Very busy excellent food cavery great and taste

What a fabulous find. So much variety with the Sunday Carvery

Food was fantastic, really tasty. Server was friendly and attentive. Music wasn’t too loud which is a big plus from me. Really enjoyable experience. Thanks.

I used to love The Bridge, but on 20th February 2025, at 5pm (Manager check CCTV) we had a terrible experience. Firstly, the man cutting the meat gave me two tiny pathetic bits of ham. And they were mostly fat, which you can see in the photo. We chose a seat away from the noise, and because we're both Autistic, I specifically asked for no checks or disturbances, in the nicest way possible, while ordering out drinks. My partner asked for "Pepsi with Sugar", and as a diabetic, I asked for "Pepsi Max" (Max is Zero sugar). However, they served me a full sugar Pepsi, I could taste it. I know Pepsi Max very well. Believe me when you've been drinking only sugar free for 19 years, the glucose taste hits you pretty hard. Additionally, I could see my glucose meter sugar levels rising rapidly, which is a clear sign. Despite asking for "no checks or disturbances" one of the women invaded my personal space by reaching around behind me to turn a light on. Now I could taste her perfume and long shift body odour. A gentleman asked us if everything was ok, which is the very interruption we had asked not to have. Default response "yes fine thanks", explaining the problems then and there would have been a form of confrontation which I can't cope with; I'd have a panic attack. Then another woman came over to ask if everything was ok, and now I'm starting to get upset.... I said "fine thanks", then she said "I'm just going to put some lights on". To which I replied, "actually we're really enjoying the atmosphere the way it is". She ignored me and continued to walk around us, putting the lights on. There were no other customers to benefit from these little side lamps. We just don't understand why people have gone out of their way to make our visit a bad one.... I wasn't rude when I asked for no disturbances, I explained that my partner and I are on the spectrum. We don't want any extra treatment, we're just ok with being left alone. My partner couldn't finish her food because she felt there was something off with it, and she was upset we'd been treated this way, despite being super polite. ...my opinion on the food: the Yorkshire puddings were like biscuits, I couldn't cut them at all. The Ham was tiny, and literally 50% fat. The beef was overcooked and tough. The gravy trains were missing, and we don't like to go up twice. The carrots were not sliced, they were thick 1 inch chunks, which was unexpected and unusual. And if that wasn't bad enough, the next morning, and throughout the day, we both were very unwell. I had vomiting, and my partner had vomit and diarrhoea. We hadn't eaten anything else out of the ordinary, so all things considered, it was probably the carvery that did that to us.

Fabulous selection of really tasty food. Offers a set menu and carvery, both menus delicious. Fantastic, attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to eat, had the carvery, beautiful meat and plenty of it, Food was very nice, only bad points Mash was very lumpy and veg not my choice, only had carrots as i dont like sprouts and peas and parsnips but suppose everyones different, Would i go again? Yes definately, Service was brilliant, no waiting to be seen, served straight away, Lovely atmosphere, And a great price, Never been before but will definately be back

Beautiful food, inventive menu and well cooked

We celebrated my sons 30th birthday there today, the staff are absolutely fantastic,they go above and beyond for you. Food was absolutely outstanding, would highly recommend The Bridge ❤️

Good pub food and a busy vibe, so definitely somewhere to return to.... Fish was fresh and tasted good but could have been bigger and whilst service was generally good, a few moments of inattentiveness let it down on this occasion.

A great lunch yet again will definitely be back 😋

We recently held a funeral tea at the Bridge and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment we made the initial arrangements, the staff were compassionate, professional, and attentive to every detail. The food was outstanding, with a selection of sandwiches, savoury bites, and cakes that were beautifully presented and delicious. Guests commented on the quality of the food, and the endless supply of tea and coffee was much appreciated. I didn’t get the name of our dedicated server but a special thanks to him for his compassion and excellent service, making a difficult day much easier. Thank you again to everyone at The Bridge.

We called in for lunch as we were passing. I had the stuffed chicken fillet with leek mashed potatoes ,which was lovely and my husband had the carvery, which was also great. However after we left we looked at our receipt and could see that we had been charged the Sunday carvery price and not the weekday one. It was £1 difference, but if that was done to every customer,(the place was packed), then they are making quite a profit. I emailed them in relation to this but had no response.

My wife and I for lunch on New Year's Eve. The food was delicious and the staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. Thankyou.

This was our first visit to The Bridge, and we were impressed with the delicious food and the warm, friendly staff. The venue was busy during our visit, and parking was limited with only a few tight spaces available. Unfortunately, the location is not very accommodating for prams and wheelchairs, and we hope improvements can be made to address this.

As usual, the Bridge doesn't disappoint. Lovely food and good choice of Vegan options. Staff are always welcoming and helpful.

The team at The Bridge were able to accommodate our extended family of 11 people at extremely short notice for our annual Xmas get together. The food (as always) was delicious and the welcome and service was 5 star. Spotlessly clean and a great atmosphere. Many thanks to the staff for accommodating us.

Just got back from the Bridge, where we had a wonderful Birthday meal for my dad. ABSOLUTELY 1ST RATE on food which was delicious! Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection - pink and moist, all the sides were just as good and my partners burger was succulent and tasty, dad opted for the scampi which was really tender and juicy. They even put a birthday candle in dad’s dessert and sang Happy Birthday to him! What a brilliant night we had. Definitely going back and soon!

Myself and my husband visited The Bridge Llangennech today for Sunday Carvery and Dessert. Food was amazing along with drinks. The staff were so lovely and welcoming from the time we arrived to the time we left. Well worth the travel for food. Would highly recommend to family and friends. A lovely setting and super clean right through and super posh toilets too. Best we been too.

Perfectly positioned , greeting was first class , staff excellent , menu great , food first class , piping hot and very tasty , prices good

I went here for my evening meal whilst I was working in Wales. The food was home cooked and really nice. The thing that made the difference for me was the gentleman who looked after me while I was there. It was greatly appreciated, especially when dining alone all week. Thank you!

Went with a reservation party of ten. Staff super attentive. I've heard a lot of hype about the Bridge, tbh, my food was average, but nicely presented. Wife had the steak, said it was the best she's ever had... But at £32, yeah it needed to be!

Based on the website information I was expecting a choice of four meats rather than just three. The pork was extremely salty, more like gammon. Some vegetables were seriously overcooked while others were seriously undercooked. Queueing for the carvery was a bit of a squeeze and not managed at all. I didn't feel the experience was worth paying the little bit extra compared to other restaurants in the area. We were very pushed for time otherwise I would have commented. Table service was excellent and efficient.

Went to the Bridge yesterday for my grandson's birthday. Lovely clean and welcoming. Nice to sit in the bottom bar area. We all had the carvery which everyone thoroughly enjoyed, though personally it would be nice if the vegetarian options were a bit better value, perhaps quorn roast or quorn sausages. The staff were all great but the gentleman who came on later was exceptional, made my grandson's birthday special so thank you all.

I can't stop doing a review for this place! Food ,drinks,atmosphere all is perfect! You have to try you won't be disappointed! My fav place in wales ... we live in Bath and we visit every time . Service is on point and food is amazing .

Very nice food excellent service and a reasonable price

This venue is welcoming and friendly. It serves a Carvery and a comprehensive menu, all of which are delicious and well cooked. The carvery itself serves two options an adult and a child. Having small appetites we opt for the child serving. The plates serving these options are “huge” or “baby” (tea plate). The small plate being, in my opinion for a baby. There is no room on it to eat as an adult would eat, exceptionally constricted. And rather messy. I think smaller dinner plates, which are available, would be a sensible option for the more delicate appetites with perhaps less choice of meats, say one slice of your choice. It is wasteful to serve a huge plate and food be wasted however a medium plate with say one choice of meat would solve the matter of costing. As vegetables are highly desirable. I for example would forego the meat however I would not like a huge plate. That would be too much food and cost to me for vegetables.

Lovely pub and great service from James & Aimee Visited for a carvery on a Monday which was a treat and very welcoming atmosphere Will most certainly be back!

Brilliant place for food and serviceonly thing that lets it down is that the floor is always a bit slippery, hold your plates tight !

We had the carvery which was delicious. We booked for a Wednesday at 6 pm and it was busy. Great idea that you can have a takeaway 👍🏻

The carvery is always fantastic with a great selection of vegetables. The service is always first-rate.

I had fish & chips which was very disappointing a frozen triangle piece of fish a slice of lemon with a basket of dryed up chips

Visited this place several times and the staff are so welcoming and the food is absolutely stunning. They know how to cook a delicious mouth watering steak and their Sunday carvery is just melts in your mouth. It’s amazing

Lovely birthday meal , always nice food with a good atmosphere. The carvery is amazing every time and the desserts never disappoint, I will say the drinks are a little expensive but the staff work hard and the setting is right! Will be back!

First time going to the bridge last week.with a party of 20 people for an 18th birthday party.and oh my god best place I've been to in a very long time.everything was amazing from the food friendly staff and atmosphere.just went back there today with my partner and was blown away with the food and staff plus they had a singer there aswell.cant recommend this place enough definitely best place around.as Arnold says i be back.

An outstanding local pub restaurant. Exceptional service by all the staff and owner and outstanding pub food to go with it. Top of the list are the lamb chops, best I have ever had. Booking is recommended as it is busy every day. We went three times in a week to check the beer and food were up to standard..

Clwbgwili 60+Club Bronwydd Carmarthen had a meal tonight on the way home after a full day out.There was 36 members present.I cannot praise the staff enough for a fantastic meal. Very well organised for a party of the 30. The waiters communicated very well to ensure everyone's meals were correct and delivered to the tables in an orderly fashion. Not one complaint from any of the party for the standard of their food which says a lot! Everyone really enjoyed. Well done to the staff of The Bridge

Stopped for evening meal on way home from coastal path with our 2 dogs had lovely meal, sat in beer garden made to feel extremely welcome and the dogs by Alex and Nick excellent

Me and my partner dined in at The Bridge and were not disappointed. The service provided to us was reassuring for our first day in wales, and the food was amazing for the price! Everyone was kind and welcoming. Would definitely come back again if ever in wales!

Excellent all round atmosphere, food, staff and premises, we were a family party everyone enjoyed their choice of meal the belly pork was exceptional. Staff are friendly and efficient I would recommend to anyone to try this place.

Friendly Staff, average pub grub . Would personally prefer to pay more for decent cuts of meat, the mixed grill was disappointing due to the quality of the meat served, the steak and sausages were very gristly and every chip and a bruise or eye. Nicely decorated but could do with buying in better quality produce.

Food is amazing been going here since the 90s and honestly year after year it gets better lovely staff and delicious food booking I'd recommend as usually quite full with the carvery 😋

Everything is excellent but food prices are very high so can only afford to come on special occasions.

Booker The Bridge last minute on a Saturday and they had availability. I had the Teriyaki Salmon with prawn rice which was absolutely delicious and filling! My friend had the seabass in romesco sauce and also said it was delicious. We had salted caramel profiteroles for dessert which was scrumptious! Carpark to the side/rear of the restaurant, plenty of spaces available. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Will be returning 😊

Unfortunately it feels like the attention to detail is starting to slip. Have had nice meals here previously but tonight was disappointing. Gyozas to start were soggy, then the main which is desribed as a chicken breast wrapped in bacon and smothered in pepper sauce was merely a flattened chicken breast, sliced in half with a bacon slice on top. For a £17 main, you would expect more... nobody even bothered to ask if everything was OK when paying. Very complacent.

The meal was delicious and a very friendly and kind waitress. I was wary of ordering the sea bass, but explained exactly how it would be served, and it was lush. 😆

My family and I travelled from Portsmouth to Llanelli for a surprise family birthday meal. Upon arrival the venue wasn’t open, however, the staff were setting up and asked us if we were okay. Explaining our trip up, they were extremely accommodating and let us in early to use the toilet facilities and sort our twin babies out before they opened. The first thing we noticed, apart from the friendly staff, was how clean and tidy the venue was. The toilets were lovely, smelled clean and well kept. The outside seating was organised and well kept, and inside the venue/conservatory area, it was lovely and clean. Once we were sorted, they invited us in for a seat and a drink while we waited. They were incredibly friendly and polite. They moved a few bits around to allow us to fit our double buggy and even a pop up play pen for the babies, after a long drive they just wanted to stretch their legs! Whilst ordering food one of the items we ordered wasn’t available, but it was no bother as the menu had a lot of great food on. Ordered something else and, Nikki couldnt have been more attentive. He went above and beyond to apologise for the initial item being on the menu and doubled up on the food I’d ordered. The food was fantastic, the portion sizes were incredible, to the point where most of us couldn’t finish our plates! Which is saying something for a lot of us! And all for a really reasonable price. Will absolutely return to this venue when we next visit! Thank you so much to all the staff for a lovely visit :)

Had exceptional service from the carvery server today (02/06/24) at around 16.30pm, for our take away. He had a slight accent, possibly polish, and a skinhead, was going above and beyond, made us feel welcome and even cling filmed our plates for us. Unfortunately some other member of staff (possibly a manager/owner), shouted across at him infront of everyone that he shouldn't be serving us on our own plates and made a right scene. Bare in mind we had already fully filled the plates by this point, and when we phoned to ask about a take away, the person on the phone told us to bring plates, and when we ordered and paid before plating up, the person at the bar could see us holding our own plates and didnt say otherwise. So to the manager who shouted at the server he shouldn't be serving us on our own plates, loud enough for everyone in the room to hear, learn some self control and find out what the rest of your staff are telling people they can do before raising your voice at the guy giving us phenomenal service, you stupid little fool. 5/5 for the servers service 1/5 for the other fools bad manners.

Excellent midweek carvery. Could not fault it.
