Pre show dinner at Venue Cymru theatre. Had made reservation about four weeks prior to visit but restaurant staff could not find my booking. However, we were escorted to a window table with fabulous views over the bay. Drinks came in quick order and food followed. Great food and fantastic service.

We dined here before our musical and it was delicious. An abundance of staff who noted our arrival and seated us at a gorgeous sea view seat. Drinks were plentiful and good value. The price for the set menu was good considering the quality of the food. We both had belly pork and it was 10/10. Cooked to perfection. Would definitely come again due to the helpful, friendly staff and quick services times.

We were on a week's stay in a hotel close by for a pre Christmas break in Llandudno. Hubby decided to book the panto at the Cymru Theatre before we left. The hotel provided evening meals but the panto was at 6pm so we managed to book a table at the theatre restaurant....food, staff and standard of cleanliness all exceptional....it was the best meal we had during our stay, succulent, delicious, substantial and very reasonably priced. Restaurant staff very accommodating and polite. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate here before seeing James Martin. The food was really delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was very efficient and friendly and we are our meal in plenty of time before the show. If you’re attending a show at the theatre this is a good option to eat beforehand

Visited for a pre-show (Blood Brothers) meal with my mother in law and thought the food was lovely. Had a carrot and coriander soup to start, followed by the lamb and then finished off with a peach jelly. All the food was brilliant - the lamb was tender and the portions were really plentiful. My only criticisms would be that the menu was a little overcomplicated on some choices, and we had to wait quite a while for our food order to be taken (about 30 minutes), as well as a couple of mix ups with our drinks, which did mean we were rushing our dessert before the show started. But, the staff were lovely and chatty. Will definitely be booking again for future shows.

We went to the y review on Wednesday for pre theatre dining before the Rocky horror show. It was excellent the food was in very large portions hot and delicious. The staff very welcoming and all guests had a table next to the window looking onto the seafront . The timing was excellent leaving enough time to take your seats in the auditorium.

We visited Y Review for the pre show meal before the Jane McDonald show. We had booked in advance by email, we had a warm welcome on the night, shown straight away to our table (which was overlooking the bay, beautiful) and we told this was our table for the evening, so we relaxed knowing we could take as long as we wanted. The food was absolutely superb! My husband had the steak, extra cost, but it was really worth every penny! My vegetarian meal was so delicious, and we had an side of red cabbage which was wonderful. We cannot thank the staff enough for making our first visit to the restaurant so very memorable for all the right reasons, hope to be back soon - thank you!

Even though the reviews were good, I wasn’t expecting this restaurant food to be as good as it was. The restaurant isn’t posh, it’s functional and very clean within the building of the Theater. Loved the menu. Crab ball with a beautiful poached egg shouldn’t work but it does! Fabulous, so fresh and tasty. I had the beef, which fell apart. My husband really enjoyed the lamb. Great wine choice too. No puds, too full. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Perfect place to eat overlooking the sea, think would be lovely in the summer too.

Visited the restaurant after a matinee performance and once again an excellent meal. Well catered for as I am gluten free. Service very professional with lovely helpful staff. With the views out over the bay of Llandudno what’s not to love about the experience?

As on my last visit- Warm greeting on arrival and well organised table allocation at 6pm prior a 7.30pm performance. Initially prompt service with drink and jug of water. Lovely servers who couldn't do enough. Starter arrived (which was not my soup order) so had to wait for a further 10 minutes as there seemed to be some muddle for them with table numbers. The soup was lovely and tasty. Although a bit of a wait for my Steak and salad mains it eventually arrived Well Done- as agreed on inspection by the waitress (I had asked for medium rare), also the Dijon Mustard requested was English Mustard provided. The steak was removed and eventually my Medium Rare Sirloin arrived as the announcement for the theatre seating being open (so it must have been 7pm). Luckily I had taken my own emmergency supply of Dijon Mustard and salad dressing sachets with me so I did not have to wait further for this. I scoffed my main as quickly as possible (normally I would have had some cheese for afters at my leisure pre-show) so as not to disturb others by being late into the theatre during performance. By the 1/2 time break my indigestion was worsening and I went home, missing the second part of the show. Overall a very disappointing and expensive (£64.95) eve leaving me in discomfort.

Had a spectacular Christmas meal before watching Sleeping Beauty. Absolutely superb staff who were very proffesional and all three courses were excellent.I was recomended the beef and wasn't dissapointed. Full marks from me,thnx again.

Another great visit to this restaurant the views are fantastic.as usual my sister and I pre-ordered a few days before due to allergies.i had the sirloin steak with chunky chips veg onion rings and garlic buttered tomatoes they were delicious.my sister had the braised beef chips veg and onion rings.best meal I've eaten in a long time attentive friendly staff.and a great manager in carys.cant wait to return

This is the second time we have visited the restaurant before a show.The environment is light and spacious,all the staff we encountered were all friendly and smart. I was watching them,they communicate well with each other to ensure they are working efficiently. The set menu was lovely,they had run out of a few bits,that is why I scored a 4. The food was well presented and just the right portion,I would highly recommend a visit.

Our first visit to this restaurant although we live locally! Our first impressions on arrival were of a clean, spacious and airy entrance. A lift took us to the restaurant. The decor, table placements and window views from the restaurant were first class. We were swiftly acknowledged by the waiting on staff for drinks and then food order. The menu was varied and suitable for all tastes at a good price. Our order arrived promptly with a friendly and helpful service. The food for 4 of us was tasty, well presented and of good portions. We were not rushed to finish our meal or depart even though it was near closing time.We will return and recommend highly to others.

Don’t know why I havnt had a meal here before ham egg and chips lovely the chunky chips are perfect and the staff very friendly and always willing to help

My sister and I eat here every time we go to the theatre and have never been disappointed.i have to pre order our food due to food allergies the food comes out quickly and is always of excellent quality the staff are friendly and professional.especially carys.

This was my first experience at Y review and my socks were deffinately blown off. I attended the surf n turf night meaning for just £35 I had 5 generous courses. (See the picture of the size of a steak!) Atmosphere was amazing and the staff were truely the best.

DJ Frassbox can dj where every race will dance all night long. His music will keep a joyful vibe and you'll want to never stop moving your body to the beat

we had a two course meal here last night. It was one of the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant. I had lamb with cous cous and my husband had sea bass. Both delicious and well presented, same for the desserts. The staff were excellent and friendly. The view from there is just amazing. We were not going to the theatre but just booked for a meal. It is not for you if you want to eat later than 6.30, as they close about 8 when the production starts at the theatre. I hope they start to open every weekend, not just when there is a show on.Thank you very much, we really enjoyed it and we will book again for sure.

The quality of the food is amazing. The staff are really efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We have been 3 times recently before going to a performance but we are planning to go just for a meal.

We got a theatre package which included 3 course meal, and didn't have high expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive and friendly, the portions were generous and the food was very good. Would recommend and return.

We had a pre show dinner 15/6/19. I'm a cook and a foody and so fussy about what I am served in restaurants. This place is superb. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was wonderful. My husband had mushroom soup to start and I had the smoked salmon parcel...…...both dishes were high standard and very enjoyable. We both had the sirloin steak and although we asked for it rare it was more like medium and it was so juicy and flavoursome we didn't care!!! it was probably still cooking on the red hot plates! If you like your food to be served hot and tasty and beautifully presented then this is the place to be. A big thank you to you all. Like I said ….I am so picky about restaurants...but I couldn't find a single fault. Everything was A1+. Well done everyone. We will be back xx

Delicious and plentiful meal (I chose Goat’s cheese & lemon thyme mousse with confit tomatoes, basil oil and black pepper crouton followed by Sirloin Steak with peppercorn sauce and trimmings, washed down with a glass of red as I gazed out over the promenade and sea. Truly tasty meal which was freshly made. Shall definitely consider a re-visit on my next Venue Cymru theatre experience in a few weeks time.

Once again my sister and I ate at y review before going to watch "Annie" as our food allergies are quite difficult to cater for.its great for us to be able to eat in complete confidence here. We preorder our food it always comes out quickly and is always tasty. The staff especially Carys are a credit to the place.can't wait to return in august

I visited y review with my husband and daughter and had a lovely lunch. The food was of a very high standard and presented the same way. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was very clean and the view was fabulous.

Greeted by friendly staff shown to our table and immediately brought iced water and bread rolls. Not a huge menu but makes up for it with the quality.

The Whitehouse Hotel Llandudno. We stayed for a week returning after 6 days. Hotel being refurbished which it badly needs. Didn't get a welcome from girl on front desk told to follow the yellow brick road to our bedroom. Had to find meals times ourselves. Food was passable menu never changed except for a pie every night same with desert. A few of us ate out. Beds and towels are clean. Little Dave is the waiter and at 77 years he is a darling don't know what they would do without him he works damned hard. I would visit again when everything has been done and got a better chef/cook or whatever he calls himself but until then no way. He doesn't know what meat veg and gravy are if he does he doesn't cook it.

Excellent lunch today, pork with puy lentils and steak and horseradish mash - both delicious! Nice to be able to watch the sea on this windy day from the panoramic window inside the restaurant! Staff most helpful and friendly, we will be back

Booked the package deal before going to watch a show. I wasn’t sure what to expect , but both food and service were excellent and with the best view in Llandudno! Excellent value deal which included three courses and an interval drink.

We dined here on a busy Saturday night, before watching the show Collabro. We were approached quickly & shown to our table. Lovely views of the bay. What a selling point for this restaurant! We both had the soup to start, i had the chicken for my main (beautiful) & my Mum had the fish, then to finish i had the tart & my Mum had the eton mess. Good portions. Not too much that you're bloated afterwards. Great value. And the food really was amazing. I'll be back again soon. And we look forward to trying the lunch menu next.

Went with friends to eat before the show, food was delicious a little high brow for me but I enjoyed the B B Q chicken it was really tasty and a good size. Eton mess was lovely too. I felt the staff could have been more attentive though I did request a menu to choose sweets but had to get it myself as time was getting short. Service could have been a bit faster and it was not full. But very enjoyable non the less.

With half a dozen starters main courses and afters there is not a lot to keep up on; however when we arrived they had run out of steak. Ho hum chose something else which was OK, not great just OK and eventually gave up waiting after 20 monutes for a plate of cheese and biscuits. They did not something off the bill but it is not the point. This could be a really good place but you are left with the feeling of what might have been.

Having read mixed reviews, I went with an open mind. There was a lot of choice on the menu. The food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Tasty, well-presented and served by delightful staff. I shall definitely be returning.

This is a very nice place (geographically) in which to take ones evening meal. We had a great view of the bay and the atmosphere is pleasant. The menu is interestingly varied but a little limited. Staff are somewhat over friendly, I would have preferred a little less chat. Food portions are on the small side and the veggies could/should have been hotter. The main let downs were the desserts which were somewhat lacking in taste and the initial round of coffee's. These were exchanged. We took about 80 minutes to complete the meal and drinks. The total bill was not excessive but, we all ( 4 people mid 50 s ) felt a little underfed. Would we dine here again ? Probably not.

Nothing special. Food ok. Soup bit tasteless. Not keen on the bread with it that contained olives,would rather a plain slice.

We purchased tickets for I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue at Venue Cymru and decided to eat in the restaurant before the show.

The restaurant is attached to the Venue Cymru theatre and we had dinner before a show. There's a small selection of each course with options for 2 or 3 courses. I had the asparagus warm salad which was excellent followed by the beef, and pancakes which were also excellent. Good value and efficiently served leaving plenty of time to get to my seat.

Mi hermana y yo vinimos aquí antes de ir a ver "ese será el día de Navidad", ambos tenemos muchas alergias alimentarias y siempre ordenamos nuestra comida. Me gustaría agradecer a los chefs que siempre satisfacen nuestras necesidades de comida, que no siempre pueden ser fáciles. Nunca nos hacen sentir como si fuéramos un problema. El personal, especialmente Carys, siempre es educado y servicial. Sabemos que podemos comer aquí con total confianza de que se satisfacen las necesidades. Ya he reservado dos veces para el próximo año.

Fuimos a una comida previa al teatro, como siempre, el servicio y la comida eran de primera categoría, comimos jamón con pudín negro para empezar, pechuga de res y panceta de cerdo para los platos principales y panqueques de manzana para el desierto, todo lo cual era delicioso. caliente y sabrosa. El personal es excelente y obtuvimos el beneficio de ver el fuego en la calidez.

Sin lugar a dudas, la mejor ubicación de restaurante en Llandudno con vistas panorámicas de la bahía desde su mesa. Sin embargo, la decoración deja mucho que desear con mesas de formica y asientos duros que le dan el ambiente de una cafetería estilo supermercado, ¡es una pena que el potencial aquí sea enorme!

Estábamos asistiendo a The Awful Auntie y decidimos usar el restaurante. . . Qué error. Esperó unos buenos 5 minutos para estar sentado, aunque no parecía estar particularmente ocupado. Nuestra camarera vino y tomó nuestro pedido, cuando llegó la comida nos decepcionó mucho, la sopa estaba fría, el cerdo tirado tenía trozos de hueso, había pedido huevo y patatas fritas de jamón. Las patatas fritas se calentaron en el horno. Hicimos varios intentos para captar la atención de la camarera sin éxito. Entonces decidimos probar un postre para compensar nuestra decepción. 25 minutos después, nos dimos por vencidos y fuimos al bar a pedir la cuenta, ya que nadie había intentado venir a limpiar los platos o preguntar si queríamos algo más. Expresamos nuestra decepción a la joven que estaba detrás del bar, que llamó a la directora, nos dieron un desagrado sin ningún contacto visual y luego dijo en voz baja que le dieran un 10% a la camarera antes de alejarse. Nunca más, una decepción total por todos lados.

El sábado 29 de septiembre, mi esposa y yo íbamos al Festival de Cine de Banff Ocean en Venue Cymru con cinco amigos. Reservamos Y Review con anticipación para cenar antes del show, un restaurante extremadamente agradable y bien mantenido con vista a toda la bahía de Llandudno y en el primer piso del teatro. Llegamos a tiempo y nos llevaron directamente a nuestra mesa. El menú era simple pero muy tentador: puedes tener dos cursos para unos 22 o tres para unos 25. Todos empezamos por un entrante y un plato principal, ¡pero casi todos sucumbimos a un postre y un café después! Solo puedo hablar por mí mismo, pero me pareció excelente el estándar y la presentación de la comida, aunque creo que esta fue la opinión general de todos nosotros. El servicio también fue impecable, los camareros muy amables y las camareras, que fueron de gran ayuda, y un gran mérito para el establecimiento. Comencé con jamón de jamón y buñuelos de pudín negro, que eran hermosos, y luego tenía las chuletas de cordero como plato principal. El cordero estaba probablemente a unas pocas millas de distancia, suministrado por Edwards de Conwy, fue cocinado a la perfección, bastante delicioso. Uno podría tener la tentación de renunciar mientras se adelantaba con dos cursos excepcionales literalmente en el cinturón, pero los otros iban por los postres y yo estaba tentada. Came to y review before watching shrek on Aug 30th.the preordered meals arrived quickly. As always my sister and i's food allergies were well catered for by friendly and efficient staff.looking forward to returning in Nov.

We visit this theatre often, but have never used the restaurant. We tried it before watching Shrek and were really delighted with both the service and the food. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the food portions were generous and absolutely delicious. We had time for a stroll down the prom before the show started. Great night x

We booked a pre theatre meal here which we really enjoyed. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The choice of food was good, I had fish and friends had the pork and the chicken, all the meals were perfect, we also had starters but sadly didn’t have room for a dessert, which all looked amazing. The cost was very good for the quality.

Lovely location with a fab view !! We ate there before a show in the theatre wasn’t very busy! Check open times become you visit as not open all day! And arrive in plenty of time as they can’t guarantee you will have you food in time for the show otherwise , we were lucky and the waitress but us 1st and we ordered a panini! Fab food and drinks though and helpful staff ! Catered for vegetarians too

Went for a pre show meal, good choice of dishes. The food was well presented and very tasty. Staff were very cheerful providing excellent service. Great views over the sea.

Visited this establishment for the second time now. First visit was spot on food. Took time to arrive but ok.

A friend and I were looking forward to our pre theatr dinner at the venue recently. However the two course compulsory meal for £20 was very poor. The pork meal was chewy and there was just half a large carrot and a small tasteless pancake on the plate. The raspberry Eten mess consisted of a couple of raspberries a teaspoon of icecream and the same of meringues. It was finished with four dollops of whipped cream. Won't be dining here again. I would give it 4 for service and 1 for food and value.

Went to venue cymru to see a show with friends, booked a pre show meal. The staff were very helpful, being vegan they accommodated my requirements and everyone’s meal was faultless.

Just called here on the off chance Saturday lunchtime after a breezy walk down the prom. It was just after the lunchtime rush, so we had no problem getting a window table to enjoy the great sweeping view across North Shore and over to the pier.

Visited here before seeing The Shires. Due to traffic we were 30 minutes late so didn't arrive till 18.10. I knew ghey stopped serving at 18.15 so was a bit worried on arrival. Carys and her team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and we had a lovely table overlooking the promenade.

Really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant, the food was delicious, staff very friendly and of course a stunning view over the bay. A lovely spacious restaurant will be back!!!! Thank you

Enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal at a very reasonable £24.95pp. Service was incredible the view stunning and classy menu that did not disappoint. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and highly recommended.

Despite going to many events at Venue Cymru I had never eaten at Y Review. Went with a friend yesterday and was really pleased with our meal. All tables were full so book a table if you need a particular time. Creative menu, well presented and food was delicious. I had curried gnocchi with chick peas, veg and spinach purée (good vegetarian choice), followed by creme brûlée with rhubarb & ginger biscuit. It was all really good and I’ll definitely go again whether going to the theatre or not. Credit to the chefs and good serving staff.

We've been many many times to Venue Cymru to watch various shows but haven't been to Y Review for 3-4 years.

We were attending "Crazy for You" at Venue Cymru and needed a pre-theatre meal. Y Review is on site and so we dropped in and there was no problem finding us a table (bad weather had reduced numbers considerably so I woud expect normally to have to book a table). The cod was luscious - beautifully presented, extremely tasty and very filling. I followed it with Creme Brulée, a ginger version which was to die for. I did notice that someone ordered it after me and there was none left, however. All in all service was great the food was delicious and the location was so convenient for us. (The show was great too - I'll be back).

Arrived at 5.45 for 6 o’clock dining. Used to be able to get the small bottles of prosecco but not anymore. Lager - only by the bottle...

Although this took a few calls to book, I guess it is only staffed on pre show evenings, the person that contacted me back was very helpful and I was pleased not to have booked elsewhere. Having had pre-show dinners at other venues, I was...

Y Review restaurant is based at Venue Cymru, Llandudno so is a very convenient location for a pre-theatre meal – far easier than trying to eat in town. There are plenty of staff and courses are served promptly (they know you only have a limited amount of time to eat before the theatre starts).

Couldn’t fault the majority of the food, basic but good. The only exception was the Eton Mess, which was as far from an Eton Mess as it’s possible to get in my mind. It was basically a bowl of mousse.

We had booked a table so that we could have a meal with friends before we went to the theatre. We all had the steak and were absolutely thrilled with the meal and we all agreed it was the best steak we had had for many years. I might add that we are all quite hard to please as we all enjoy cooking at home so are quite critical when we eat out. The service was faultless and we would highly recommend this restaurant.

Called here for lunch without an appointment, and asked to wait 30 minutes for a table. It was certainly worth the wait as we both had a lovely lunch. The place was very busy, mostly with folk booked to see a matinee in the theatre. We enjoyed good company while we waited, and my friend was delighted to meet Welsh speakers - the only time during our week's stay. The upstairs restaurant overlooks the sea, and although the weather was changeable that day, the view was lovely.

We had a pre show meal on Saturday before the Jane McDonald concert , the service and welcome from the staff was excellent. The starters again excellent. Before ordering we was informed that all the steaks had been sold, and one of the sweets, so early In the evening I found this to be poor management of stock to match anticipated demand. The main course came with pulses and veg rather than Potatoes which was not to my taste. The venue is excellently located looking onto the seafront, the menu was limited in terms of choice.

Standards have slipped. The same waiting staff produce a good general level of service, but food is too evidently cooked long before service, with the result that the pork was dry and that the duck was undistinguishable from pork. We will not be returning.

Hemos comido en Y Revisión en cuatro ocasiones, y cada vez he recibido una comida deliciosa, bien presentado, servido por un personal agradable y eficiente. Mi única queja es que el menú ofrece sólo dos platos principales vegetarianos, lo que limita la elección que algo. Sin embargo, la comida es siempre de una calidad excelente, y recomendamos encarecidamente este restaurante.

Visitamos y revisión antes de un show y no me puedo quejar de la comida. Era precioso y se muestran muy bien. Sin embargo, el servicio era terrible. Cada vez que se requiere una camarera para pedir, solicitar algo, pagar, etc., tuvimos que llamar a ellos. Ni una sola vez nos preguntó si estábamos bien, si necesitábamos algo, si nos gustaría té/café o cualquier bebida, una vez que habíamos terminado la nuestra.

Excellent choice if going to a show. The food is very good with a good selection. The views across the bay from your table are first class.

We booked literally last minute before a show and was surprised we got a table. The staff are all really good and the food was amazing, I had the belly pork wrapped in Parma Ham to start, we both had the steak for mains and it was delicious and a lot bigger portion size than I remember, it came with a twice cooked carrot, aubergines, roasted tomato and chips and was mouth watering, for desert we ordered the cheese board and a cheesecake which was on a honeycomb base. Great service, great food and excellent value.

First time at the theatre restaurant last night. Run by council so not expecting too much to be honest. Mainly young girls with one older 'supervisor'..however nicely surprised by food and staff although I think they could do with a little more training by an expert in customer care. Setting fantastic but thought tables and chairs did not match the quality or the ambience - perhaps scrimping a bit by the council? Overall excellent food, good value for money and would definitely visit again.

Another wonderful pre-theatre meal. Staff are always friendly and efficient which is needed when you're eating to a deadline! Very good wine list and good menu choices.

Just dined here before seeing a show,the setting is wonderful looking out on the bay,and the staff were very friendly and helpful,the two course set menu was excellent both in value for money and standard of food,perfect start to a lovely evening

Went for pre-theatre dinner as we have done many times in the past.Started with a large hair in the soup followed by four mains that were cold when they arrived and the sauces looked as though they had been sitting on the meat for quite some time, as they had started to solidify.Chips never arrived with the steak and had to be requested several times before eventually arriving.This was a real disappointment as we had really talked the place up to friends who were with us, and who had never been before. Unfortunately they said they will definitely not be returning.

Booked as a belated christmas present for my girls, including a theatre trip. Lovely and relaxing before the theatre. Beautiful food, attentive service. lovely location. The main course was delicious, but people with a big appetite would be advised to order a side of chips. Also soft drinks are expensive, but the staff will bring a jug of water if asked.

Lovely meal , very tasty, good value. Third visit here and will definately return. The steak pie is delicious and the fish and chips.

Wanted the convenience of eating in the same venue as the snooker. Lovely view of the bay. Food of average quality and service reasonable...quote 'We don't usually do this' when asking for a window table when there were no other diners yet there.Food a little pricey for what it was .

I went and have returned to the resturant here since my trip in December. We went before Panto and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The childrens meals were fantastic value and very much enjoyed by our children. And the adult meals were lovely too. We chose a light meals- pannis etc. The mushrooms are delicious. As I say, I have been back since and always enjoy the food! Worth a visit!

This was our first visit to this theatre and we enjoyed our relaxed pre-show meal at the restaurant on valentine's night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the chef able to accommodate my dietary needs. We'll definitely return this spring and look forward to seeing the views from the restaurant next time when the nights are longer.

We were in Llandudno for two nights and booked a table on the first night. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and efficient and the whole experience was great such that we then decided to book in again for the following night. The second night was just as good and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Thank you.Derek and Anne W

A lovely venue with a stunning view of the Bay as the sun began to set.There were plenty of efficient staff. We were spoilt for choice as the menu had a range of unusual dishes. The food arrived promptly and was very tasty. The overall experience was rather special; all washed down with a mellow bottle of Shiraz!

We went on valentines evening for a pre theatre meal and it was fabulous. We were warmly greeted and presented with menus then shown to our table. The menu was full of choice but I opted for the smoked salmon parcel filled with crab meat and cream cheese followed by the Moroccan lamb with mint cous cous. Everything was very tasty with generous portions. The service was excellent and we didn't wait for anything. It was our second visit to the restaurant and would highly recommend it.

Valentines night and pre-concert meal. Good choice. Great views over the sea and promenade. Nice ambience. Down side was the slow service making it a rush to down our meal as the announcements the show was about to begin. It's good value and the food was delicious.

Lovely food but very cold once the theatre doors open if you are pre show dining. also a little understaffed as very busy, so allow lots of time

Everything was so bland and tasteless. So disappointed as last year we had a superb meal there. Also Saturday night at 6pm been told there was no steak or duck is a no no no!! Left us with poor choice!

Staff are always friendly and efficient making sure that meals are not hurried despite there being a 'showtime' deadline. Food well cooked and beautifully presented; excellent menu and wine list. Lovely views over bay.

I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past. It is lovely looking out over the bay and I've always enjoyed the food. We went today as my mum wanted to treat her friend for her birthday and thought it would be a nice run out along the coast. It was the first visit with my three year old daughter. I'd taken nibbles in a small plastic box as i didn't want her to play up and disturb other diners. We'd travelled some distance and she'd had some of them so wasn't very hungry for a main meal but the three adults all had mains,desserts and coffees. My daughter had juice and ice cream. The waitress came to take our order and was quite rude in telling me that it was company policy not to allow customers to bring any of their own food into the restaurant 'so as i know for next time'. I found it overly harsh denying cucumbers sticks to a three year old but so be it if it's the policy. The way it was delivered marred the whole meal. There were very few diners in the restaurant which made it dull. The problem with 'telling me for next time' is that i won't be going again!
