Accommodating and the best bar staff allot of menu which is good and the smoking area very comfy

Been coming here along time and food has always been A1 but the last twice the food has had no taste....shame really

I went to the con club for a private function after a funeral. The atmosphere was really good and the staff and members of the club were all very friendly. Shame my fist visit was under those circumstances.The buffet they had prepared was really good, I'd recommend this club to anyone looking for a venue for any function.

I was in the club for a wake, 23:2/24I feel I have to leave a review as I was so impressed, the buffet was fantastic, great selection and well presented , staff were all lovely helpful and a credit to the club

Lovely place , clean and bar staff were lovely, especially the youngest who for me was the loveliest, cut her finger on some glass but she stayed very sociable to us all !! If she is working with ya all in six months time your one lucky club !!! Well done sweetheart xxx

Had Sunday lunch. Booking was simple. There was a wait at the bar because of staff shortage but happens everywhere. Lunch was lovely. I'm veggie and one member of staff stood out to us was Cheryl. She spoke to us several times. She told me the veggie option and said it was ready for me. I asked for veggie gravy. She went to make it and took it to our table ready. Lovely lady. We would come bk again. Thankyou everyone 💓

I had a Sunday dinner there today it was absolutely banging completely out of this world will definitely be having a few more there. I feel like I have missed out for so long.

Beautiful dinners every time staff really friendly would like to thank the young lady who served us with our dinner yesterday my son is disabled and can only use one hand and she willingly helped plate up his dinner without any fuss so much appreciated fab meal had by all...thank you sue symmons

It can be quite quiet at times but then this is a good thing if you want a quiet beer I don't like rowdy places staff are great and the beers are always cold and fresh they have a pool table music chanel is always on unless you wish to use the jukebox and also do the most amazing Sunday dinners upstairs but best to book as they are well liked and frequently run out fast.

Went for the first time today for Sunday dinner. Absolutely stunning, 4 freshly cooked meats to chose from, fresh veg ... couldn't fit it all on the plate, so much choice. Really tasty.

My wife sent me up to get a take away sunday lunch. Absolutely stunning food, nice service very friendly. However I was gobsmacked when I said I wanted a kids tray but all I was going to be having was 3 yorkshire puddings and at the time some stuffing, however my daughter later decided not to have the stuffing but to have some cranberry sauce to go with her yorkshire puds, I know shes a weird but wonderful child. I was charged the full price of £6.95 for this. Really off putting. Myself and wife both enjoyed our meals.

Celebrated a birthday in the upstairs function room, it was a lovely big room with its own bar and a stage with a dancing area. Parking space is limited.

Have wanted to try this place due to the raving reviews and now I have I must say that it was ok but I have had better Sunday dinners... Roast potatoes had that texture of re-heated microwave spuds,the mash wasn't the best and both myself had partner commented on the meat being dry, I had turkey him beef. On a whole it was a bit of a let down

From the outside of the Gowerton Con Club, you’d never imagine what goes on inside! This is a superbly well run venue, with friendly, hard working staff, upstairs, in a large, airy room, filled with smart set tables and chairs. The buffet style Sunday lunch is hot and deliciously tasty with lots of choice. There are at least three joints of meat, professionally (and generously) carved by the club secretary, Peter Carey, in full catering uniform. When we visited today there was a choice (or mix) of beef, gammon and turkey. The veg included creamy cauliflower cheese, roast and mashed potato, roast parsnips, carrots, peas (garden or mushy), swede, sprouts, cabbage, stuffing balls and Yorkshire puddings. There was also apple sauce, mint sauce, horseradish and cranberry sauce. The gravy is rich and tasty too. When he can, Mr Carey comes out from behind the very hot counter to check that his customers are happy with the food and service, which they always are! There is a bar as you enter the room that serves a good range of soft and alcoholic drinks to take to your table with you. The staff are lovely and keep everything clean and tidy as well as serve desserts and clear and set tables. The desserts are on a menu at each table and are always piping hot and generous in size. The Sunday lunch is easily the best our family have ever had, outside the home, and we always highly recommend it. As their reputation is so good, you usually need to book a table in advance, even though they will sometimes open the downstairs too, if very busy! Oh, and you can order takeaways too, which is handy if you prefer to eat at home or if they are fully booked. Sorry if I’ve gone on a bit but I can’t praise them enough! The only way they could improve the service is to open for Christmas Day lunches! 😁

Amazing friendly staff and good atmosphere we go to Salsa which is held there on a Tuesday at 7pm with Kieran and Donna, you have to go it's a good way of socialising as well as being taught Salsa dancing, so much fun. I always come out smiling and breaks up the week. The people that go dancing are so friendly. TRY IT. "YOLO" XXX I hear they do good food there on Sunday's

An amazing lunch it is a carvery,and ,everything is fresh,great selection of meat and veg, My family would certainly recommend this club for Sunday lunch.one of the best we have had. And they do take away roast dinners.

If you belong to a slimming club you know you can’t go wrong with a carvery. And this is one of the best. I chose a slice of pork, gammon and beef. (I could have had turkey too), I walked straight past the Yorkshire puddings, the roasties and the roasted parsnips (none being Slimming World friendly). Then I filled my plate with a massive amount of veg (at least 6 different veg) - and some boiled and mashed potatoes. I particularly love the choice of 2 types of peas. I went for the mushy ones (hubby had mushy and garden). The gravy was tasty (which I counted as 4 syns). Plus I have to admit to having 1 stuffing ball - another 2 syns. Will we back - yes definitely. Best to book as even though the place is huge (over 2 floors) it gets very busy in there.

Best Sunday lunch carvery I've had in a long time and very reasonably priced. Full marks also for having cauliflower cheese, perfectly cooked sprouts (take note other eating establishments sprouts taste best not when they're slightly cooked but when they're cooked to soft but not too mushy). Take note also other eating establishments - they add salt to the food which makes it tasty and doesn't need so much salt to be added.

Tastiest carvery in Swansea and lovely staff

A lovely carvery - several choices of meat. I went for beef and ham both tasty and tender. Veg - peas (tinned and mushy) carrots, roast parsnips, cabbage, swede, cauliflower cheese. Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes and mashed potatoes. Tasty gravy and plenty of condiments. The place itself was way past it’s best but the staff were friendly and place clean and tidy. A lovely touch was the chef coming around to speak to diners asking if everything is ok. Finally parking is awful but the chef suggested that the church up the road is available! Will we return? Yes definitely!

My family went there for the carvery they run on Sunday. Superb food and great value. A wide choice of meats, vegetables and sauces. Lovely surroundings, very helpful staff, and the food tastes fantastic!!! The best thing about it for us is ... no prep, no washing up and we are free to spend more time together as a family doing enjoyable things such as a stroll along the beach etc. We can't fault the meals for value or taste. Like Oliver Twist, we go back for more!!! They also run a takeaway meal service which appears very popular. The restaurant is always full, an indication of its popularity and value for money.

Lovely show and venue it's a shame there isn't a lift for disabled.

Had the most delicious Sunday dinner for a long time,fantastic choice of roasts also great selection of vegetables,desserts are delicious to,staff really friendly and helpful,not the most modern surroundings but the food made up for that,well worth a visit also child friendly,you won’t be disappointed,will be returning again.

If it is home cooked, just like your Grannies your after, then this is the place for you,we have never been disappointed. From the excellently cooked meats to the copious amount of veg and Yorkshire puds to die and the expertly made gravy you'll be in heaven.. Then theres the puddings wow just wow.We will be going again soon very soon there are not enough Sunday's in a month.

The carvery is out of this world. The staff can't do enough to please. Could do with better decor and new carpets but we go there for the gorgeous food, relaxed atmosphere, spotless kitchen and staff and excellent service.

Nice place to have sunday lunch

First time having lunch in the Gowerton Con Club. The food was good. Plenty of choice. Good portion of meats served with the lunch. Negative points. Tables very sticky and not cleaned. Pity about the dog that walked into the dining hall. Staff were pleasant and worked hard. I would visit again.

Have had many Sunday Lunches here, and I cannot fault them. The food is absolutely delicious, and so much choice. Well worth a visit for those who have not discovered it yet.

What a great evening with Mr Phil Steele as guest speaker. Food was a Carvary and was superb, both the Turkey and Beef! The stairs are two flights with a turn half way up of 180 degrees. I didn’t notice a lift but then I didn’t actively check. Fantastic evening of entertainment, food and a nice pint

Best value for money Sunday dinner around

We came along for Sunday carvery. We had never been before. It was very tasty. Yum Yum! Liked everything about all the choices of the food I had. My family were also impressed. Went for the chocolate fudge cake for dessert to which was literally to die for. All staff friendly and attentive. Will def recommend and will be returning
