the man who picked up the phone obviously couldn't speak English, he didn't understand a word I said, went in to pay and the cafe was bland and boring. The food was mediocre, but the experience wasn't good. Food was also really expensive!!

My breakfast arrived this morning with a thick, black hair on top of the egg (I don’t have dark hair so it clearly wasn’t mine). The whole thing went in the bin. It’s worrying that they aren’t more conscious about hygiene under the current circumstances with covid. I won’t be back. Ps wear hair nets! 🤮

Used to call here for breakfast a few years ago nearly every weekend, however I visited for the first time in years and was shocked at how poor the food was, the bacon was nearly black and the sausages undercooked, sauté potatoes basically oil and the beans were cold. Won’t be returning here anytime soon I’m sorry to say.

We visited today as friends had told us, some time ago, that the place was worth a visit. The cafe was relatively quiet when we arrived but there were still uncleared tables. There was no welcome from the two members of staff that we could see although the two breakfasts that we ordered arrived promptly with a smile. The food was reasonably priced but of a very basic quality. Disappointing experience. It appears that the quality has diminished over time so it is unlikely that we shall be making a return visit.

Good choice of menu for a reasonable price. Staff friendly but only open until lunchtime. Ideally for breakfast and lunch only.

It’s been about 18 months since I was last in the Coffee Pot I ordered a large breakfast which could have been warmer my sausage and beans were just warm also part of my order never arrived at all, on the plus side the cafe was very clean and nice and bright, staff friendly. I would have rated the Coffee Pot higher if my food was warmer and if everything I ordered arrived but I could have also got off my backside to speak to someone and would be confident that matters would be put right straightaway, however I shouldn’t have to, it’s attention to detail that matters things should be right first time every time, in a perfect world maybe, but as a customer I’ll remember having warm food and part of it missing! I might try again in another 18 months or maybe not at all.

What a lovely friendly cafe with good home cooked food. We visited here a couple of mornings while away for a few days at the beginning of March we had excellent food both days we visited nothing was to much trouble.

There are a lot of cafes in most towns cities and it takes some time to work your way throught the dross. This place is bright and airy, clean and popular. The food was excellent, service quick and the staff very pleasant. It is only a cafe but one of the best ones in Llanelli. Close to the railway station so pop in for a nice breakfast.

I have eaten here many, many times. The breakfasts are served all day and are great and the roast dinners (only served on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays) are lovely! Very reasonably priced. It is always clean and tidy inside and the staff are polite.Only negative is the lack of an indoor toilet, there is a toilet available but it is outside.

Right, unlike these absolute idiots below me. I will keep this plain and simple, the breakfasts are fantastic, what do these people expect? Coffee was hot? Guess what, its supposed to be Mark N you absolute ballbag. Havent been in here for years for breakfast. But called this week on the way to the station.Had a small and a large breakfastThe small breakfast consists of basically 1 bacon 1 sausage 1 egg 1 piece of toast and then your plate is filled with undercooked potatoes.The large is basically the same but a bit bigger. When we asked where the mushrooms were for the large we were told they only come with the mega breakfastVery disappointing. And when we asked where the toilets were we were told they were outside!!!!Didnt fancy that idea on a cold day so we left.Have had much nicer and bigger breakfasts with indoor toilets in llanelli

Located just across the road from the railway station, this is a great place to get a meal while waiting for a train. I ordered a cooked breakfast plus a coffee.. The food was cooked well and very tasty. Well worth visiting

We had a break in waiting for a train connection so walked to this amazing café. Our breakfast order arrived within minutes and the coffee was lovely. The quality of the food was good and, more importantly, cooked to perfection. Recommended.

We arrived here for breakfast we got sat down quickly. Our drinks were prepared quickly and were served to us shortly afterwards. The meals were delicious, especially the baked beans. The vegetarian option was lovely.

Los desayunos son geniales, con patatas fritas gruesas y tocino. patoto Cualquier comida que se pide es excepcional. Mis recomendaciones son para probar la solla y patatas fritas, nuggets de pollo, patatas con setas y gravey galletas.

Como el Travelodge paramos en no hacer el desayuno un empleado recomendado este café por su cercanía a la estación del tren y la calidad de su comida. No nos decepcionó. Mi grupo de 4 cada una tenía el pequeño desayuno (afortunadamente). Fue el más grande, pequeño desayuno que he tenido y la calidad de la comida era excelente. Bien, la decoración no es maravilloso, pero está limpio y ordenado y el personal es agradable.

I was working in Llanelli and visited the coffee pot for a large breakfast and I can honestly say that the breakfast was lovely and the coffee was superb if there was a downside it would be that there were to many fried potatoes on the plate but hey you can't moan for having to much can you......I would recommend the coffee pot for a good breakfast

Called on a Saturday morning at 10 am expecting a traditional breakfast. Debated between the large and small and luckily went for the small - expecting bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms, hash brown, beans or tomatoes- what we got was bacon, egg, sausage, beans, white toast and chips !! This is not breakfast!!! Come on who wants chips for breakfast?? If your going to serve this to your customers at least let them know by way of the menu. I don't eat chips or white bread. So all I could eat was the bacon, egg, beans and sausage. All apart from the sausage tho was good. Not sure where the sausage came from but I didn't like the orange colour to it. Good cuppa tho !! Will I call again - a definite no !

The breakfasts here are very good and the prices are also decent, you can get a large breakfast for under £5.

I have been coming here for years and the breakfasts have always been great. It's mostly full of workmen getting a hearty breakfast but is also family friendly. The 'small' breakfast is huge and is cheap as chips. Love this place

Been here for breakfast many times so we thought we would try Sunday lunch.Glad we did five different vegetables potatoes & roasties beef that fell apart and lovely hot gravy & & reasonable price.Would defiantly go again.

Fantastic food at this café, great value for money and the portions will keep you going all day. The service is excellent so if you only have a short time to stop for food this is the place for you. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the local Travelodge and were getting the train home, the station is right opposite the Coffee Pot. I had the large breakfast, which was large and particularly liked the bacon (thick) and the potatoes. My partner had egg on toast and here eggs were done very nicely with a runny yoke. The toilet is access from outside but is no further to walk than a lot of other places. Very good value for money.

Visited while home on holiday. Cafe is situated in an easy to find place - near railway station. The breakfast is cooked fresh and good value for money. The coffee is great!.

The food here is of top quality and the best bacon in Llanelli without a doubt. Service is friendly but the only let down is the dated decor. With a refurb to bring things up to date this would be the icing on the cake as everything else is really good

2 mins walk from my home and same for LLANELLI railway station. Good value b'fasts, but has recently changed with large turn-over of new staff. Haven't been there since new staff, but has been popular in recent past.

I visit this cafe every week in my lunch break, I have been going here for two years and I am yet to find a better all day breakfast. Staff very accommodating, try their home made steak pie.

One of the best places for cooked breakfast in Llanelli and Swansea area. Been here many times over the last few years and it is always consistently good food. One small thing, they need bigger plates!

This is simply the best place for breakfast in West Wales, thick bacon, lovely potatoes all cooked fresh with care. I would go here every day if I had the time.

I travel to Llanelli for work every day and always make a point of calling in as often as I can. I don't eat much meat at all and typically just order egg on toast as a light breakfast, maybe a round of toast and jam also if I'm particularly hungry. Prices are fantastic and coffee is far better than anything I'd get from more 'premium' coffee establishments. Friendly staff, clean kitchen, excellent prices and quality food. No complaints.

This long established café is a haunt for rugby players and local businessmen and women. Situated less than 100 yards from the railway station is a great eat before or after a train journey. Given it's popularity it can be a busy place early morning and lunch times. Great value with prices and the food is very good. A wide selection on the menu and the large breakfast is large. It is a local gem of a place and friendly. You can see the kitchen and its clean. International rugby days is standing room before the train heads off to Cardiff, the atmosphere is a buzz and jolly. Visiting Llanelli I would head off for that cuppa at 9.30 for the best time. Enjoy folks.

Every time we visit Llanelli, we make a point of visiting the Coffee Pot for breakfast!We can only manage the "small" one these days, but it is ample fare!It is a busy, noisy, friendly place, right next to the railway station, and we can thoroughly recommend it!

Great place to get a decent cup of tea or coffee and a bacon bap to take on the train. Donit every time I,m going to London. Great sit in breakfast as well. Cant go wrong!

i hadnt been down great western for years when i did i found the coffee pot and went in.i found a very clean and pleasant room and a very pleasant waitress. we ordered two heart attack specials, they eventually arrived,showing to me that only fresh food was served.i tucked in,it was scrummy,it was indeed a great meal, based on what i ate i would recommend it to visitors.

A varied customer, from builders to families all enjoying a good breakfast. Convenient to the railway station and easy to park outside.

Firstly may I say they large breakfast was Exellent and the bacon was outstanding but having to use the toilets I had to go outside of the building round to the lane to what at best I can describe as a cave to make matters worse there was no toilet roll or soap ' when I found some strange looking blond women who worked there I asked her could she get me some toilet paper and soap she screeched at me why the hell don't you just use the women's I'm busy . ' she was on a smoking break'. Very strange

I'm a Coffee Pot regular and their breakfast is almost faultless - with the exception of the weird spread they use instead of butter on the toast, still, maybe I should ask them for real butter one day - I bet they would change it if I asked.

terry and his staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble for them,and the food is always the same brilliant,we always go on saturday mornings before we play golf ,the breakfast sets you up for the day.

Had a large breakfast with six of my mates they had standard breakfasts and looked at me when I ordered a large one , when I got the exile community cooked meal I know why they look at me when I ordered it . Phew it took some eating to finish it , but it was very good .

Ordered 2 small breakfasts and 2 coffees at 11:45hrs, 12:30hrs still waiting for the coffee. We may get the food by tomorrow. Staff are grumpy and really ignorant. Customer service at it's worst. They are not even busy. This place is really bad news for Llanelli. Should be closed down.

you can always get good quality food from this place. its open from early morning for food. and is always full of the local tradesmen, so if you want a good breakfast an a good builder, plumber, plasterer taxi driver etc, this is the place to come.

I originally ordered bacon egg beans and chips with toast and tea all separated but the lovely lady on the till stated it would be cheaper to buy a small breakfast as all is included and I would just pay for tea. So she saved me money already. The breakfast was lovely, egg cooked to perfection. Enough beans to soak up the chips and the toast was crunchy how I like it. The bacon was excellent lovely and thick. I want to know where they source their lush bacon. I would definately come back again. Clean, lovely service and excellent value for money.

We have been a few times to the coffee pot, I don't rate much of the breakfasts there, the toast they use margarine but the roast dinners are perfect it's the only thing I will eat there it's worth going for a roast dinner... Beef is the best

From the outside this cafe gives the impression of being a lower end of the market establishment but if you decide to have a meal there you quickly realise that it is so popular it has no need to improve it's appearance . Whilst the interior has the typical ambience of a "greasy spoon" the food is anything but . They serve everything from all day breakfast to snacks , dinners and salads. There is an available menu but you can order meals not advertised there and if it's possible for the kitchen to oblige , they will , and all to a high standard . The staff , even though very busy , are always good natured and ready to bring your order . Tea or coffee is served in mugs so don't go there if you want to "point your pinky" in the air . All in all a very reasonably priced good quality cafe . We frequent the Coffee Pot once or twice a month and have yet to be disappointed . Very convenient for the railway station !

Nice little cafe, very clean, staff very friendly. We had a nice breakfast here when we arrived. You order at the hatch and the waitress brings it over in minutes, really speedy service on the Saturday we were there just after 11am. Toilets are back out the front door, round the corner and out the back, but are clean and do the job.

Lots of friends and colleagues recommend the coffee pot, I've been a few times and to be honest it's a standard breakfast, no wows but what else do you want.

The Coffee Pot is in an excellent location opposite the railway station in Llanelli, and it was very full during my visit yesterday. Although the place wa sbusy, it didn't take long for my order to appear. I had really fancied a bacon sandwich and I was pleased to discover that it was of excellent quality. I thought the bacon was nice and thick and didn't seem to be the stuff you get in the supermarket. I thought the bread was nice and fresh and the tea I had with my food was hot and strong.This was by far the best bacon sandwich I have eaten in Llanelli, and I will be heading to the Coffee Pot again when I next feel the craving for a good old bacon sarnie!

The Coffee Pot is a quaint little cafe in Llanelli directly across from the train station. My husband and I have a BIG breakfast at this cafe at least once a month. The original Big Breakfast consists of one egg, two sausage, two bacon, baked beans, toast, chips and tomato. My husband and I don't care for baked beans so we substitute either an extra sausage or egg at no additional cost. This breakfast is BIG and VERY filling and will carry you throughout most of the day. The quality of this breakfast is very high and I have to say they offer the best breakfast in town. Their chips are round and fried just right and their bacon is cooked perfectly unlike several other establishments who serve undercooked bacon. The eggs are served one way, coddled (which is really yummy). This is a neighborhood type of joint so don't look for fancy. However, they are very clean. The waitresses are a bit aloof but I think it's because they are so busy. They are helpful and fast just not overly cheery. The bathroom is located out outside of the restroom in an old fashioned out house type set up. It has modern plumbing and a sink. Like I said earlier this is a local place so it isn't fancy. It's great for grabbing breakfast before jumping on the train to Cardiff for some rugby. Lots of Scarlets fans can be seen here on a Saturday enjoying the breakfast . The cafe offers other menu options besides the breakfast (which is also offered in a small size of one sausage, one bacon and the other items mentioned above). My husband and I have only enjoyed the breakfast but the other foods look very appetizing as well. Prices are VERY affordable and this place fills up quick. Additional seating is available in a back room. I would love a big breakfast on a Sunday morning but unfortunately they're closed.
