Chose Chateau Rhianfa for our family’s Father’s day lunch celebration, and we really couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location. Our meal could not have been more delicious, and the presentation and value for money (£30 for a choice of three courses) was top-notch!! Oh and everyone in our party (7) received a free pint to celebrate Father’s Day!! Highly recommended.

We have just had a pre Xmas 3 course Xmas Dinner including coffee and mince pie. It was absolutely delicious and was even cheaper than our local pub/restaurants. Friendly staff, lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. Well worth a visit

We waited almost 1 hours for lunch. We asked how long it would be after waiting 40 minutes and never got an answer after the woman walked to the kitchen the cafe wasn’t busy, infact it was quiet. The breakfast wasn’t anything special… it was expensive for what it was and wasn’t what we’d call a large breakfast.

A cute spot in Blaenau Ffestiniog - the only spot open on a Sunday morning after we had stayed overnight in a local slate mine. I got the hashbrown roll and my husband got the bikers breakfast - both were delicious, prepared quick and the couple working were so friendly and adorable. I would highly recommend stopping in here for breakfast!

Visited this Bakery on 4th July, was the 2nd day of a 10 day holiday. I bought a steak bake and an incorrectly reheated sausage roll ( Barely Tepid...a massive NO NO) I have to say the sausage roll tasted and looked absolutely rank leading to me throwing at least half of it away. 2/3 Hours after consuming I started with a fever which soon led to the most violent Diahorreah you can imagine, this continued for 19 days totally destroying my ( and my wifes) holiday. Upon returning home my doctor confirmed that my test results did indeed show Campylobacter ( Typical of incorrectly reheated meat). The only positive I can draw from this experience is that I will now gave to return to Wales and have the holiday that Chatwins ruined for me.

The 1815 Bar was nice tight and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the meal was at the other end of the scale. My wife’s meal was just swimming in grease and my fish and chips (£19), was a frozen piece fish in batter. When you cut it all fat came out of it. They were both terrible. We both left about 3/4 of our meal. We did mention or complaint to the staff, but nothing happened. I notice that there are no recent reviews, maybe it has all changed since last year. I would say it does now not deserve the 4star review trip advisor shows and it should be recategorised as a 1 or at the most 2 stars.

2 of the main courses were unavailable. The vegetables for the lamb course were unavailable. Alternative vegetables were given which were undercooked and cold. Potato was tasteless and cold . Did mention it to waiter whose response was sorry. £24 for a piece of lamb is unacceptable as I didn't eat the vegetables or potatoes.

This was our second Christmas Lunch here, and both were very enjoyable. The food and service was good. We were totally satisfied with everything. Nothing much more to be said!

Our first time in Abersoch for a birthday weekend with friends. I researched to find good restaurants and on reading good reviews in our accommodation we booked The Cove. The menu was different to what we had found online and overall the choice was disappointing. There were only 2 other tables in that Saturday night and from the poor starter choice they didn't have the one 2 of us would have had, and we struggled to find an alternative. We were all disappointed by the choice of mains but even more disappointed by how very salty all the mains were. Following our feedback to the waitress we were given two starters but we'd much rather have had a good meal. We will not be going again.
