Spot on Sunday lunch with all the trimmings excellent (especially the creamed leeks). My chicken was very tender and tasty, Dad's beef was succulent. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommended.

Came to review the Bee and found that all I could do was to pretty much duplicate a previous review. We too had the beef and the lamb, we too thought the vegeatables were exceptional - especially the leeks in cream sauce. The atmosphere was relaxed & the staff were great. We will definitely be eating here again.

Myself, the missus and our son went to The Bee in Eglwysbach for Sunday Lunch as we were told the new owners were doing a great job with the place and we weren’t disappointed. A lovely welcome from Nia & Tom who have transformed the place. The Lunch itself was excellent, Lamb was cooked beautifully as was everything that came with it. Even my lad finished his off which is a rarity as he’s a bit of a fussy eater! Reasonably priced food and drink. I will definitely return as I hear the pizza/quiz night on Wednesdays are the go-to event in the village! Have to give that a go!

A traditional Sunday lunch in a traditional village pub. Six of us visited to celebrate an 80th birthday. The hosts added a lovely ‘happy birthday’ sign to the table and service was polite and friendly. Starters were baked brie, mushroom and Stilton bake and mushroom soup. All delicious. We had a mixture of beef, lamb and chicken for mains - all served with roast and mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and veg. Great gravy and lovely tender meat. If I’m being picky I would say the portions were a little on the small side, especially the chicken, but we would prefer to eat every scrap of good food than a giant plate of average grub. A chocolate fudge cake and a couple of scoops of ice cream were enough for those needing dessert. Price very reasonable and huge thanks to the honest waiter who realised we had left a credit card behind. Much appreciated. There’s not a lot of choice in the area, so thank goodness this place does a cracking Sunday roast! Recommended.

Stopped off here as I staggered along the North Wales Pilgrims Trail. I was a little late but staff were flexible and served up a delicious Sunday lunch...chicken with the trimmings. Several pints of cider and beer quenched a raging thirst. Staff were really helpful and chatty. After walking around 100 miles over a week I can confirm many villages have lost their pubs. It's such a delight to wander into a village to fund one that is open. My thanks to the staff. A real find.

Lovely Gastropub a short drive from Llandudlno, Betwys-y-Coed and Conway, in the lovely quiet village of Eglwysbach. My wife and I were celebrating and staying nearby, so we ate there on a Saturday night. My wife had a beetroot pate and I had belly pork with a Japanese-style sauce. I'm not a beetroot fan, but she loved it and my belly pork was cooked to a crispy perfection. We both went for a rack of lamb from the specials board, which they told us is going to be on the main menu from now on. Cooked rare, it melted in the mouth and had use chewing on the bones. Cheeseboard for me and cake for her were both excellent. Wine list was very reasonable and we had a great Rioja. Very friendly staff and lovely warm and beautifully designed interior, it was a total delight.

What a lovely little place, very quaint and homely and a superb Sunday lunch. As soon as we went in we were welcomed by a lovely girl at the bar. She showed us to our table, explained the menu and promptly served our drinks. Every thing about our lunch at The Bee today was spot on. I had the warm Brie to start which was good and hubby had the belly pork with Hoi Sin and sesame seeds which was absolutely delicious and a very fair sized portion. For main we both had the rare sirloin of beef which literally melted in your mouth, and was served with three different potatoes and a good selection of veg. Everything was nice and hot and the service was warm and friendly. I couldn't manage a dessert but Hubby had the warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, which was presented beautifully. We lived in Eglwysbach 20 years ago and The Bee has certainly come up in the world. We've been twice in recent weeks and enjoyed the hospitality and cooking on both Friday Tapas and Thursday Pie nights. The meat eaters in our family couldn't fault the steak pies we had but the fisherman's pie proved a disappointment, needing to be returned. We noticed it was subsequently taken off the menu. Because we stayed in a Holliday cottage in Eglwysbach and because of the excellent reviews, we decided to eat at Eglwysbach local pub on a Friday night. We suspected it to be busy but that was not the case. Not many eaters, locals at the bar, two somewhat shy tourists (us:)) choosing a table at the window and an even more shy teenage girl being our hostess for the night. Lovely light and cozy interior. Friday night is 'small plates night' like tapas. Apparently most of the nights are themed at The Bee. Wednesday is pizza night with a quiz which we missed unfortunately. Monday and Tuesday they are closed btw. To make a long story short, the food and ales were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. You can taste the ambition and talent of the chefs in their food and we loved it. Unfortunately though we missed dessert on the menu and felt (and were) a bit like outsiders in a lovely local pub for the local community.

The Bee InnWhat a find! It was buzzing! A hive of activity! It was a honey of a place! We were staying locally,in an AirBnB,and found that the family also ran the Bee Inn, just down the road. So why not give it a try? We were so glad that we did. Friday night was "little plate" night, so we had lots of tastes, and shared everything, tapas style. Mark was slaving away behind the scenes, while his mum,Lynne ensured that the clientele were happy and comfortable. We think that other members of the family were working equally as hard, but hadn't been introduced, so could only guess. After thoroughly enjoying the ambience and the meal, we spotted a plaque over the mantle, stating that they had been awarded Gold award from the Welsh Tourist board.Richly deserved. Much luck in all your future endeavours, you all deserve it!Lynne and KeithWorcester

The value for what we were served at our table was unbelievable. They served local real ale too and the locals had left a list of their favourite tipples along with their marks awarded out of 10 for each.. We also noticed the attention to detail the owner had gone to make his customers comfortable. Even down to having blankets available for those who found it cold in the outside tables.
