First time I have ever returned my food my rump steak was undercooked And chewy the nice waitress said the chef told her that’s the way it comes..ate the chips paid and left…never again

Excellent family meal for my birthday. The servers were excellent and the food was amazing including the kids meals . I would highly recommend.

Outstanding all around , would travel again and again . First visit tonight and going back again in two weeks due to work commitments. Had gammon and partner had mixed grill , wow food so tasty and plentiful. Had carrot cake with custard for dessert again beautiful I wanted to lick plate lol . Reasonable prices for main Meals and carvery on a Monday well what can I say really cheap for over 50’s at moment and as I’m now 51 my next meal will be a carvery it looked delicious. Great staff no pestering you like most places.

Service is amazing, owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Drinks are a brilliant price and made incredibly. Atmosphere is second to none and all patrons and staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Definitely recommend if you’re in or around the area for a quick pint and chat.

Called in for an early lunch.. the welcome was lovely, super friendly. The pub is cosy and relaxing. The food was absolutely gorgeous!! Very reasonably priced.. all in all a great pub!!

Ordered the piri piri burger. That was delicious but the chips that accompanied the meal were very anemic and cold in the middle. The coleslaw was very small and just tasted of vinegar. Steak was ok. The starter was lovely chicken taco. The services was good and very welcoming.

Stop on the off chance, lovely pint, very warm welcome. We had garlic mushrooms on sourdough to start, then the smashed burger and the hand battered cod, both served with homemade chips, lovely big portions, which were all delicious

Staff were really welcoming and attentive. Food came out in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious! Really tasty and well seasoned. Restaurant was spacious, clean and well decorated. Didn’t have to wait for drinks and waitress was always making sure we were happy and satisfied. So glad we found this place, would highly recommend! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Called here for family dinner on a Friday evening... all round superb 👌 Food was great, and outstanding value. Its nice to still have a pub/ restaurant with sensible prices. Will definitely keep going here

Had a table booked there Saturday afternoon, I had been there for a long time and did not know what to expect what a great experience, fantastic food excellent service ,and great prices , after demolishing my burger which was outstanding I had room for a home made apple pie with ice cream. First class the Globe well done we will definitely be back soon

Must check! Food was well cooked and well priced. I had a Surf & Turf. Lovely mix of my favorite food One of the best stakes I had. Food is superb highly recommend it Gentleman checked on us twice, very friendly and professional. On the other side atmosphere is maybe a little bit overwhelming. Advice to owners. Maybe its time for simplicity and refurb.

Lovely meal had here. Had mozzarella sticks for starters and the salmon for main. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Today we had the carvery Sunday lunch firstly the staff were friendly efficient the pub was spotless now onto the food in a word wow I had the beef & turkey the meat was moist plentiful delicious the vegetables were plentiful hot & the Yorkshire puddings were divine the desserts were delicious we had 2 courses for £13.95 well worth the money so much so we are going back next Sunday couldn’t fault a thing even my partner who is a fussy bugger ate every mouthful!!!

What a great place to eat and drink, a fantastic village pub.

Called over last minute. The Globe accommodated us despite the very short notice. Lovely atmosphere also and a lovely table. I had cajun chicken which was beautiful and my husband had fish which was so lovely. I would highly recommend a visit here.

We've had a few meals their recently, and the staff have been welcoming and friendly. Oh and the cheesecakes are to die for. The food has been fantastic, large portions, well presented, so tasty and great value. The drinks are reasonable and the atmosphere is joyful. I highly recommend a visit.

We visited the globe on a Saturday evening as a family of four adults and two young children. The waiter explained they didn’t had the new menus or something to that effect and therefore there weren’t any vegan dishes in print but were able to verbally offer 5 options. I opted for the Moroccan couscous dish which was absolutely beautiful and one of the best vegan dishes I’ve eaten whilst out in a long time. The Staff were very friendly towards the children, and very accommodating. The only drawback was a large party sat behind us whose kids were left to run riot around the restaurant and were literally running and skidding on their knees 🙈 you could tell the staff were awkwardly trying to to carry on about their business in the hope the parents would sit the kids down but it was never going to happen. On the whole, very nice experience, great food had by all, and with the exception of the goings on from the large group it was a pleasant atmosphere.

Went for the Sunday carvery with a friend & was disappointed. I had been there on a few occasions over the last few months & the carvery & dessert was excellent. In fact I had been recommending that my friends should try it. Yesterday I was disappointed. Meat looked dried up & it was only 1pm. I had the turkey that was very dry & my friend had the beef, which he said was lovely. Vegetables were mostly frozen, sprouts were hard, swede was the frozen diced swede that had no taste in it. The last carvery I have had at the Globe the swede was mashed & full of flavour. The roast potatoes didn't look very enticing. They had no colour & there was no mashed potato as there had been in the past. Yorkshire pudding was ok & the gravy was tasty. Meal was luke warm & cold by the time we finished it. We didn't bother with a dessert as the meal was a disappointment. Unlike our previous visits. We definitely won't return as there's much better carvery's in the area that serve fresh vegetables for a similar price.

Went with a large group all served at the same time. Food was fabulous. Had 3 courses all delicious. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend it and definitely will go back soon. There was no rush for us to leave. Got there by 7 left at 11.

Booked a table at the globe after rugby with some team Mates. The food was beautiful, with homemade chips. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, they where amazing. We will definitely be returning.

had carvery here few weeks ago very busy we were sat in an awkward spot but the service and atmosphere was so lovely the staff couldn’t do enough for everyone so friendly the dinner was out of this world we will definitely go again . only thing id say is the dining room was very packed and tables to close to each other we were glad we were not amongst the croud in there they could do with a much bigger dining room or pub lol

Went to the Globe last night with friends. We had a lovely meal and the service was superb. We hadn't been to the Globe for a few years but will definitely be returning soon.

27/10/23. The worst meal and service we have ever experienced in any establishment in the Swansea area. Small and over priced portions, food served cold or over cooked, many tables sending food back. Chef abusing customers in public. This pub used to be terrific when Joey and his team were running it, we were weekly regulars for 10 years. The decline in service, standards and food is awful.

Our food was perfect and we had great service. Yes, there could have been more staff but it’s a problem everywhere in hospitality at the moment. You just need a little patience, you may need to wait for your food a little longer or go to the bar and get your own drinks…it isn’t a big deal.

Well where do I start, arrived at 7.30pm booking time took 20 mins to be offered a drink then ordered food same time, 30 mins later had to go to bar and get more drinks still no signs of food. Food eventually arrived 1hr, 30 mins after ordering and most of it turned up cold, sides that we ordered never arrived. The pub seamed well over booked for number of staff employed ( 2 ) and there were possibly 40 customers everything seamed a shambles, we could hear several tables complaining about the level of standards and service and even noticed the chef and cooking staff being abusive to customers. Such a shocking experience, in fact appalling.

Dropped in for an evening meal absolutely stunning. We both had steak, cooked to perfection.we were told there maybe a wait but tbh there was not. The staff were friendly and efficient. Nothing was to much trouble , we definitely highly recommend. Only two minor complaints , plates could be a little bigger and more vinegar lol . Thanks to you all.

Hadn't been to The Globe in a very long time. Was part of a party of eight on this visit. We all really enjoyed the food. There were some decent vegetarian options, which was quite important to myself. Lovely atmosphere, and good service. Highly recommended.

Been her a few times, this time was for an anniversary celebration. Food as always was excellent, the staff are very helpful and friendly and service is quick but not rushed. It's not expensive either. Would highly recommend

I give the Globe Inn 4 stars as the food was delicious, this place is very busy on a Sunday so it's wise to pre-book, the staff seem to be under quite a lot of pressure, no sanitizer's on the entry or tables, our table was quite sticky with particles of food stuck to it, there was very little to pass between tables to get to the WC, so not sure this meets with Covid requirements, but as I said the food was full of flavour and delicious.

Our local pub, 5 minute walk. Good food great menu and service. Bit hectic atm but even a glass of wine in the garden and a vue of Glais mountain makes the visit worthwhile. Thanks to all the staff x

Absolutely beautiful meal. 4 of us ate here tonight and we all had the steak and ale pie which was beautiful.

The food was excellent.l had salmon and friends had cod and plaice.Dessert chose Banoffee pie which was lovely.

Nice meal and pleasant staff good value for money

I visited with my Sister and mom to celebrate the end of my sister's first year of university and the successful exam results. It was a first visit for me although my sister is a regular patron. Having worked as a chef both in the UK and America I have to say the chef at the Globe knows his stuff. Kudos to you. Not only am I a trained chef but am also vegetarian and although I would have loved to see more vegan / vegetarian options I totally understand. What I had was amazing. My sister and my mom, both meat eaters totally enjoyed their meals too. A steak and ale pie for my sister which was probably one of the best servings and presentation I have seen in my career, and mom had the pork chops, again presentation and apparently taste were second to none. I myself had the 5 bean chilli (vegetarian) and again one of the best chilli's I have tasted. Personally it was a little mild for my taste but that was remedied with some hot sauce I requested. Both ladies that served us were amazing and extremely good at their job. Will definitely definitely return. Thank you for your service.

Due to the Coronavirus the Globe's restaurant was closed. However Joe provided us with takeaways. Excellent food as usual.

Quick service, food was ok. The place is starting to look a little dated.

We decided to go to The Millers in Clydach but they didn’t have any food as a delivery had not been received. We then went to The Old Glais Inn which was not available. We decided to go to The Globe Inn and ordered cheesy garlic bread and a mixed grill. The cheesy garlic bread was a full baguette and was enough to share between two. The mixed grill was tasty and cooked well. The two bar maids were very helpful and very welcoming. Recommend it!

The food is well presented and reasonable had the cod today it was lovely.Very nice staff.

Myself and my wife popped in and had the two meals for £12, we both went for the Lasagne, it was advertised as homemade but tested like a bought one you microwave, very average. We also ordered dessert, the fudge cake was lovely and a good portion size We will be trying an evening meal there at some point and I will report back

Visited here on Sunday with a large group of family members, we use to go regularly but haven’t been in a while and won’t be in a rush to be returning. Staff are very friendly and helpful a little rushed off their feet but that’s down the not enough staff to accommodate not their fault. The food was not very nice roast potatoes were defiantly frozen ones tastes horrid, the carrots were very soggy and the cabbage rock hard. The meat was ok but overall it just wasn’t nice , we had to ask for more gravy at least 3 times just to get enough for us all. Slightly gutted as this was one of our favourite places to visit.

We used to come here very regular with out family, but unfortunately it has gone downhill. The service we received today was shocking and it wasn’t even busy came at 7.30pm. It Took ages for them to bring a food menu and take drinks order, then waited up to 10 mins for them to take food order. Starter came out quick (pâté) then 25 minutes for our main and by then there were even less people. We had to go up to the bar to get our 2nd drink as no staff to be anywhere. A large party came in after we had finished our main and staff seemed more attentive with them to ask us how our food was and did we want desert even though I had chosen to have the 2 course main & desert we decided to pay and go and not bother waiting for them to ask if/what desert we wanted. We won’t rush back, they need more staff or the staff need to pay more attention. The menu needs updating it’s been the same for a few years and not many specials.

What a fantastic Sunday lunch we have had today lamb and beef was tender tasty will definitely revisit

Been going here for a while and when looking to beat on value, quality, Service and portion sizes. Disappointed with the very poor quality of coffee. Otherwise food was good.

Visited this cosy, friendly country pub for a traditional Sunday lunch. The lunch was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Lamb which was cooked perfectly, the assortment of vegetables included cabbage and swede not just peas and carrots which most restaurants serve and the gravy was ‘just like Mother makes’. To sum up it was a great Sunday roast served with a smile by lovely waitresses. My first but definitely not my last visit to this delightful country Inn.

We love this pub and it is always our meeting place to get together with family and friends. Always fabulous meals.. Never had a bad one.

Been going here for a while and when looking at other pubs. This place is difficult to beat on value, quality, Service and portion sizes. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

We were a party of ten, and preordered our food and everything came out perfectly. The meals were all varied and all outstanding. One of the best pub meals we’ve had and we will defiantly returning. The 2 course menu is such good value and there’s so much choice. Booking is recommended as it’s very popular. Go and visit you won’t regret

Reasonable menu, typical for a pub, ranging from the usual favourites to steak and other meals. Busy restaurant with lots of repeat business so they must be doing something right. Food was hot and very nice. In case anyone's interested, the chips are home made. We (party of 9 people) all thought the food was really good value and good quality. Will go again.
