Brilliant place good atmosphere

Dilly's provided an amazing finger food buffet for my mother-in-law's funeral. Arrived on time and excellent selection of options - lots of food too. We had many comments. Highly recommend.

I was very impressed with the service, the cleanliness and the quality of the food. The steaks are local and cooked to perfection. To top it all, the salad was with a really nice dressing, in some places it’s just a salad leave and that’s it. It’s pleasing to see so much attention to something that is simple to do such as a side salad, yet, so many restaurants get it so wrong. It was very busy and I’m glad I booked as there was no spare tables - and it’s not peak season yet!

What a wonderful find, a little family run restaurant. We ordered two large pizzas and had ice cream for desert which was all fairly priced. Everything is home made, cooked and served by the hosts, what a great team! We were made to feel very welcome during our visit. Well behaved dogs are allowed at the venue, we had ours and she just relaxed under the large table. There are some board and card games for you to play whilst you wait for your food. A nice atmosphere, would go again and highly recommend. They also do take away orders. There are other things to do onsite, as we arrived early we took an hours walk around the woodland.

Called in on a family day out. Can safely say it was the best Sausage, Bacon & Egg sandwich ever! The jacket potatoes were spot on too!

Not sure why we have only just found this restaurant. Exceeded expectation. Lovely flavours and quality ingredients. Prompt & pleasant service. Great value for money. Comfortable and relaxing ambiance. Varied and thoughtful menu selection. Will certainly return. Well done.

We had a lovely breakfast at Lychgate Cottage Tearoom. It is such a nice place, there were fresh flowers on the tables, the food was excellent and the staff are very friendly. We will definitely visit again!

Visited this cafe in July due to trip advisor ratings. We were not disappointed. I opted for the full breakfast which was freshly cooked and very tasty. The young waitress’s were very polite and the whole dining experience was great

Spot on Sunday lunch with all the trimmings excellent (especially the creamed leeks). My chicken was very tender and tasty, Dad's beef was succulent. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for a coffee after visiting nearby castle, and glad we did! Good & simple selection of food. Great value for money. Clean and super friendly. Would recommend.
