Amazing atmosphere, stunning food and amazing entertainment on weekends especially on a Friday with the bands. The staff are amazing and so lovely and friendly.

Love the Vivs. Pool Table out back, great live bands and Kareoke every week and friendly efficient staff. Had many great meals here too. They even do a great pint too if i dont say so myself.

Great Local pub, couldn't have asked for better.

Cracking pub especially weekends with Steve the karaoke & bands 👌 Sunday lunch is also definitely worth a try as it's a proper nan's dinner,parking bit of an issue but apart from that it's a cracking pub with the new owners

Came in here with my partner for some food beautiful home cooked meals both very impressed with the service we had! Stayed for the karaoke and was a fantastic vibe within the pub everyone seemed happy! We got told about the quiz they hold every Sunday so we came back for a Sunday lunch and then back again in the evening for the quiz which was a good laugh. Throughly enjoyed and will be coming back!

Great pub and an even greater community. I always enjoy coming down for the entertainment nights, especially the live music on a Friday and the karaoke on a Saturday. Would recommend visiting and interacting with some of thr locals.

This is a fabulous pub. The entertainment and atmosphere throughout the week is like no other pub around the area. Food is home cooked and delicious. Staff and customers are fun and welcoming.

Dear Sir / Madam. I have decided to contact you about the Abysmal way that myself and other patrons were treated last night. Last night the Vivian Arms held a karaoke night which was very packed, with the building being full to almost capacity, myself and my friends arrived just after 7 pm. From 7 pm my friends and I enjoyed our time at the pub, around 10:20 myself and a friend left to buy cigarettes from the local co-op which is less than a 2-minute walk. Upon trying to re-enter the pub we found that the outside doors were locked and a lock on the gate to the outside smoking area. While stood outside waiting for our friend to get the staff to unlock a door to let us in, we saw numerous patrons attempting to leave the building and getting frustrated that they could not leave. In addition to those patrons inside trying to get out members of the public who also wanted to get inside were unable to. after 10 or 15 minutes of waiting outside our friend was able to ask a member of staff (not regular bar staff) to open the fire exit and let us in, upon getting inside the member of staff demanded to know who I was as, after telling him and turning to him I saw him putting a lock on the fire exit. After finally getting inside the property and getting to our drinks which were in the beer garden, my friend who is normally very calm and collected, was very upset and worried about the fact the doors were locked and that every possible way of escape including the fire exits were locked. The friend who came outside with me had a panic attack, because of the claustrophobia and lack of care from the members of staff. After finishing our drinks we decided to go inside and grab our other friends who were playing pool oblivious to being locked inside a very crowded pub and lively pub. A man in all black with a very nasty attitude came by 2 or 3 minutes later to collect the glasses and slammed the doors to the beer garden telling us that "the beer garden is closed". My friend asked him what was going on and why the doors were locked, she was faced with open hostility and an aggravated attitude from this member of staff which subsequently sent her into another panic attack. I also asked the member of staff why the fire exits were closed and a lock on the outside gate was there only to be met with more hostility and the feeling this member of staff wanted a fight with anyone. When we all decided to leave the pub I checked with a member of staff who is usually pleasant and positive with us, about how we were meant to leave only to be told bluntly that "there is a man in a purple jumper who will let you out". After being told this the member of staff left before I could ask for any more clarification. Upon leaving I decided to let the group go first while I would leave last, some members of the group talked to a lovely member of staff who said that he was "told" to lock the door and to only let people out when they asked. After some positive conversation with this member of staff who has always been a wonderful to us, I noticed as he closed the door he locked the door with a key. All of this happened before 11 pm which is the end of your opening hours, I also want it to be known that as the designated driver I had not drunk or done anything that could alter my perception of what happened.

Food was lovely and served promptly. Staff (notably Romuly) were friendly and helpful

Thank you to Steve and all the staff at the Vivs for a wonderful evening celebrating my nieces Hen party last night. They made such an effort and it was so appreciated. All the food came out hot and beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend this place for a party 🎉

Went here last night didn't eat so can't really comment but the food coming out of the kitchen looked fab!! It was packed and the atmosphere was brilliant!!! Landlord and landlady couldn't do enough for us well done Jackie and Steve will definitely return...

Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful bar staff and music and people not too loud. Although they were out of my first choice if food the second option was delicious.

We spent an evening at the Vivs to celebrate a retirement. We received a very warm welcome from the bar staff, chef and the landlord. The service was excellent, the food was cooked to perfection. We ordered Gammon, Hunters Chicken and Scampi. All meals were hot, the perfect sized portions. We would highly recommend The Viv’s and will definitely dine there again. Thank you to the chef who was keen to make sure we were happy with our meals.

Came for Mother’s Day meal but really disappointed with the lamb shank as it was freezing cold, rest of the dinner was nice but when bar staff asked how the dinner was there was no offer of refund, also they wouldn’t serve any chips for my kids, had to rush through our dinners to take them for a meal elsewhere!

Good beers at good prices. The bar staff are polite and chatty. I went on a Friday when a band was on, great atmosphere but it got very cramped.

Went for lunch today if you like your Sunday lunch piled up on a plate with vegetables over cooked and piled high with a yorkshire pudding on top with a thick gravy poured all over you might enjoy. Not for me and will not return.

Second time I've been in the last 4 weeks. First time they weren't doing food. This time. Waited 10 mins at the bar only to be told they not doing food AGAIN. The atmosphere was dead. Literally 6 people in there. I still gave it benefit of doubt, after what I heard about the place at Christmas. But quite frankly I think this place is heading for closer. Very sad.

I recently visited the vivs and was pleasantly surprised by the positive changes under the new management. The staff's friendliness and excellent service truly stood out, making for an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the overall vibe reflects the dedication of the new team. Very friendly place with plenty of kind locals willing to conversate. Staff and new owners are super friendly and helpfull. Food was tasty and well priced. Im glad to see this place going up in quality with the new management. Great local pub and environment, will definitely be making a return :)

Friendly staff. Not a great drinks selection. Expensive for such a basic pub. Answer to my question, "What wine do you have please?", in all seriousness, was "red, white or rose"! The bistro in tycoch is much nicer. Sorry!

great pub, great food i had chicken bbq and chips which was £10.50. it was busy and a good vibe. dogs allowed which always helps me as i like my dogs with me. parking is available up by the shops it was bit tricky to park as was quite busy. i will defo go here again

I would highly recommend a visit to The Vivian. Its a great pub, ran by wonderful people. Lots of food choices with very quick service, and a reasonable price. Good selection of local alcohols as well as high street brands. A lot of entertainment here too, with live music, quiz nights etc.

Nice pub with regular live music, quizzes etc. Good pub grub. Reasonably priced drinks. Clean toilet facilities. Pool table in a separate room. Beer garden out the back. No designated parking area but local onstreet parking is available nearby.

This pub was personally not my cup of tea but I will provide an honest review and the pub may well be exactly what you're looking for. The main this about this pub is the atmosphere. It is a LOUD and LIVELY pub with live music, singing and live sports. Personally I like a quiet meal and am sensitive to noise so this didn't do it for me but I am sure that if you are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly environment, this is for you! The food was both good and bad. My brother's medium-rare steak was served well-done and my American Burger (bacon and cheese) tasted char grilled and of not much else. However the mixed grill was fantastic and the skinny fries were among the best I've had. The rest of our party were happy with theirs and the restaurant accommodates gluten free, dairy free and vegan options so definitely a well done for that. 🥳 The beer was good. Waitress didn't know what was what (which is weird for a local pub) but there's a good selection and waitress gave a perfect serve so you won't be disappointed. There is seating both inside and outside, a pool table and a smoking area. I would say wheelchair users would struggle to fit so will have to say not wheelchair accessible. Live music was great and live sports on TV was easy to see and easy to hear (but as I said it was too loud for me so that one will be up to you). Overall a good experience. A solid local pub with a great (but specific) atmosphere. Thanks! Summary: - Loud, lively, sports and music. - Food OK and prices reasonable. - Plenty of seating but not not wheelchair accessible.

Amazing pub !! visited for the first time Friday night. When we arrived there was a band playing lyndsey behind the bar told me they have bands every Friday. Cheap drinks great atmosphere and the staff are so friendly will be back next week !! Thank you for a great night

I found this spot whilst visiting Swansea for a business meeting and I was pleasantly surprised- the interior was warm and the drinks were lovely, the bar maid Rom was very lovely and chatty as well. My only complaint was that there was no Strongbow...

Fantastic environment with loads of events on throughout the week that’ll suit the entire family. Dog friendly pub with free wifi and TV for football/rugby games. The chef, Jack, is always makes sure that the food is top tier quality with amazing presentation. Never had a bad meal there.
