The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Changed names to ‘Dolce Vita’ now and the place has been refurbished, looks really good. Found the food quite bland, didn’t seem to use any seasoning? Everyone thought the same at the dinner table.

Been many times as local won't be returning aa partner has Diarrhea and I feel iffy and stomach all over the place after what we ate.Attended 16th May 25

Nine of us had a meal here last night. It's such a quaint, old fashioned pub - small rooms, lots of beams, low ceilings, full of character. The staff were very pleasant and attentive and the food- wow! Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. They were so full of flavour and piping hot - which I love. 100% recommend the Ty Gwyn Hotel

I had a 4 bean chilli with nachos which was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were crispy and well cooked. The special for the day, salmon cajun was also nicely done. Certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

As a couple we had booked a meal post walk around St. Annes head. We ate in the bar, can I just say that the staff were fantastic. The bar is tired with old tables and the chairs were dirty. The menus were old and marked. We had 2 330 ml cokes which came to £7. I ordered a pint of prawns which came with 2 tiny slices of bread (dry) and a small pot of rose marie sauce. This was £19, there wasn't even any cooking involved. My partner has cawl and spat out her first mouthful as it was just grisle. As I've said the staff were lovely but we won't be going back again. If you're going book the conservatory.

Simply the best. Exceptional lunch by the most super talented young chef. We were blown away by the quality, creativity and mind blowing flavours! If you have not yet visited you are missing out big time! Get yourself down to The Vine Tree ASAP

Ate here on Easter Sunday, we'd prebooked. Excellent hospitality, a really warm welcome and great roast dinners, particularly the beef and the cauliflower cheese. Love that extra gravy comes as standard. All made welcome including our dog. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this picture. Food is top drawer, service is excellent and always friendly, but the best thing is the cask ale...one of the best pints of Butty Bach I've had in a very long time and I know from previous experience that the HPA is stunning too!

Best Sunday lunch I’ve had out in a long time!! Also recommend the garlic mushrooms to start 😋 very clean and friendly staff!

Not my best meal, the sea bass was good but the vegetables / potatoes might as well have been raw… husband’s steak was ok. Son’s sausages was the icing to it all, the plate arrived with one sausage!!! He normally eats 3! He was shocked & disappointed! Restaurant is lovely inside & staff were nice

Fab place! Really great selection on tap, like Sharps Atlantic pale ale, a hazy ipa, guiness, Worthingtons cream ale, Madri, Staropramen, doom bar, also flavoured ciders. Love the outdoor seating! Also, how awesome is the canine menu! So welcoming for dogs. Friendly staff too. Food looks delicious!
