Willow Cafe in Carmarthenshire

We thought it was closed as it was so dark inside! But spotted a couple of sad looking people in there, so against our better judgement went in - the whole place smelt of rank old cooking oil. I hovered around the counter hoping to place an order, for one of the expensive breakfast options, but was ignored by the woman ( she was making someone else’s breakfast but could have at least acknowledged me ) after being ignored for 4 mins we decided to go and find somewhere else to eat - on the way out they turned the main lights on! Come on guys there is a cost of living crisis going on you need every customer - so up your game or go under! We won’t be going back

Ordered a breakfast that was over 2 hours late and the time was still being pushed back 3 breakfasts for £50 the kids were starving, when ringing to explain the problem and try to get some sort of idea of what happening or can happen about it the person over the phone wad so rude never known someone to be so rude then hung up while I was mid sentance. We just lost our money and never got food I'm fuming was supposed to be my mother's day treat

Perfect non greasy breakfast. Best in Llanelli. Tried a cooked dinner a couple of times and that was beautiful, just like home cooked. Would recommend

First time vizit with my family and we all had realy nice breakies and 1 dinner _ staff wS very help full too, definitly we will be back.

Great value veggie breakfast, can`t fault the place. Clean cafe with safe eating area and a smile , which helps. Parking nearby so no problem there. Usually only have a breakfast there , but there is a huge range of meals and specials to choose from. Might try a take out .

I have been coming here for a good few years now and i love the place, the owner is great, so friendly. The staff are great to and so helpful. This is definently a family cafe. They interact with the children also and have a great selection of meals for children. I would highly reccommend this cafe to anyone :) deffo one to try out! Their breakfasts are literally amazing. Good quality and great value for your money.

I have been going here for breakfast for years, and yes we try other places and always compare them to the willow and willow always wins. Plenty of breakfast choices, they will mix and match if theres something you dont like and you can easily add to it also. Waitresses are always pleasant and food is always quick and delicious. Its always busy which is a good indication of the food and its value for money. Ok its not the greatest looking place but its clean. My only criticism is that for years i always said i love the toast .... what bread is it? But recently they have changed it and its not as nice, its seems cheaper bread? Please go back to the old toast willow .... and we are veggies and never struggle to eat .

You can get a great breakfast and dinner in this cafe and both reasonably priced why not try it they have friendly staff and good service

Went for breakfast with a friend.Had not been there for many years.Very impressed, ordered a full monty with coffee.The coffee was lovely and I was surprised as it was a milky coffee.The breakfast arrived I was shocked ,bacon sausage hash brown fried potatoes baked beans egg and black pudding with toast opted out of tomatoes so had extra sausage instead.I could not finish it,but only left a few fried potatoes.Highly reccomend you try .

Excellent place to eat very good service and good value for money when we went the girls were telling us about the special offers one being main meals are only £5 pound weekdays 10 till 12 which we thought was an excellent offer. We went for the full monty wow is all I can say looking forward to next time

Been Calling at the Willow regularly 3 times or so a week for a number of years now . Found the Staff to be friendly, helpful, respectful and knowledgeable regarding food allergies and such. A comprehensive choice of dishes off the menue, with a wide choice of daily specials. There really is a vast choice and a wide choice for vegetarians . Breakfast's are very popular and come in 5 or so sizes, of course there is the option of mix matching and customising your dish. Dinners are also very popular being served everyday with a good choice or sauces to compliment. Panini's have a wide choice of fillings. There is a vast choice of toppings for Jacket potatoes and omelettes . Food presentation is taken seriously and I found every dish to be served at the correct temperature. A comprehensive choice of desserts and daily fresh cakes are always on offer at exceptional low prices. As expected tea, coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate. There is a vast choice of cold drinks. You will be sure to find a good friendly atmosphere with a warm welcome. The Willow is a safe child friendly cafe, offering a free lollipop to every child, at the end of their meals of course! The 5* rating is reassuring. Cleanliness is above exceptional. I highly recommend the Willow Cafe.

This cafe is on the main road into Llanelli round the corner from the train station. Free parking on the road outside. Plenty of tables and a nice atmosphere. Popular with locals and workers. Friendly efficient staff and huge portions. The big breakfast's a must. Also, toasted panini's with chips and salad. They do huge lunches too. Sunday dinners, salads, curry, bolognaise, chilli con carne with rice or chips, chip dinners, burgers, omelettes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Hot and cold drinks. Large choice of fresh cakes and some desserts. Spotless place with a fast service. No wonder it's so popular.

In my never ending quest to find a decent breakfast recently due to the fact my local cafe only a 100 yards or so down the road from here, has gone downhill I think I may have found it.

Pop in here whenever I’m nearby, always a great breakfast, fantastic portion sizes and prompt service, tea is top notch too.

Had a full english breakfast with coffee. Would recommend the willow to anyone and everyone. Food cooked fresh to order. Very polite,friendly and professional staff. Nice clean environment where they go out of there way to ensure you enjoy your visit.

Best breakfast ever we had as a family big portions and great price couldn't finish my plate all cooked perfect deffinetly eat here again.

I have tried most things on the menu from a salad to a to a lamb shank dinner and it is delicious this cafe i highly recomend and its spotlessly clean ...cooked brecky is lush too.. ☕ thanks to all at the willow cafe xxx

As in the title, best breakfast I had for a long time and value for money. I advise everybody to have this experience. Place itself is clean and stuff they do their best to please customers. Thanks all again for lovely food.

i been told to visit willow cafe. and i had a lovely lamb dinner and dessert , and i got coffee latte free. staff was more then help full. boss was very nice too. shop has 5 star sign on the door and yes it was clean ,lovely flowers on the tables . i will recomend this coffee shop to any body.

Stayed in Llanelli for 2 nights to watch the Scarlets. Read the reviews on TA so decided to try it out for breakfast and enjoyed it so much we went back again the next day. Friendly staff, excellent quality, very generous portions and piping hot tea. What more could you want? Oh yes, the loos were clean too! Unsurprisingly a very popular place.

Have eaten here a few times on a Saturday morning. Always a lovely well cooked breakfast which sets you up for the day. Nice and friendly staff.

Great food & great service. Always good hearty portions, you will not leave this place still hungry.

we stayed at the miramar hotel just down the road but didnt want an early breakfast found willow cafe 50 yards down the road excellant breakfast, great value and clean and fresh inside many thanks

Yo estaba trabajando en Llanelli no te saldría y me apetecía desayunar así que fui a la cafetería de Willow y honestamente puedo decir que el desayuno era excepcional relación calidad pedí el full monty y lo tienes todo en él por el precio de 5 libras. 80 y llegó bastante rápido no me sorprende el lugar estaba lleno puede entender por qué ahora sin duda recomendaría el willow para un buen desayuno y si estoy en Llanelli no te saldría de nuevo sin duda volver

When we fancy a breakfast, it's not very often we'll go anywhere except Willow. Always get service with a smile, staff are fantastic with my children, always clean & breakfast is enjoyable while still being cheap.

Two of us Arrived at this cafe by chance looking for lunchtime snack. Ended up having their beef dinner and a chicken dinner. Both were good and plentiful. The service very friendly and quick.

El famoso café de willow, tengo conocen este lugar durante unos 30 años y todavía su difícil a veces. para encontrar un sitio para aparcar. fuimos a este café espacioso, con un personal amable. Pedí un desayuno completo fr el propietario y unos 10 minutos...

Tuvimos una cena para llevar con salsa de carne deliciosa. Buena relación calidad-precio y muy generoso. Realmente lo recomiendo.

Plenty of choice on the menu and very reasonably priced. Room is very spacious and the food was reasonably quick. Would recommend.

We had as a group of 6 had the most wonder full fish and Chips you could wish for .at £2 99 per portion.Value Exceptional.They were in unison on the way the meals were cooked and how hot and tasty they were. If any of you go there to Caernarvon and you want a midday meal that is satisfying this is the place to go.Brill.

A little tight on parking in this area, but the diner was clean, well laid out and had excellent service. Three of us ate and ordered the full monty and not one of us finished of our meals. Very tasty and prices were average with the full monty at 5 pound 20p.

Absolutely love the breakfast here! We try and go at least once a week/fortnight. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a cooked brekky! Staff can't do enough for you. Owner chatty and very friendly. Waiting times fab even when busy never waited more than 10/15 mins. You really can't go wrong just over a 5er for a massive breakfast + tea/coffee. They do the most amazing milky coffee! Keep up the good work guys

I had the basic egg beans and chips here and a cuppa, there are no frills and the food is great and cheap. The cooking can be seen and I like that and it's clean and friendly. It was an in and out visit, well in saying that that's what a wanted but the portions were larger than normal, but I couldn't waste. I would recommend it without a doubt.

This cafe is our favourite breakfast cafe, the food is consistently good and enjoyable. Always a warm greeting from the owner and excellent service. We travel a long way to eat in our special cafe. Thanks guys you do a great job.

As neither my wife nor myself had a Christmas dinner event this year, we decided to pop in to the Willow Cafe and try out their Christmas dinner on a Saturday lunch time. We do enjoy the food in the cafe but we had never had a Christmas meal there.I'm happy to say that it was delicious and piping hot. The turkey was nice, the vegetables were cooked the way I like them, and there was plenty of food, even though I didn't have the largest dinner that they offer.We were surprised how quiet the place was, and the friendly server confirmed that it was unusual and said that everyone must have gone to the shops! What a shame as the food was as good as ever and we enjoyed the experience. A bonus was that the owner was able to spend a little more time chatting to the customers because it was not so busy as usual. I hope that the Willow stays good forever! It's one of my favourite places to eat during the day time in the Swansea and Llanelli areas and I've never had a bad experience there. I just wish it would open in the evening, too.

This place is not only a fab little cafe but the staff are beyond great! Great service and always with a smile regardless of how busy it is! I have recommended this cafe for a few months and everyone who has been there has raved about it! :D honestly the best cafe!

The Willow Cafe, is always busy, great staff very helpful to give you options and service with a smile. The food is great. I have only every tried the breakfast which is always plentiful (sometimes too much) but they offer lots of different kinds of food that is very popular with all ages. The only complaint i have is the sausages are a little too budget for my taste however they are very happy to change them for something different. 5 star hygiene rating which is always a plus. Clean and tidy and the staff although busy always have time to come and throughly clean tables. A lot of big name restaurants could take a leaf out of these peoples books. Parking is limited to road side and sometimes you struggle to get a parking place. If your looking for a BIG (they offer smaller ones too) hearty breakfast then call in, i haven't been disappointed.

Always plenty to eat and good choices. Staff helpful and friendly. Only comment is that I prefer better sausages,but you can have something swapped,which is good.

i was driving down station road when through the railway gates i could see the willow cafe,feeling hungry in i went, i sat down and was served by a very happy lady, who brought me a very nice lunch., the price was good as well.

We decided to try out a couple of the specials at the Willow Cafe as a change from our usual cooked breakfasts or roast dinners. My wife opted for a Thai curry - Chicken Massaman, which she thought was fantastic. I had to try it, too, and I thought it was delicious, quite sweet, not at all fiery, and full of lovely flavours. We both thought that the boiled rice that accompanied the dish was well cooked.I went for the 'ordinary' chicken curry, which i thought was very tasty indeed. Again, I didn't find it too hot, but it had a bit more of bite thanthe Massaman. I went for chips with mine, but you can also choose half rice and half chips if you prefer.As always, we thought the meal was excellent value, the service quick, and the staff lovely, but at the end of the day, this is a cafe not fine dining, so don't expect too much!

Picked this place from previous references as somewhere for brekkie on the last day of our stay in Llanelli.. I am pleased to say I got it spot on!Excellent food, smart tidy cafe, friendly staff.. Set us all up nicely for the journey home. The portions were generous and well presented - no grease in sight.. Recommend to anyone... Unless you are on the run from the law - because it is clearly popular with the local Constabulary!!!

Willow is my breakfast of choice, never a bad meal and they go out of their way to make something my fussy 3 year old fancies to eat, and always get surprised at the price! Super friendly, can't fault them really

I usually come here as you get value for money, and I love their fried potatoes.. I also like the fact you can Tailor the breakfast to what you want.I hate hash browns as a rule but the willows hash browns are lush!. Staff are very friendly and they do a lovely creamy coffee.You can get a large breakfast with all the trimmings and a tea or coffee for a fiver! You can't beat that.. Khan will also rustle you up some fried bread if you ask.. Yum yum ... I better stop now as I'm making myself hungry.

Walked in, was greeted at the door with a friendly "Hello". Sat down and a young male waiter came and gave me a paper and took my order for a coffee. After deciding what I wanted I went up and ordered food with the same waiter. Food was served within 10-15 minutes and I cleared the plate within the same time. Sausages, bacon, egg, hash browns, fried potatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, toast and beans all cooked fantastically well. Will definitely be going there again and again due to the owner and his staff being so very kind. It's a big 5 star from me! ⭐️

Went with the hubby and kids as I wasn't in the mood to cook a dinner but really want to eat one! I was surprised with how lovely and fresh to food was, proper fresh veg and plenty of meat too! Will definitely be going back! Kids and hubby had beef and I had lamb have to say it was better than my home made dinner, no horrible frozen veg which I've had in other local restaurants. Staff are lovely too, so keep up the good work guys!!

If a café is frequented by builders and the local plod you know you're on a winner. Range of breakfasts from the sublime Full Monty at a very reasonable £5 to the ridiculously enormous £7 version which would choke a donkey. Also available is an interesting American version which includes frankfurters, burgers and pancakes! Yikes! Coffee choices available but I had a lovely steaming hot proper mug of tea for about £1. Friendly staff, clean tables with the obligatory single carnation in a vase and a few newspapers to keep you occupied during the short wait for your food. It may not have any Michelin stars but on the breakfast score chart it definitely rates 4 bangers out of five!

What you'd expect from a 'greasy spoon' really. Varying size fry ups with other things such as full dinners, omelettes, sandwiches on the menu. Gourmet food it isn't, but good tasting is. Never a problem to swap items on breakfast for something you'd prefer. Normally very busy and sometimes get the odd customer in

We went to The Willow for breakfast on a midweek morning. We were surprised to see how quiet it was, as on our other visits the cafe has been almost full.Both myself and my colleague ordered large breakfasts, which included egg, bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, sausage, tomatoes, beans, hash browns or fried potatoes, toast and tea or coffee. There was no problem with me having an extra egg instead of the black pudding, which I was very pleased about as I'm not keen on black pudding at all.My tea was boiling hot on arrival and nice and strong. Our breakfasts soon arrived on massive plates and was full to the brim with food. My eggs were perfectly cooked just the way I like them with a nice runny yolk. My mushrooms were tinned, but the sausage and bacon were of good quality and the latter was nice and thick.I had opted for the hash browns and I had three of them, which was too much for me and I couldn't eat one of them. I was well and truly full up by the end of my breakfast, and I thought it was excellent value at £5. Whatever the reason for the empty cafe, I don't think it's got much to do with the quantity or the quality of the breakfasts. In summary, I felt that The Willow was up to the high standards I had experienced previously, and I have no reason not to go back in the future.

The food here used to be very good, but went there today for lunch and what a disappointment, had a beef dinner- beef inedible (too tough), cabbage had been cooked to within an inch of its life, swede cold, roast potatoes reheated, Yorkshire pudding soggy, gravy obviously made with granules and lumpy mashed potato. I noticed how empty the place was and now can see why. We only went there because the better café around the corner was full- we know why.

This place is a credit to kaghan and his staff. Tables are always clean, service is always quick with a smile, and the food is always served hot without delay.Portions are huge and the breakfast ingredients are of a high quality.This is a regular haunt for a sneaky breakfast when the wife is busy elsewhere.

we often go here as a treat i will admit we only have breakfast but so does everyone else it seems. the food is fairly priced, large portions, not long from ordering to being served and the girls that work there are great.it may look like a greasy spoon from outside but it is very clean inside and the chef looks presentable and its so very popular. if you want a good honest rib sticking fry up at an affordable price then willow is your place, and they do a lovely veggie breakfast too, keep up the good work.

Never had a bad meal, plate is always full of tasty food and I nealry always manage to eat the lot :)The staff are always helpful, happy anf polite and the owner is too.If you want a good honest breakfast at an excellent price, this is the place to visit.

If you buy an extra large beef dinner for £7.50 from the willow cafe ,you get such a generous helping of meat and veg you could split it into two meals,delicious beef the only draw back is,they use granulated gravy.the lemon meringue is delicious too all home made.well worth the money.I always have a takeout ,spacious seating area ,allright if you dont mind a lot of workmen eating in the near vacinity.

The Willow Cafe is close to the railway station in Llanelli, and is a traditional cafe with a Mediterranean feel thanks to its Cypriot owner. There is plenty of traditional cafe fare on offer, from English breakfasts to roast dinners. The bacon sandwiches are excellent. All the food is freshly cooked and is very reasonably priced. There are special offers during the week, such as free tea and coffee when you purchase a dinner.My only complaint would be that I prefer thicker toast! Otherwise, The Willow is very good indeed.

Fantastic high quality breakfast at reasonable prices. The all day breakfasts are incredible. Can get very busy around lunchtime, but if you enjoy a British breakfast then this is a must visit!
