The Fat Seagull in Pembrokeshire

Why is this establishment still included on TripAdvisor when clearly as stated it is closed!! I waste time looking for restaurants which are not available.

We were lucky enough to get a table on a Friday evening where the staff were friendly and attentive. We had drinks served quickly and menus explained and “Specials” offered. The food arrived quickly and starters and main courses were delicious unfortunately we had no room for desserts! On this visit would definitely return when were are in the area and would encourage a visit to all

Tried this restaurant 2 months ago , staff were great and menu was as it says on the website. This time we went the staff were so disinterested it was unbelievable ,the menu had nothing on it that was on the website. We ended up walking out as the staff had not acknowledged us in any way.

After reading reviews we went with high expectations, but they unfortunately weren’t lived up to. We ordered a bottle of red wine, which was cold when it came to the table, bad start. My girlfriend ordered a pizza, which was too doughy and undercooked. My mussels for starter were good, however the crab linguine was sparse and fairly bland. Maybe we went on an off night? Either way, I don’t think we’ll be revisiting which is unfortunate, as the staff and ambience were pleasant.

We had come to Tenby during my wife's birthday week, we booked the restaurant for a family meal for 7 to celebrate. We then read the latest reviews and began to wonder if we had made the right choice. We then started and enjoyed a very nice meal, there was another group of guests also celebrating a birthday. In the background there were ABBA tracks being played quite unobtrusively. The night turned into a riotous ABBA tribute night with everyone taking part even the staff. The food was good, then a totally impromptu fun night that absolutely made a great family outing for us!!

Me and my family came for tea tonight and our waitress was the kindest hearted lady , apologised for our wait (which wasn’t her fault) and we got free drinks and chips whilst we waited. The food is to die for and the atmosphere is so lovely. Thank you for our lovely food and all the best!

Cannot comment on food or drinks. We left after being seated for 30 mins without any acknowledgement from the staff, it wasn’t busy. The 4 members of staff working were laughing and joking behind the bar! I’m not sure they even noticed us leave. Won’t be returning.

Having read the reviews and checked the menu on line we booked for Friday night , which was our last night at Tenby. On arrival the waitress was friendly and seated us quickly, we order our drinks then started to look at the menu. At this point we realised that the actual menu bears no resemblance to the menu shown on their website. On questioning the waitress she said the owner had changed and had changed the menu in the restaurant but not bothered to change the online menu. More complexing was the fact that the specials board outside was also not relevant to the menu provided inside which was basically just pizza’s. Considering we had booked 2 days early you would have thought the owner would at the very least respond with an email to explain the change. Not wanting pizza we had to go and find an alternative restaurant on a very busy Friday night.

This great restaurant belongs to relatives of my husband, food is delicious, staff are really friendly and highly recommend it

Having wandered in on a fairly busy week day in August we were greeted with a very warm welcome. Service was quick and friendly and food was pretty tasty, kids pizza was massive 😀

Called in yesterday for a nice lunch. We saw someone have a nice cheese and meat sharing platter, so, as fish lovers, we chose the fisherman’s platter. It was terrible. The calamari and cod was so over cooked (deep fried) they were unrecognisable. The only nicely cooked item was the tempura prawns. How can anyone over cook fish ? Never once did any of the staff ask if the food was ok, either whilst we were struggling to eat it , or when we went to pay. Bad customer service ! We left disappointed and still hungry !

We came for lunch and then dinner the day after. The service was absolutely outstanding, friendly, accommodating (my friend had a garlic allergy) they cooked food fresh so no garlic was added. Atmosphere - lovely food -excellent staff - friendly. An absolute must when visiting Tenby.
