The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Went here tonight for the first time. I was put off my visit from the offset. My partner was parking the car because it was hammering it down, after giving my name, the waiter went to what I think might have been the kitchen, before seating us. I asked another member of staff if I could order drinks whilst my partner parked, as I know how much he’d love to have a Guinness ready for him. I asked what I think was the manager, to whom he replied, I believe my colleague is serving you, can’t you see in soaking wet (from the rain). He then proceeded to roll his eyes and scoff at me. No, I didn’t notice you were drying yourself, and even if you were, don’t do it at the bar, where it was usual for people to ask to order a drink? I wouldn’t be writing this review if I was just met with no problem, I’ll get those for you as soon as I can. Having worked and lived in pubs my entire life, this certainly isn’t the service I would’ve provided, especially to evidently new customers. It put a sour taste in our mouth for the whole time we were there. We won’t be retuning.

Why is this establishment still included on TripAdvisor when clearly as stated it is closed!! I waste time looking for restaurants which are not available.

What a wonderful pub. The bar staff were welcoming and friendly, we hadn't been here before but we will definitely be back. The band is amazing just waiting for the second half.

The theme is good, also the food is pretty good as well but it’s not too accessible as the size is rather small but overall a good chip shop!

Town House as always has a fantastic atmosphere especially when you have the Scooter Rallys on, Karaoke on Sat & Sun. Great fun

Day out at this Iconic Venue and a fine lunch with astonishing views from the main Hotel Restaurant. Entry fee inc if you've booked lunch with Hotel.! Excellent lunch and entry fee included !! 🤗🍸🙏 Iconic Portmerion location with weather to die for and this superb Italianate Venue to hang about in .. The main Conran restaurant has upped its game enormously since I was there last and its now a go to destination with finally a restaurant with high quality and sophisticated choices to match .. We were here to experience the diner and the aerodrome. We had hoped to see the XL Beluga, doesnt everyone ? I had read they were most likely to be seen on a Thursday but that wasnt the case for us. However it didn't spoil what was a great afternoon. Lots of other action going on with many smaller planes coming and going including one from the Red Arrows and a Police Helicopter. Food was good and served quickly. It is obviously a very popular place so it is best to book. You can eat inside or out.

Amazing service here, came here for food and drinks on my stag and I cant give enough praise to the staff who looked after us, the food is great and the boys definitely got into the spirit of the evening, we felt very welcome and at home, by the time we were leaving we could barely walk and even the locals at the bar got chatting with us and some even aided in the games. What a great atmosphere, great staff, what a night! Will definitely have to go back in the future, thanks so much guys for having us 🙏

A friend highly recommended this Fish and Chips the first time I visited Carmarthen 17 years ago. He's gone to a better place now. God bless his soul. I remembered thinking that it was the best fish and chips. Never had a chance to try it again until now and it still taste as good. Only problem was there were too much chips for anyone trying to keep to a low carb diet. Hopefully won't have to wait another 17 years to try again.

One, of the best pub meals we've ever had! Delicious food and great service. Each of the dishes we had were amazing and prices reasonable too
