Fairwater Cafe in Cardiff

We've recently discovered this café near our work for breakfast rolls every so often and it's been a big hit for the staff. Great selection and reasonable prices, quick turnaround and helpful staff.

Good cafe, a good selection of breakfast and other British food, open 7 days a week. They do free tea/coffee with the breakfast and the portion is big, not too keen on the bacon though but it was good, very reasonable price. Very busy too. They have a proper coffee machine.

First time here passed by many times always looks busy.Great fresh food and really quick,defo call in again.

Everything you expect of a Cafe, no expectations, can visit in tracksuits and still fit in. The food is enjoyable, the eggs are always cooked well. The only downside would be they don't take card but they do allow bank transfers so it doesn't lose any points for me but may be inconvenient for someone who doesn't do mobile banking (unless they use cash).

The cafe has chosen suddenly to embrace a conspiracy theory mindset regarding cashless payments and has changed to being cash-only. They still display a sign on the door that they accept all major cashless payment means, and were oblivious that they still had that sign up, adjacent signs about why it's important to use cash. Only inside is there a sign that explicitly says cash payments only. Sad establishment.

Went here for breakfast with my daughter . The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced. Could do with a bit of updating but it was a pleasant place to go.

Lovely girls, so kind and welcoming. Cup of coffee was perfect on a cold day and chilled relaxed atmosphere with lovely locals. Definitely recommend and would come back 🙂

Good food but there is not enough ventilation so the eating area can smokey from the cooking. If this could be sorted out then it would be much better

I normally don’t do reviews I been coming here for a long time and today I was very disappointed we order two English breakfast and as we both don’t like black pudding we asked for a extra egg and beans only on one plate and the other half and half but when it came both had half and half and no extra egg so I went back get it rectified this and it came back with one egg missing and was told it was on the way but it never came there was only five people in the cafe so how can they get it wrong to busy on there phones ?? Won’t be in a hurry to go back

Go there nearly everyday for my breakfast love it. Lovely staff who can cook a clean perfect breakfast.

Food was okay. Ordered before a large family and they had their food first. Waited 30 minutes for food and they nearly forgot the drinks.

Amazing food but need to take shower straight after, they cook in the same room you eat. Hair and clothes always smell with oil

Newspapers to read, I had poached egg on toast. Good helpful service and decent coffee. Nice clean cafe and Very fair prices.

Terrible food, terrible service, went in a boy came out a man.... that's how long the food took to come....

The food is as good as any other cafe. The stars are not for food but for the people. When you go there you're reminded that you live in a community of decent folk.

Had my bag stolen from there this morning and was only staff there so feel very disappointed with them as I’ve used this cafe a lot,you can’t treat your customers like this,will never go there again and will tell everyone I know not to go there to,absolutely disgusting!

One of the best breakfasts ive ever had fresh and hot good banter with the staff made a difference as well. Excellant would recommend to anyone.

A wonderful little cafe with reasonable and good quality food and drinks. It's not cordon bleu but it is nice basic fair.
