Food always delicious and the girls in there are all lovely, really friendly. Perfect for a nice breakfast or sunday lunch.

Thought we'd try again today.. used to use a lot ..don't get me wrong aiways polite ..I just feel the quality isn't there ..black pudding very thin ..the sausages have to be the cheapest of meat you can buy. (Tasteless/mushy inside) . The breakfasts don't come with coffee unlike most other places..so it wacks up the bill ..I'll stay with tuck in as they do free coffee (which is as nice and hotter) . Likely why it's often quiet now .. If you cook cheap food..people notice and won't return. Don't fool the customer. Not personal . I say how I see it. If you call those sausages quality., I'd hate to see your worst. This was a quantum breakfast. 1 x quantum 1x egg on toast 2 x coffees = £21

Lovely clean cafe and friendly people. Best breakfast i have ever had. My daughter had the homemade lasagna which was delicious and my son had the fresh fish in batter with peas and chips he didn't leave a crumb! Reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Walked in and the table we were pointed to sit were dirty, however the woman did clean it quickly with her dirty cloth that she used on the table before. We nearly walked out- wish we had now. What an absolute hole. The food is clearly frozen and tasteless apart from the bacon which seemed to be super salty. The floor was disgusting and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in days and the HP brown sauce is not the original but some cheap brown sauce. Both women staff behind till stuffing their faces with food and didn’t inform us to go over and order. Not going there again ever!

Really Margarine on toast. Disgusting. Not going back there. I know there is a recession. But I would rather pay extra for butter.

Elderly women at the counter doesn't listen! I stated my order twice, she still got it wrong then had attitude when I sent food back, made out it was my fault, poor service, poor food, waste of money.. never again.

As cafés go it was above average for the Canton area of Cardiff. We had the full breakfast. I enjoyed it & the portion was a good size. The food was tasty & well presented on plates that were ample in size. Plus, you can swap what bits you don't like for something else 👍 we liked this. It was nice to not feel crammed in like we do in most other cafés..my long legs didn't feel hemmed in under the table either😁5* All in all I'd prefer to eat my breakfast here just for the last reason I've mentioned. Plus, it is off the main road slightly, so it's much more peaceful.

Food was very good value for money, but ingredients were of very average quality. Big plate full of food, a case of quantity not quality unfortunately.

Nice breakfast. The food is good but it's not all in the breakfast plate that I can have. For instance, I cannot do black pudding. Not being able to substitute black pudding for a slice of bread was not great.

You have to take a seat we didn't know if we could. You order at the till. They take the orders quickly. They didn't tell us we had to take the sugar on a shelf in a corner. They brought the breakfast, but we had to go back to the till to ask for cutlery. The owner was fast and efficient and came to check it was OK. It was very filling. I would have like poached eggs but not offered on the menu. The black pudding was a bit dry but good. Good portion and honest price. I will go back to try the Sunday roast.

This is the BEST, If big breakfast is you thing then THIS is DEFINITELY the place for YOU. And very tasty alternatives, Freindly and pleasant staff.

Today was my last visit unfortunately i do not recommend the service is terrible the women's who work there are terrible bad vibe all the way they stare at you while you eat, food is blunt tasteless they don't put much food on the massive plates they have i paid £8 for a set breakfast and they literally gave me a small breakfast they changed their prices they overcharge people massive rip off i will not be returning again! If this had 0 star that's what I'd be giving them... A BIG NO FROM ME.

Best cafe around. Its not noted enough to cook good food you have to have clean place good staff etc. It has everything . So so welcoming here .marcella the lady who work there always smiling chatty happy efficient non stop cleaning tables straight away yiu won't find dirty tables here they wouldn't have it . Food is great but it's also clean if that makes sense ? Just clean no grease no sloppy looks so quality . Portions okay .coffees hot drinks amazing ..its hard to find a cafe that execlles in every way and it does here can get busy on Sundays and when workmen on break which says everything also do a takeaway service. Young girls who work here always working smiling too. Many cafes in canton but not like this tables got good space between them too not crammed in. Worth a visit

This is a really lovely and friendly cafe that offers amazing value for money. The Quantum breakfast has so much on it that it comes on a non-standard plate! There was barely time to sit down after ordering before the piping hot food was on the table. Staff are great and the food was cracking - breakfast servings were generous and not greasy at all. The other meals coming out swiftly looked superb as well. In an area almost spoilt for excellent cafe options, this will definitely be a return visit location.

Came across this friendly little eatery by accident after a visit to a Chiropractor on Severn Rd. Only had a coffee with a friend on my first visit but the following week we both had food there. I had a standard breakfast which was delicious and so reasonably priced. My friend had a chicken baguette and was even offered hot chicken. The staff here are so lovely and welcoming. I shall definitely return next time I am in the area.

I love this Cafe, great People great food and to top it all, a great atmosphere, very relaxing place to go and have food and be able to have a conversation. Time and time again we have been there as a family and never disappointed.

Yesterday was my last visit here sadly. I've been going most of the summer for my large breakfast but I never feel welcome. During the summer in 30 degree heat I was always put in the window without the outside canopy / sun shade open to protect me. This was very worrying as I was recovering from skin cancer. Recently I've been put on the new small table against the wall by the main order desk. I honestly don't mind if it's busy but yesterday I was there from 10:10am until 10:45am and there were only three of us in there dining that whole time. That new table is in a terrible place. I would keep it for staff meals only - or remove it. I felt so uncomfortable, chemotherapy means I am vulnerable to Covid but at that table there are people constantly walking past, in the queue to order or standing next to you looking straight above you at the menu while you are trying to eat. For me, this wasn't safe with Wales Covid numbers now on the rise again. The waitress will happily look after families and workmen but she does not like solo diners at all. A morning breakfast is my daily treat as I care full time for my Mum who is now living with me because she has late stage dementia and is now at end stage heart failure and receiving palliative care. This is my one hour out and my little break while the palliative nurse takes over. The owner of Quantum (Eddie's brother I think) is lovely and welcoming and but the one waitress does not make me feel welcome at all, in fact she makes me feel like I'm a nuisance. The other waitresses are lovely and always polite. I will be returning to Maria in Tuck In Cafe or down with Eddie's & Rose's friendly staff in Cafe Fresco, I always feel welcome in both of these cafe's. I see from trustpilot and reviews on here I'm not the only person to feel like this about this waitress. I know it's not a big loss to the cafe at £7 daily (or £8 if I have a can) but because of this one waitress I am taking my money elsewhere, to somewhere I enjoy eating and I feel welcome.

Visited here for breakfast,with my husband, whilst out doing some shopping. opted for the cooked breakast. We didn't have to wait long, and it was delicious and great value for money. We will be back!

Just happened by this little breakfast oasis, excellent value for money and delicious breakfast. Service was swift and friendly, two bacon, two eggs, two sausages, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, hadh browns, two slices of toast send a mug of tea; only £7. ABSOLUTE BARGAIN.

Excellent breakfast as well as other foods but ive only had breakfast here but very enjoyable food and the service is excellent
