Absolutely epic time at The Masons over the weekend, the staff, the atmosphere and all of the patrons are so welcoming and friendly, The Masons was booked for a friend's birthday and as a venue was deceptively large with loads or room both indoors and outdoors. The food was abundant and tasty, the beer refreshing, sweet and really reasonably priced without compromising on quality and virtually every mixer and cocktail was available on request. 😊 If you're looking for a great venue both rustic and nostalgic with modern amenities, free WiFi, run by a family team that will welcome you as one of their own then look no further! The venue is big enough to accomodate large parties but cosy enough that it retains all the warmth, closeness of the best of country pub's. The fact that they regularly have live music is also a massive bonus! 🤟🏼😁 I will definitely be booking for my next engagement and I'll also be popping in as regularly as I can because I was made to feel that welcome. Thank you everyone at The Masons Arms, I can't praise you all enough... Da Iawn pawb!! 🍻🤗

I have visited this pub on a number of occasions with previous owners running it and I have to say when I went there Sat for a friends 40th birthday, it was the best night I have had in a long time. Firstly it was to do with the company I was with but secondly it was the warm welcoming feeling I felt whilst being there. Steph and Rich are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The pub itself has a warm feeling about it and there is a lovely spacious beer garden out the back. I will definitely be attending more of their live singers in the future and would defo book it if I was holding an event myself. So if your looking for a quiet night in a cosy little pub or want to get your dancing shoes on and have a bit of a boogie with friends, then look no further....The Masons Arms is the place to go. Well done both, you should be super proud. I will be back. xxxx

Going off the state I picked my dad up the other night I'm going to say he had a fantastic night! We travelled from Derbyshire for a holiday in the area over New Year and called in for a drink after a drive out. We left my dad and another bloke in the pub to watch the football whilst we went back....fast forward 4 hours and my dad rings me, bladdered saying he's had the best night ever! Friends for life was his words! Can only give 5 stars for this place....although I should be sending a cleaning bill because the jager bombs a second time around weren't nice!

Popped in to ask directions to my holiday cottage extremely friendly atmosphere and was greeted by a local who came outside with me to point the way to my holiday cottage. Decided to return that evening for a couple of pints and a meal with my wife, unfortunately was advised that food was no longer available because of the possibility of fire with the thatched roof. Decided to eat elsewhere.

A fantastic afternoon having a couple of beers with the locals. We popped in to see if there was food available, there wasn’t but the local real ale and the banter with the locals made up for that. Our dog Darcy was made welcome and was given treats with the pubs dog. A wonderful couple of hours chatting and laughing with the locals and the landlady. Great local Welsh beer and great company, we’ll visit again when we come back!

Found this pub by chance on my first night in Wales (I hail from Canada and didn't know what to expect). Wandered in and was instantly greeted with smiling faces & a beautiful fire. In a matter of minutes I was sharing pints with the locals and laughing with them as we swapped stories and local histories. The proprietor, Robin, is a fascinating and kind gentleman whose had the most brilliant adventures; if you're lucky he'll tell you about some. Be sure to ask about his handmade waterfall fountain, it's fantastic! The drinks were terrific and very reasonably priced, and some nights a local chef does pizza in the garden which is positively scrumptious. The pub itself is truly lovely. Thatch roof, a stone floor, a cozy fire, gorgeous wooden beams, and so much warmth and history; you can literally feel that hundreds of years of great nights have taken place there. I had the honour to meet some truly outstanding people, including Wynn, a regular who will have you laughing so hard the tears come but can also recount incredible histories about Wales and its people. All in all, I had one of my best pub nights ever here. It was one of those perfect nights where the right people gather in the right atmosphere and the result is something akin to magic. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping in for a pint.

Warm, welcoming and Dog friendly. Came in for a drink and something to eat whilst away on Holiday in the area. Unfortunately they weren't serving food due to only recently reopening, but that didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. Thanks to the wonderful Sharon behind the bar we ended up staying for a number of hours, even the Dog made himself at home and fell asleep. Chatted to a couple of lovely people who lived in the village and their four legged friends. Definitely one of the highlights of our time away and will be high up on the list for next time we are in the area.

While having a weekend in Kidwelly, we checked trip advisor for opening times , midday to midnight I believe was advertised. My wife and I decided to walk the fair distance to The masons as we liked the look of the food. So after walking 25 minutes in the rain, we got soaked only to find no lights on, no activity and door locked!!! Thank you Masons Arms for a thoroughly wet waste of my time!! I recommend not going there as, you have no idea when this place will be open, as they clearly don't adhere to their own opening times as advertised on Trip Advisor.

I was visiting Kidwelly Castle with a group of friends and looking for a place to get a drink and some food for lunch. The staff at The Mason Arms were very welcoming as we entered and happily let us bring a dog in with us too. We sat outside in the Beer Garden, where the staff were happy for our dog to have a run around as it was quiet. The menu had a wide choice of dishes, catering for Vegetarians too. The bar had a good selection of local ales and beers as well as lagers, ciders, and other drinks. The food was bought out to us in good time and was of a fantastic quality - I personally had a Chicken Curry with Half and Half which was very tasty! My friend had the steak which came with ‘the proper’ accompaniments instead of just a salad’. Also worth a mention is the quality of the chips! And all very reasonably priced. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and if we ever return to Kidwelly, I would certainly go to The Masons Arms again. Thank you to the staff and chefs who made the meal so pleasurable.

So you can imagine when we just recived a ordinary roast dinner no carvery. The whole family were disappointed. If we had known that we would of found somewhere else to go. We were delighted that they were very dog friendly and dogs are not just restricted to one area but can sit anywhere indoors or in the beer garden.
