Very nice place. Downstairs is more basic and upstairs more comfortable. Coffee is good and the brownies are suitably gooey.

It was OK Cozy place good coffee I had pumpkin spice latte , the flavor wasn't that rich ,, didn't meet my expectations

Vegan sausage bap and a mocha- absolutely lush!!!

I wasn't able to connect to the wifi but other than that the café has a good atmosphere, great spot for working (usually the wifi works)

Started coming here as a student, although I graduated a couple of years ago I still come here when I'm in Cardiff. Great toasted paninis, but make sure you come before 1pm or you'll miss out 😂 My favourite is the Italian chicken one, and the earl grey tea.

If you are a student in Cardiff, it is likely that this is the closest cafe to you. The upstairs area is nice, and the coffees are good.

I love visiting this cafe. The staff are always friendly and efficient, however long the queue. The coffee is delicious and I recommend any of the sandwiches for lunch. I work nearby and always look forward to a visit.

Pretty much kept my alive in the first year of uni. A MUST if you're a student.

Dropped in to escape the rain and pleasantly surprised, great coffee and warm snack whilst drying off. Seating area upstairs nice homely area to relax in and take your time over a drink , no busy body trying to evict u. Before setting off into the rain again got a coffee to go and again great taste smooth and flavour right balance. Staff were great friendly polite no attitude even when I first went in dripping wet along with the hoard of people behind me.

I often pop in here for a coffee, which is consistently good. Friendly staff and the service is always good even when busy.

Convenient with a small food selection, and nice couches upstairs. Small outside seating and smoking area.

Good but the guy with dreadlocks is more strict about what counts as a breakfast deal than the rest of the staff.

Coffee: great. Staff: Brill. Atmosphere: lovely. Use of plastic: basically the only downside. Didn't bring my reusable cup as we were sitting in, but our ice lattes came in single use plastic cups with a straw before I'd realised, otherwise I would have asked for no straw at least. I'll still be going again, but will try to remember my reusable cup next time

Nice friendly staff, great drink selection (particularly tea & hot chocolates) & nice pastry/cake selection too. Stayed almost all-day on a miserable day in Cardiff and enjoyed it. In-house wifi is a bit dodgy at times but mostly stable.

The service is terrible. Was waiting in the queue last time when the lady did not attend me when she was free. On top of that i had an exam in about 10 mins. She just ignored me.so did i by keeping the bottle of water back. Even their food are terrible. Thanks, but no thanks, i would rather die out of hunger ☺

I heard someone complaining whilst waiting to be served. I was shocked to see how the staff member dealt with the complaint in a poor manner and was not very understanding.

Good vibe but staff rude. Weak medium Americano even with two shots. Complained as was told that I'm "insulting the coffee" they use and that I can pay for an extra shot if I wanted. No apology, no chance of a refund, only a sarcastic smile. Pathetic service.

The staff is very friendly! The coffee and food are great as well. Definitely recommended for uni students!

Located close to the Cardiff University library, you can have good range of coffees, teas, and some ready sandwiches. The prices are reasonable and the quality is acceptable.

Coffee is a little expensive and it's always full of students so sometimes difficult to get a seat.

Definately prefer an independent cafe and this one didn't disappoint. Both the cappuccino and the spicy cinnamon latte were wonderful and the muffins delicious. Can't wait to go back!

4.30pm Mint Latte ☕ Walk by this Cafe on my way to Welsh Class so I thought I would pop in as I have wanted to try for a little while and it was quiet at 4.30pm which is what I like 👧 Cosy and simple decor Cafe , service was ok to friendly and Mint Latte small mug with soy milk is £2.70 , drink was decent yet not amazing! The syrups they use are Vegan friendly 😉 , it seems to be a usual brand of syrup which is available at most Cafe's! I'm not in a hurry to go back yet for a basic drink with a nice price tag it's worth a shot ☕

I love coffee and it's my favourite place to get it from. Welcoming staff, freshly ground coffee, yummy food and having loyalty cards is a blast! This place is always full of nice people to have a chat with.

I've been in here twice now - once they gave me a meat sausage sandwich instead of a vegetarian one, and once was this afternoon at 4:40 when I was rudely told they were closed even though they had advertised they were open until 5pm. Would recommend people stay away from this place.

Great place for coffee and cake

Amazing cappuccino and latte! Their sandwiches are amazingly fresh and their ingredients are of very good quality. Staff is super friendly! Try the first floor! Very cozy and super sunny as it has many big windows! Prices a bit high for a local cafe but definitely worth a visit!

Popped in on passing and was not disappointed. Picked up a good value breakfast deal 1 small coffee and breakfast bap for £3. Although £1 more expensive than say Gregg's your not paying to a chain. The coffee is great and you feel that you have a decent caffeine buzz unlike Starbucks or Costa where I usually have to order an extra shot. Well worth a visit.

Popped in here to top up my coffee levels before a long day in a conference. Very well made flat white. Good roast on the beans. Not too bitter. Much better than the surrounding big chains. Will pop back if I'm in the area.

Great for grabbing a coffee in between lectures. Not just a student place though, they offer food made fresh every day. Nice independent place to eat and drink.

Unlike chain cafes you pay under £3 for any coffee, can enjoy a meal deal that includes a hot sandwich (never come across this before) and convenient for grabbing a coffee on my way to a lecture or the library, a little bit of luxury during times of need!!

Really great independent coffee shop (with more seating upstairs). Frequently go here during exam season while working in the university library next door. The Coffee is reasonable and varied in range and the panini's are also great.

Was fed up of going to the chain coffee shop beginning with "C" when working at the uni, so was refreshing to go to this little space nearby with a small outside space. Good coffee and nice sandwiches and a great name!

Now this one is very neatly placed for students of Cardiff Uni to have their daily dosage of caffeine shots. Not a massive place, but great to to have a cup or two with friends or books.

A quaint little coffee shop with a great atmosphere. I often sit in with a Flat White and catch up on my work. It's quiet, the staff are super friendly and the Red Velvet Cheesecake is a must try! Highly recommend this coffee shop!

Hoffi Coffi is great, the staff are awesome and friendly and the panini's are great. So ideal being so close to the library, but its also great for non-students as well. Definitely recommend it as a place to revise as it has a lovely calm atmosphere. Probably the best coffee shop in Cardiff!

Hoffi Coffi is conveniently located near Cardiff University, so I enjoy stopping here after class. The hot chocolate was very good, but I haven't tried any of the food yet. I wish they had a slightly larger selection of pastries.

A well-frequented cafe for Cardiff students and staff, alike. It has some decent espresso, roasted in Bristol. The major downsides are the over-priced food items, the poor food hygiene rating and the staff. On numerous occasions the staff have been rude, and condescending.
