As its one of my local pubs im oftain at the bar, the selection of local, welsh and uk brewery draught bittersis great always something different every other day and always good. On every saturday they have live music from local bands and artists which is always varied could be traditional irish folk to 70s rock to accoustic easy listening. The atmosphere in the pub is so much better than it used to be alot of the missrable old crones that clogged up the bar looking down on people who dared enter the pub are GONE... Good riddence!! Much more welcomeing and friendly now plus the food thats coming out always looks top notch (wont lie i prefer the liquid diet when im in a pub) however the wife and i have had a sunday lunch which i reviewed further down this trip advisor. In all if you like real ale and a fun atmosphere join in and have a pint

Im a regular of the bar not so much for sunday lunch and as a rule I don't really like carvery lunches however this is a great exception. 3 meats on offer and at least 5 veg plus 2 types of potatoes, all meat cooked lovely and doesn't go dry on the carvery station, I had turkey and beef and my wife had turkey and pork all 3 were delicious we had all the veg going and we cleared our plates very reasonable prices 8.95 for adult and 4.95 for children or 11.95 for carvery and desert (of which theres a great selection of deserts) Also if food isnt your thing and prefer a liquid lunch theres always a great selection of real ales wines and spirits including a good selection of whiskey and gin

Good meals, good value, good service. The venue does well on the railway station ambiance with signs and memorabilia. The menu list is basic with specials appearing on the board. I like it that way. I don't want to be overwhelmed with descriptions of "escallop of this" and "Torte of that". Two of us had steak and two had mixed grills. They were excellent, presented well, cooked to our requirements and very hearty. Side order of vegetables a bit sad so maybe the salad next time. Selection of a few ales with option to sample. No overwhelming 'background' music - a lovely place for a social evening. Looking forward to doing it again.

We discovered The Station Inn, right beside Pembroke Dock's single-platform terminus, on our numerous trips to Ireland, and now we look forward to a pint of excellent Hooky Gold and a heart-warming meal - it's one of the highlights. The meals are tasty and pretty substantial - I chose the Thai chicken green curry, and I just could not finish it, much to my regret! The Station Inn is one of the disappearing gems in Welsh (and British) cuisine, and richly deserves to be preserved.

On way to the Pembroke-Rosslare Ferry we stopped at The Station Inn for lunch. It was Sunday lunch time and the place was busy, as we hadn't booked we sat at a table in the bar area and purchased our tickets for the carvery from the bar. Might sound like it's a huge place but that's not the case small quaint bar/restaurant - could do with a little refresh on the interior, but very quaint space. Food was reasonably priced and a choice of pork, beef or turkey with all the usual trimmings. We had the turkey and the beef and the food was very tasty - especially the stuffing balls!

As we were staying in Pembroke for a few days thought we would try out this local pub. We booked a table as we weren't sure how busy it would be. When we arrived there was only one other couple eating, worrying. Half the tables in the main bar had been pushed to the side and looked as if the place was shutting down, more concerns. In reality it turned out to be one of the best nights ever. The menu was quite extensive but cheap. The food was like good home cooking, no fancy pants small portions but good grub. More locals came in to eat and it turned out that the tables were pushed aside because Saturday night is music night. We arrived at 7.00 for a meal and left after 11 as we stayed for the music which was great. We returned on Monday night and had such a welcome because they remembered us from Saturday. If you are in the Pembroke Dock area I would recommend this place. If we lived closer this would be our local.

Just been for lunch. Had the gammon which according to the menu comes with either egg or pineapple, chips peas, onion rings mushrooms and tomatoes When it arrived it was gammon peas and chips. My friend had ordered it so we assumed there were 2 gammons on the menu and she had ordered the cheaper one as the one I had ordered was a 10oz and what I got looked like an 8oz. When I came to pay it turned out that there is only one gammon on the menu which despite what the menu says only comes with egg or pineapple, chips and peas, I was seriously lacking in the trimming which I was expecting as part of my meal (because it was on the menu) I had to pay full price and feel totally ripped off. The food was nice but I wouldn't have ordered the gammon had I known it only came with chips n peas. If it's on the menu they surely they should serve it

We thought we would give the Station Inn a go, the night we went the fair was in town so the place was very quiet. We had a lovely warm welcome and the cider was very yummy :) I has the pate to start, oh my it was lovely, it came with hot toast and real butter and a small side salad. Hubby had chicken goujons, his plate was full, he said it was real chicken not this (processed rubbish) he even had a warm crusty roll with his so he was a happy bunny. We both had the same mains surf and turf, we wasn't expecting top of the range steak as the meal was not very expensive........ We were so wrong, the steak was to die for very tasty, there was loads of scampi, which was equally delicious, nice and crispy, and it also came with a bowl of chips and salad. There was just so much food, hubby was in 7th heaven. If you’re looking for a tasty meal in relaxing surroundings, then this is the place for you. We did feel as if we should have paid more for the meal as it was far better than meals we have paid double the price for.

Before i start i will say i am a local. The station inn has been established for some years now, the station has a good range of real ales on at any one time if not more. The food is cheap but yet still nice. The bar side is dog friendly however not on the restaurant side which makes sense really, if you are planning to eat you can eat on the bar side. the owner and staff are always friendly. at least once a week generally a Saturday they have live music it is loud so be warned but range from country/jazz/folk/Irish etc i think you get the idea.outside is approximately 12 picnic tables and free parking for about 12 cars also. ideal location for commuting from Pembroke Dock. i'm sure you wont be disappointed. general prices at time of writing are £2.80 a pint and £5-£10 for a bar meal.Try it out if your passing.

We thought we'd try this restaurant for the unusual location of the former waiting room of Pembroke railway station. We arrived at 6.30pm as the restaurant had just opened so got a choice of table. By the time we left the place was half full. It was a bank holiday Monday so not sure if this is typical or not. The menu had a good variety of options all at reasonable prices (including some 2 for £10 deals) plus a specials board. I opted for the gammon - not fish! - in parsley sauce and that came with a choice of potatoes with veg or salad. We had to go to the bar to order drinks but I suspect that was because the waitress forgot to ask then hurried to take our food orders to the kitchen. All in all good food, good location and good prices. I'd certainly return next time in Pembroke.

First I need to say how I got there to be fare... : me and my wife got separated in Ireland ferry port so I ended up missing my coach waiting for her the whole day in town, I was frightened (I'm a foreigner and my wife is my only guide in there) I was very anxious and lost so a couple (Mandy and Ian) offered me a beer while helping me ... (god Bless them both) I ended up in this really clean friendly beautiful place by the train station , even tho I only drinker larger, the smell of the food was amazing and each and every customer was happy, the place was spotless, make sure you look at the antiques on the bar and to notice the sealing, the building in itself seems really old and is a big historic value. The locals are so nice (mostly). The woman in the bar was very helpful, she offered to help with the taxi and asked about the ferry port, same as the couple I was with whom walked me to the ferry port at night and made sure I'm alright, It's a really good place, I will deff be back with my wife and some friends as I use pembroke dock's ferry port to travel between Ireland and the UK, If your a visitor or came on a toot or even waiting for the ferry, make sure to visit this place. It's located near the town, in the bus station (it use to be the old waiting room for the trains years ago as locals said), However I did I won't be able to repay the friendly and the help and the distract I got from them people I met there, it's weird how sitting in a very nice place with friendly locals can calm a lost person down and stop them having an anixiety attack ... Thank You all :)

Six of us went for a weekday lunch. I've been here many times before for Sunday lunch which has usually been very good value for the price paid although the service is always very amateurish. This time we chose from the extensive blackboard menu (no table menus) and I went for the ribeye steak. As a chef I know my steaks and this one was cut forward from the ribeye and was fit only for braising. Tough is not the word and most of mine went back. Waitress reaction was 'tut tut, what a shame' and that was it. No offer to replace or even reduce the price. It was a fun day out and I was not going to spoil the atmosphere so didn't make a fuss The price was cheap and now I know why! Very good selection of real ales in the bar but wine choice was red or white. Won't go back.

Ate here on basis of TA reviews. Pub is in old buildings of railway station. Apparently it has been here for about 15 years.Ambience is homely and was very busy the lunchtime we were there. Don't expect modern bistro style pub food but hearty (quite big portions) of simply and competently cooked food. Extensive menu includes liver and onions, gammon, steaks, pies and home made curries. Puds include spotted dick, crumble etc.The best bit is the cheap prices. Don't expect a culinary experience but highly recommended for wholesome pub grub.

Pembroke Dock is not the prettiest of towns and the availability of proper beer, properly kept is an extreme rarity. It's very easy to eat badly in this town but difficult to eat well. Thank God for the Station. I've been an occasional but regular visitor for a few years and I'm always pleased. My visit on Monday was exceptional. Two courses for two and three and a half pints for less than £28. Wonderful! Not fine dining but exceptionally fine pub food at low cost. Where else can you enjoy pâté, followed by ham, potatoes and parsley sauce and a decent beef bourgignone at these prices. The menu is surprisingly long and varied, something for everyone. If you are passing through (no one stays) it will be the saviour of an otherwise boring, hungry and thirsty night. And! Walking distance from the soulless Travel lodge.

Though not the smartest pub in the world, the Station Inn is comfortable, and has pleasant, helpful staff. In fact, everywhere we went in Pembroke Dock people were pleasant. The food was good simple fare and amazingly cheap ( especially compared to Southern England!). Pembroke Dock Station on an early-February day filled us with gloom until we went outside and saw The Station Inn. Still uncertain about finding it open we tried the door and our day immediately changed. We only had time for one of the delicious home made soups (choice of three), but noted the wide range of dishes and desserts on the menu. We were envious of the fifteen other people lunching there; they obviously knew it was a good place to go. Their meals looked good and the prices were exceptionally reasonable. The bar has Purple Moose as well as other ales and beers. Service was quick and friendly. This place is an undiscovered gem. Located in what would once have been the old station waiting room, it has plenty of character, indeed trains still stop at the station for Pembroke Dock and ferries. The food is plentiful, and represents fantastic value for money with most mains around £6, and it all seems to be freshly cooked. There is a comprehensive menu of pub favorites including curries, and they have curry nights and specials on certain nights. The icing on the cake is that there are always 2-3 real ales on, and there is live music on Saturday (ans sometimes Friday) nights. I work in the area twice a year, and always have a few meals at The Station. Its ideal for anyone travelling by ferry if the timing is right, as to be honest Pembroke Dock is not exactly a shopping mecca.

It was a rainy Sunday in Pembrokeshire. We were hungry, and a Google search pointed this place out. We almost knew what to expect and fancied a chinnese. Anyone with physical limitations do not try to access. No lights to the path and pitch dark. Once you're in it's cold and sparse. A few tables to accommodate sit downs but this place runs mostly on take aways. The cook was very busy. A young man taking orders, serving and dealing with customers coming in and out. Bit chaotic. We kept our coats on ate our dishes, which were nicer than expected. Worth a venture ... some fun a bit like faulty towers. We would go back.
