The best restaurants serving British food in South Wales

My partner was so impressed by the pub that he started his own YouTube channel in the pub giving a review lol. Lovely little Welsh pub, friendly locals, great ale.

Lovely friendly staff but Halloween disco was huge disappointment. Lots of empty seats but we were told by people we were not allowed to sit in any because they were 'saved' and my son was told to get out of a seat. Not a friendly atmosphere. Such a shame. We left after 10 mins. Maybe better seating arrangements in future?

Had an amazing meal out here - not only a really good curry, but the service was great too. We had the garlic & chili chicken & lamb curries, with the butter naan, pilau rice and masala chips as sides. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality of food, we'll definitely be coming back

5 pounds for a refill of coffee (surprise!) also did not bring what i ordered

We came here originally when it first opened. The bar was cool with interesting beers and wines and excellent inventive food. This appears to have changed. Has the place changed hands? Very disappointing wouldn’t recommend.

Called in on a Friday afternoon for a drink. The San Miguel was the most expensive I have experienced in Swansea at £5.50 a pint. Groups of males at the bar were swearing loudly and not challenged by staff even though there were female customers present. Not a good experience. Won’t be back !

Very welcoming for family on a Sunday lunchtime, high chairs available. Best Yorkshire puddings I’ve seen in a long time! Staff were very kind, and service was quick. Pub was very clean.

My local pub and they have recently started doing really good BBQ food, prepared by Dave, late of the Smokehouse (@SMOKEYDAVE24) who prepares everything from scratch on site. I had the Pork Belly Ribs and have to say that they were absolutely amazing, tender and packed with flavour. Going to have Brisket next, which my friend said was the best he's had. Great pub, with lovely staff, friendly welcome and now top BBQ to complement their lovely Sunday lunches and Summer Pizza out of the wood-fired oven in the beer garden. Give it a try!

Discovered this place when let down elsewhere for sunday lunch what a find , stunning sunday roast , loads of home cooked veg and gravy and the prices were excellent … definitely be back 👍🏼

Fabulous village pub. The service is fantastic and the food is exceptional! Always have really interesting specials. Love visiting here!

Great pub lovely meal last night, have eaten at the Woodlands Tavern several times and the food / hospitality is always first class. Big thumbs 👍 up and three four stars !

Ordered a full English pretty empty waited 20 minutes or so food came out warm no toast wouldn't recommend a full English breakfast there
