Roma 2000 in Swansea

Regarding your delivery service with Deliveroo, you recently blamed the drivers for mixing up our food order. Do the drivers actually pack the food in the correct bags? I find that hard to believe. If we had the wrong order then someone else had our order. My husband phoned you to explain this and all you did was blame the driver. What you should have done is sent out the correct food to us but you did nothing. Disappointed as money is tight these days and takeaways are a luxury.

If you want fish and chips in the Gorseinon area then no other shop compares to Roma 2000. We always get a good meal from here whether it is take-away or delivery. The staff are always friendly and hard-working. Service time is relatively quick, depending on what you order. The only slight downfall is parking. It can sometimes be very difficult to park outside the shop and you can go around the block a few times before finding somewhere to park.

With very kind Permission from the Owners of Roma 2000 they allowed me to give them some of the rocks that I painted for # Morgan's Army ( Gorseinon Based Childrens Cancer Charity). Thankyou once again to Nicky and his dedicated and hard working staff. It's very much appreciated.

Excellent food and amazing value. If you're coeliac it's not the place for you sadly.

The staff were nice and welcoming. However the only thing that was nice with the food i ordered around £8 for chips and burger was the Ketchup. Yes - ketchup was nicer than the food itself. Seriously like why would someone microwave cheese ?

Reliable fish and chips shop, with huge portions of chips. No complaints and don't feel the need to try anywhere else as I have yet to have a bad experience there. Service pretty quick even at busy times.

Friday night Chippy, Very busy being a Friday, Amazing service had a small issue, and it was rectified straight away. Food amazing, we had chips, half rice, and chicken curry and salard with chicken strips. Staff was really helpful and friendly, condensering how busy it was. Thank you.

Have always used this chippy, food and staff are fantastic and I've never had reason to complain before ,I ordered today for collection and on unwrapping items realised my chicken platter salad was missing its salad, I rung the shop and when I explained the guy was so apologetic explained he would resolve the issue if we could go back to collect which my partner did , once again on unwrap the guy had made me the nicest looking salad I'd ever laid my eyes on and newly cooked chicken to go with it,I was very happy but then my partner showed they had also given a voucher for next meal for us going back to pick it up Food 💯 Customer services 💯 Thank you

Cheeseburger advertised that it came with coleslaw and salad. It didn’t. Jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise - the potato was dry as was the tuna, with practically no mayonnaise and very sparse

My husband had pasty and chips, the pasty had been microwaved, which he was really disappointed with as it ruins the pastry. I had cod and chips, cod was ok. it was a bit small for the money and the chips were dry - not what we were expecting from Romas.

Unfortunately the Sunday dinners are disappointing and roma should definitely stick to fish and chips. The dinner had no taste so it was extremely bland even with Gravy on top. The parsnips were hard as if they were not cooked. Definitely will be sticking to the usual pubs/restaurants for Sunday dinner.

What’s happened? Chips were nice but the pie……… Why are they microwaving the pies? They should be kept warm in the oven The microwave just changes the pastry to dough ugh disgusting Please use the oven for pies!

They don’t change oil in the deep fryer it looks black. The taste of jacked potatoes is disgusting, maybe you should change the supplier. The baby chair was so dirty. Never seen anything like it. Cherry on top - my order was wrong. Never again.

My default chippy. Very tasty and love their Irish curry sauce. Quick and efficient to order online using the 'Click and Collect ' service too.

Super fast service from the front line staff and best fish as always from the Roma shops.

Service is spot-on. Good fish and chips. This time I ask for my fish to be cooked skinless. It was absolutely excellent with fluffy batter. Highly recommended. Update:- This have changed somewhat! 😒

There is a reason why after 50 years, the Roma uphold their proud reputation. The food is always a delight to eat and of course is backed with great service. This of course is a positive CSAT score which of course is a promoter. Devine meal! Happy 50th anniversary to the Roma family. An inspiration.

Bought chips tonight 06/10/2023 at around 18.10pm very over cooked, tasted burnt. Usually lovely but disappointing tonight.

Chips always hit & miss, chips soggy & under cooked, had to put in the air fryer, gave up after 10 mins at 200 degrees. Chip shop but can’t cook chips properly, seems they put quantity over quantity. Not cheap paying for half cooked chips. Sort your act out guys, bring back Mona Lisa 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Great fish and chip restaurant. Service is very fast, the quality of the food is excellent, and the staff are very polite and efficient. It can be hard to find on street parking nearby, but for those who are fully mobile, there are two large, free car parks very nearby.

Not good. Sunday lunch 9th July, placed smelled of drains, pestered by flies and only veg available was parsnip and peas, which we were told after paying!!! Tho later customers were given the veg that had apparently run out!!! Wont be seeing us there again!!! Wasn't cheap either!!!

Had "Sunday lunch" in Gorseinon Roma 09.07.23 What a let down!!! Place smelled of drains and tormented with flies!!! Most vegetables and cauliflower cheese had run out by 2pm and was not informed before paying, although later customers were given the "run out" items!!! 😡 No excuses, A LET DOWN!! Doubt very much we'l visit again. You look after your "regulars" as you clearly did!!!

Chips were under cooked very pale compared to the King's in Pontardulais you need to do something about it

Had 2 cod and 1 portion of chips the fish was tasteless and the chips were soggy it was horrendous and at £18 not a cheap meal

Been wanting to try the Sunday lunch for ages. Today was the day and now I wonder why I waited so long!! It was delicious 😋 cauliflower cheese was amazing and it was all cooked to perfection. Well done team Roma!!! We’ll be back soon. ❤️

Chicken and mushroom curry with half chips half rice is a winner!

Bought some chips to take home after a busy day. The shop was empty when I got there but filled with takeaway customers after a few minutes so they gave me undercooked chips which were disgusting. I'm always happy to wait because food takes time to cook. I won't be eating there again.

Absolutely disgusting…soggy pale fish and undercooked chips, the little girls working in 60/61 High st could not wait to finish at 9pm so at 8.40pm we had the worst fish and chips ever for maximum cost, totally disgusted…

2 people in front of me were told chips wouldn't be long as they were waiting for fresh when I ordered fish and chips , the girl started to give me the few chips mostly scraps left in the tray, I had to tell her I would wait for fresh as I didn't want the left overs which were small end bits. Not the first time this has happened. Also noticed staff are not so friendly.

Called in for Sunday lunch it was lovely, but the people that go in there are terrible a family of gypsies came in the kids were a nightmare running around screaming and shouting, one little boy about 4 or 5 shouted f off it's a shame we were enjoying our lunch until they came in, my husband said he would never go back.

Great take away Sunday lunch, however, the roast beef is being cut with the grain, this makes the beef very tough, the correct way to cut beef is against the grain, I hope they change this soon.

Recieved a warm welcome on entry, food arrived soon after my tea. Tea was hot and just right ; Cod and Chips beautiful with jovial service. Great atmosphere and Neurodivergent friendly. A winner 11/10. First visit of many.

Ordered a meal this evening including 3 pieces of fish. They were freshly cooked and packed into a cardboard box. On the short drive back, less than a mile, where I rested the food on my lap, I got out of the car to what can only be described as BP scale oil slick on my jeans. The food was delicious , however one £70 pair of jeans (despite bring immediately put through a wash) are now consigned to the bin.

Absolutely one big rip off spent over £20 and got a right rubbish deal. Right stingy on chips so thanks for ruining my night. Enjoy your 1 star for your 1 star service and food

What a meal both my wife and i had here last week . I just had to write a review . The man who cooked the food i know was a ginger headed man ,not sure of his name i think i heard someone call him Darran or something like that. He cooked the scampi that my wife had to perfection and i did say to him i liked brown chips, his comment was leave it to me , glad i did . Superb is an understatement . Spot on . Thank you very much . Both of us cleared the plates entirely and will be returning again for another meal very soon Well recommended been here few times and food has always been brilliant but last weeks was a standard never had before . Hope the same man is cooking next time i go . THANK YOU WELL RECOMMENDED. 👍👌👍

Worse fish and chips ever had from there, fish undercooked, chips were overcooked. Service not good had to wait for fish which is OK but please inform the customer they need to wait.

A warm welcome. Excellent Sunday lunch. The beef is wow so is the turkey. All the trimmings. As much gravy as you want. Parsnips wow. Yorkshire pudding wow. Absolute perfection. Accessible toilet

We go to the fish bar a lot it’s really good value for money and the taste is better than any other restaurant that serves fish and chips The fish bar is very clean five stars for hygiene and five stars for taste They also have Sunday dinner that are outstanding and our children love going there it’s a fabulous place to meet up with friends or family I spoke with Nicky and I told him I was doing a Ukraine charity event for children/orphans I asked would he like to help with the buffet and he said yes 💜 He was very busy as you can imagine but he went out of his way to help everyone people said the food was outstanding and there was over 150 people They even stayed at the event on the night to help serve the food we was so overwhelmed They’re really good people and very caring we raised £6000 all together for the charity we are so grateful for their help as they did it absolutely free of charge out of the kindness of their heart Also the fish and chips are amazing the fish is award-winning best chips I’ve ever had 👌

Always good food. Wonderful staff. They are always so pleasant and friendly. We are regulars now.

We're regulars here and will continue to be so as the food is always spot on. My only quibble is the small and large chips seem to overlap depending on who serves. Sometimes (like last night) a large portion is more like a small, other time times the opposite so I either end up with not enough chips or chips left over. This was take out.

It's fish and chips, but a pretty good example. Not been disappointed once. In fact, I would probably not have fish and chips fro anywhere else.
