Great service, I recommend this place 👌🏻.

I love this place, it’s a lovely relaxed place. You go up to the counter to order which is not far from any table. Prices are really good, Cheaper than many places and the food is brilliant! So tasty and nice. The portion sizes are just right to give you a good fill. I also love the little heart garnish they do on the plates, it’s really cute. Breakfasts are banging, and the lunch type things such as paninis and wraps are so nice. Drinks are typically priced and are really delicious too and you get a biscoff biscuit with each hot one I’ve had so far, that’s been with a tea and a hot chocolate so can’t imagine they won’t do it with your coffees too. I love this place and really hope you check them out too!

Meh. Expensive price for mediocre food. Service was OK, but not particularly friendly. The breakfast was basic, nothing special at all. First and last visit.

Food was average, portions were very small. What mostly annoyed me is that the waiter spilled some salad on my jeans while he was serving the plate and didn’t even apologize. I left the place still hungry with my jeans stained, couldn’t get it out with soap and water.

Visited 2pm on a Sunday. Fairly busy. Service excellent. Very attentive. Food arrived promptly and well presented. All day breakfast and poached egg avo. Flat white coffee, really good. Bill about £23 for us both.

Great place for a clean, decent breakfast. A little pricey for £10 but the food is cooked hot, fresh and fast with good quality ingredients. Just to note no black pudding option, tea/coffee not included and no substitutions.

The greatest breakfast in Cardiff - no exaggeration!! While studying in Cardiff I found this place from a Wales Online article naming it the #1 breakfast spot in Cardiff - they weren't lying. I took every family member & friend who visited me to this place to marvel at its greatness. Not just in how the food tastes, but the hospitality of every member of staff is impeccable. They really do make you feel welcome! The Bentleys Breakfast is phenomenal, and such a reasonable price. Their smoothies are amazing too, I'd try a different flavour every time I went in and still would never know which is my favourite! I would sometimes get one to go on my way to uni too as I couldn't resist!! I highly recommend choosing here as your go to breakfast spot!

Was working in local area and stopped in here for a breakfast, really impressed! Quality full English breakfast, cooked perfectly all round with the proper sides, mushrooms were crispy but soft but seasoned, crispy hashbrowns, quality bacon and sausages. Eggs were perfect and runny great to dip that nice buttery toast in too! Overall a good solid breakfast, not your typical greasy spoon gaff, it’s looked after more with a lot more care on service and good quality! But with that it comes in a little bit more pricey but worth it and still around that £10 mark. Score this a solid 8/10! As good as breakfasts come really.

Prices have increased quite a bit, the food quality has dipped considerably. Had the sausage egg and chips, the chips were just cremated oven chips, sausages were definitely cooked and the eggs were solid (no dipping allowed). The milkshake made with ice cream was warm and tastes like banana but wasn’t great at all for the price paid. The smoothie was just watered down flavour. Very disappointing, next time will go to Toby carvery for a cheaper better breakfast. Do not recommend unfortunately.

We went for brunch. Had a fabulous full English breakfast. Everything was top quality - food and service. Reasonably priced too!

Today, I had one of the best paninis that I have ever had. It was toasted really well, not too crispy with a generous filling of ham and mozzarella cheese. The accompanying salad was delicious with a mixture of many varieties of salad vegetables. Altogether a really satisfying lunch.

A very good variety of breakfast, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Excellent coffee; the cortado just as I like it. Always a nice display of cakes too. The staff are professional and friendly. Bentley's is a busy café, so the best times, for me personally, are between breakfast and lunch, and mid afternoon. I am happy to recommend Bentley's.

We had breakfast at Bentley's café during our stay in Cardiff. Impeccable service, very attentive servers. The plates are generous and everything is very good. We recommend this address.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! It’s a lovely place, with friendly staff, and it’s not too expensive either! Their food and drink options are quality and fantastic. Always feel looked after everytime I come in

Really nice little cafe, not too busy on a Sunday afternoon and service was friendly without the, "hey guys everything okay?" every 20 minutes. I had a wrap and chose the side salad over chips, the dressing in the side salad was really tasty and my wrap was properly full. Peach ice tea tasted like a proper peach tea rather than a peach syrup concoction. Good selection of drinks in the fridge (was excited to see glass bottles of pop!) as well as hot drinks and smoothies on offer. My friend and I shared a slice of pistachio cake after and that was really tasty, too. Keen to come back and try a breakfast ☺️

Had a great first experience at Bentley's Cafe. I ordered a set breakfast and a latte, the breakfast was one of the best I've had in Cardiff, bacon was done well to my liking and overall not an oily/greasy breakfast that some cafes tend to serve up. The latte was nice and presented well. They have a great menu, with lots of different food choices for breakfast and lunch/early dinner. Also they had a great choice of cold drinks, smoothies and milkshakes. We visited on a Saturday morning before it became busy and the cafe was well staffed and the service was great. We can certainly see why it is a popular cafe, and it will be our go to from now on for a nice breakfast.

Nice breakfast, prompt service but a little pricey

Great breakfast and very polite staff this is a regular breakfast spot for me and a few friends and it never disappoints.

Kids were desperate to go out for breakfast - I suspect one of their cartoon favourites had done the same - so took them to Bentleys! No kids options beyond the usual "chips and XXXXX" which was a bit disappointing but they were happy for us to split an adult breakfast between them. We all enjoyed the breakfast and the eggs were cooked to perfection but if I was going to be picky, better quality sausages would have been nice. Coffee was scalding hot which means it stays warm during the meal, but probably needs to have the milk steamed slightly less to get the best out of it.

Was encouraged to enter by a satisfied customer who simply uttered "do it" as she was leaving. How could I ignore such a clear endorsement? Quick and friendly service, topped off by a cracking Set Breakfast.

We walked 20 minutes here from Mercure hotel in Cardiff, it is a very welcoming cafe. You are seated professionally like a restaurant, the service was excellent. Modern decor with a traditional twist. The menu size was perfect with good options. Only minor downside maybe the plates were too big but it looked like they were trying fill the plate and so spread the food out. The food quality was good, very tasty. The prices are slightly higher than elsewhere. The smoothies were amazing !! Will definitely come back.

Worth the 10 minute wait for a table, I am a glass half full kinda guy.....however from coming to going a great experience. 👍 now a favourite in my maps app.

Fairly overpriced for the quality of ingredients. Despite the speed of it coming to my table, half of it was cold and portion sizes were quite small. Eggs overcooked. And for some reason they feel the need to put everything in separate little bowls on the plate.. Very average coffee. Friendly staff Will not go again unfortunately

This a cracking little local independent cafe. I happened across it by happy accident on a Sunday afternoon and am very pleased to have done so. The portions and ingredient proportions are generous and delicious - I had eaten the cheese on toast before it dawned on me to do a photo and review. Very friendly as well - I will return and would recommend. It’s also open longer hours and more days than many of the other Wellfield Road options.

I don’t normally leave reviews but after our bad experience today I was so annoyed I had to say something. So we are fairly regular customers having discovered Bentleys a couple of months ago, and even took some friends who were visiting recently when we all fancied a breakfast. I popped in this afternoon with my husband, and as usual we both tried to order breakfast, with a couple of tweaks. My husband has digestive problems and things like tomatoes and toast trigger that. Also, I dislike sausages, so as usual we intended to swap these things as we have done before with no problem. Indeed we have seen other customers do exactly the same on a number of occasions. Well my husband went to the counter and that’s when things went downhill. Normally the staff are smiley and accommodating, but today he was met by a dark haired young lady who looked like there was a bad smell under her nose and she was somehow doing us a favour. On asking, as usual, to swap these items she looked really annoyed, huffed and puffed, said she couldn’t, but then sort of relented when my husband pushed it. But, horror of horrors, he dared to ask to swap the toast or tomato for an egg! She said we couldn’t, and when he explained he had done this many times before, she stated the egg costs more than the toast or tomato! But here’s the thing, we have always been told the swaps are meat for meat and non meat for non meat. My husband would happily have paid a bit extra but her attitude was so bad we walked out. Look here’s the thing, a business has every right to decide how it sells its products, and if the clear policy was no swapping, then fair enough. But the problem here was this person’s horrible attitude and the we never previously had any problems swapping. Yes this is a first world problem for sure, and it’s only a cooked breakfast after all, but the attitude is what got us, and it is so unnecessary because they have now lost two regular customers. We gave three stars as the food is normally good, but this server really needs to jump on the customer service train before it leaves the station! Hey ho.

Lovely food, friendly, helpful service, clean and tidy place. Reasonable too. Hubby always gets a huge brekky and he really enjoys it, but equally, if you only want a coffee, or a small bite, the lovely people who work there are happy to serve you with that too.

Really nice breakfasts and lovely service. Would be nice if there was a halal meat (like a beef sausage) option for breakfasts, as my partner is Muslim and always ends up having to have vegetarian. Other than its really nice

The restaurant and coffee is great! However the waitresses cannot understand either Welsh or English and whatever you ask for is continuously different to what you receive! They are not trained sufficiently! Management needs to understand CUSTOMER NEEDS AND NOT STAFF SHORT CUTS!!! & Attitudes towards customer needs etc. They are letting Bentley s down!

Pretty busy at times and good decor inside. Staff service is nice. We got given a wobbly table which was annoying at times. Ordered the eggs benedict which had flovour and presented well the only shame was one of the eggs were slightly under cooked. Couldn't fault the tasty mocha as well.

Love this place, cheap and cheerful and the interior looks great creating a really nice chilled out vibe! It’s my go to cafe 😊

Sorry but had a really poor experience with breakfast this morning! Service was slow! Food was poor. Mainly due to the poor quality of ingredients. I think it comes down to expectations as usual!
