Dilly's kitchen in Swansea

Went to a social occasion where the food was supplied by Dilly's. Everybody there loved the food. I had homemade cawl which was delicious. I recommend them

Over the last seven years it has been my joy to be a regular eating at Dillys Kitchen for tasty quality food. The staff are excellent and they enjoy seeing our thanks for their dedication and service. Cannot recommend more highly.

Due to their abysmal choice for vegitarians i chose the goats cheese baguette ,£4.40 when advertised as £3.30 ? Absolutely the worst goatscheese i have ever tasted in a brown baguette not offered a choice absolutely dreadfull

I was passing time in Sketty when my nose picked up lovely cooking smells. Following it, I came across Dilly’s. Had a breakfast baguette, brilliant. All staff were very welcoming and engaged in chat. On my list for next time I’m in Sketty.

Food here is something else, I can’t compare it to any other place. All fresh and home cooked, could eat from here everyday.

Dilly’s catered an event that I attended this weekend. They did lunch on Saturday and Sunday for us. We were treated to chicken curry, jacket potato’s with various fillings, lamb cawl, leek and potato soup, quiches, salads, cakes and mini cheese cakes. The food was delicious. Super fresh and they put little allergen cards on each dish so everyone could see what was what. I hope they cater for us again as it was fantastic. Thank you.

Popped in today and ordered a beef jalapeño and Welsh cheddar role. Which was not on the menu. My order was met and was exceptional. Wish I ordered 3 of them great staff ill be back.

Purchased the Homemade Corned Beef Pie and Creamy Cheese Potato and Leeks . Absolutely delicious and portion was generous and big enough for two people . Will definitely beback soon for more x

Food was fine, but bloke was quite impatient and a little rude, seemed to want to get us out. Also all food was handled with bare hands instead of gloves. Baguettes took a while to make and didn't charge us until the end so we were standing around in the way of other customers for a long time. Apparently the tomato pesto baguette was nice, but the goats cheese onion baguette was too sweet. Also expected them to be warm, but that's nitpicking. Price seemed fair for what it was. £4.40 per baguette.

The salad box is my go to. Lots of options and super tasty. I’ve been coming here a while and always had friendly service from the staff. Definitely recommend if in the area.

Really fresh food. Ordered two baguettes and they were made fresh. Decent prices. If parking were better I think I'd go a lot more often.

Had a takeaway from this very popular establishment.. We had the cawl which came with a baguette. The food was delicious and had real home cooked quality. Recommend as a tasty, healthier takeaway !

Absolutely delicious food, great service. Dilly's prepared some take away hot food for me for a event. Mike, Debs, Tom, Non and the staff were fantastic. They listened to what I wanted, made suggestions on what they could do and gave me an indication of cost. The food was ready for me in good time, and bang on budget. Eat in or takeaway, hot or cold, buffet or set menu - Dilly's is the place to go.

Had beautiful food yesterday at a friend's wake supplied by this company it was outstanding

All perfect until i left a message on there pop up message page asking me to phone which i did - they couldnt hear me and told me to use another phone????????????? (very rde) was going to order for xmas but the lady i spoke to said we are sold out for xmas dinners its the 16th November how can you be sold out????????????????? she put the phone down on me. Wanted to collect two dinners and a buffet on 21st December to take to my holiday cottage etc but after putting phone down - wont be ordering

Been having these delivered to us through lockdown and still do, £2 delivered or you can collect very tasty and plentiful ,just ring up and pay over the phone .

Tried a take out Sunday lunch for the first time and it won’t be the last. Very tasty, good value, quality food .

We used Dilly’s kitchen to cater for a surprise 70th birthday garden party we were having on bank holiday weekend. I couldn’t recommend highly enough. The process ordering and deciding on menu was friendly, simple and really flexible. We had a gorgeous spread of roast meats, quiche’s , salads, pasta , rice etc and it was all absolutely lovely. Everything was top quality and looked/tasted home made. All of our guests were commenting on just how lovely the food was. Thanks so much and look forward to using you again in the future.

I really wanted to try this place. I saw it before. I tried lasagna with salad. Very tasty,I really enjoyed my meal, and filling. Very polite and atent staff. 10 out of ten. Very good value for money. Quick, quality and cheap,considering that is handmade food

We had a small buffet delivery for a funeral. The service and food quality was outstanding. The food, particularly the salmon, was so fresh. Everyone was so complimentary. Thank you Dillys for making a difficult day so much easier.

Searching for a take away on line but didn’t overly fancy ‘fast food’ I saw this place on trip advisor and the reviews were good. I popped in lunch time and had 3 beef lasagnes, 1 vegetarian lasagne and a large salad (which you can choose what they put in it) the portions were very good sizes and tasty. Salad was a great size too. So to feed 4 adults lasagne and salad (shared large box) it was £28 which we thought was really good value. Tiny but lovely shop, great food and super friendly staff. We would all visit again.

Went to Dilly"s as a treat after my sons first day at college. I'm Coeliac vegetarian and as I hadn't booked ahead, was just hoping they could make me something. The young man serving was so lovely and helpful with a big smile on his face. What a delightful young mann. The other two people there were also very welcoming. My son had a panini meal deal with crisps and drink which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had a jacket potato with goats cheese, red onion and rocket with side salad. It was absolutely delicious. We had chocolate cake to take away, including a gf brownie.😊😊 All very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this beautiful little cafe

Been treating myself to visits to Dilly's for a while now, always a friendly welcome, lovely staff, wholesome home cooked food and superb coffee, love it! Try the Sunday lunch, go on, treat yourself!

I ordered a buffet luncheon this week for a milestone family birthday, all arranged online and by phone. Dilly's Kitchen/Busy Bees were the only company I found locally which would deliver the type of food appropriate for the occasion. Their menu offered a range of choices, reasonably priced, the delivery was spot on time, and the reports from all the guests were most complimentary about the food being fresh, delicious and ample. The staff I spoke to and emailed were very helpful, obliging and responded promptly. Thank you for helping to make the event a success.

Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We ordered two take away Afternoon High teas to celebrate our anniversary during lockdown, 1 vegetarian box and one for a picky meat eater 🙄 Eac box contained: 3 sandwiches with different fillings, a homemade sausage roll, a small quiche, a mini surprise pie, crisps, a slice of lemon drizzle cake, a scone with clotted cream & jam, a mini Victoria sponge, a slice of Bara brith with Welsh butter, Mini banoffee pie, a slice of chocolate brownie and a 'Tea Pig' tea bag. Packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with a clear film window, presented in a way that make them ideal to give as a gift. We were so keen to tuck in we forgot to take a photo of them 🤦🏻‍♀️ All of the items were delicious and all looked and tasted home made. It took us two days to work through all the food! The picky meat eater was especially pleased to have been so well catered for. We will be recommending to friends and family 😊

This place is a shining example of excellent quality home cooked food. Not your usual cafe/restaurant as it is small inside but don't let that put you off going. Whether you stay in or take away, you can be assured of a selection of tasty, well prepared food cooked by and served by very friendly staff. The roast dinners are better than my mothers, I have never been disappointed. The cakes and cheesecakes are to die for. Don't miss this little pearl of a place. You won't be disappointed.

I have been ordering meals for an isolated older person who has been unable to go out during the pandemic and for a special treat her family also ordered a cream tea which I was lucky enough to enjoy with her. All of the food has been fantastic quality home cooked food that is very reasonably priced. The meals and cream tea were all very generously sized and sufficient enough to make another meal.It was all delivered to her door free of charge for a modest minimum spend. The service has been fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for the Dillys Kitchen team, The recipient especially appreciated the upbeat delivery person who always took the time to pause and chat at a safe distance which meant a lot to someone who has been isolated for so long. Well done all you have provided a very welcome service during a very difficult few months.

This was an amazing assortment of tasty bits and pieces, rangng from chunky ham sandwiches to scotch eggs, kebabs and everything in between till scone jam and cream, bara brith, cheese cake and fruit . Wow a Father's Day to remember.

Passed this little cafe, kitchen many times but never gone in to try , covid 19 they offered on the media a range of food to be picked up or free delivery, thought we would try the Sunday lunch , delivered on the sat, but now they offer it on a Sunday, the food is put in to a lovely container all separate for meat and vegetables, there is a lot of it and five vegetables included and separate container for the gravy ,clear instructions to heat it up ,as you can’t put the container in the microwave or oven, very tasty, and service on phone and upon delivery is excellent, they advertise on the website of daily specials they do, well done for your great service throughout covid 19 ,or the salads are lovely to ,hopefully the service may continue when all this is over , supporting the local business is priority.

We were lucky enough to be treated to a high tea delivery today - it was outstanding. Great variety of sweet and savouries, generous portions and all of it delicious. There was even some left over for tomorrow! It’s great to see small companies like Dilly’s taking the initiative to find ways to keep open during the current problems. Well done and thank you.

During the current lockdown I have been buying regular takeaways from Dilly's. I cannot fault the quality of the food. I have bought everything from salads,pies and curries through to full dinners as well as superb desserts. I have yet to be disappointed. Many thanks for keeping me going

I've picked up a couple of dinners this afternoon, it's my first time visiting for a couple of years. Dinners were amazing, very healthy portions, excellent desserts in the 2 course deal. Staff are excellent, working so hard to deliver an excellent service. Even remembered what my son likes to eat (it's been around 18 months since we've been in as I've moved to a different part of the city)Highly recommended

Had our first meal today from Dilly’s. Free delivery as we both have to self isolate. Lovely meal which we both really enjoyed. As my wife thinks she is more at risk from my cooking than Coronavirus we shall definitely be ordering again! Can’t recommend highly enough.

My family and I went to Dilly’s Kitchen for breakfast. We ordered the large breakfast and toast. The food tasted beautiful. We also ordered the corn beef hash to take home which tasted beautiful!

I visited my son in Swansea, and offered to take him for lunch (mum's treat). He could have chosen a fancy restaurant in the town centre, but he wanted to bring me here. Although it looks like a small café from the outside, it’s a real treat to spend a leisurely lunch here. Fresh (we watched the soup being made), wholesome food, gentle, friendly banter with the staff and customers, a mouth-watering selection of home - made cakes, and substantial meals, sold in portion sizes for customers to take home and heat up for the evening. Reasonably priced too. A real pleasure to eat here, and I'd need to go back many times to exhaust the choices on the menu.

Heard good things so thought I'd try it out.Ordered a fish pie. It wasnt a Fish Pie, it was a Pea Pie.Oh my days, so many peas! Mashed potato on a bed of peas.It was like a game of Wheres Wally, only instead of trying to find Wally, you had to find a piece of fish in a sea of peas.After I'd picked out the two tiny pieces of fish, all I had left was a crust of mashed potato, some bland cheese sauce and, oh god, so many peas.Also had the leek and potato bake. This was borderline acceptable, but at least it didnt have any peas in it.All in all, very poor - unless you like peas, in which case, fill your boots.With peas.

This friendly cafe was recommended by our friend who lives in Sketty. We had a delicious bacon butty made fresh. There was a variety of other foods available to eat in or takeaway. The lady who served us was very friendly.

I ordered a buffet for 60 from Dilly's and everyone praised the standard of the food and the quantity.I have bought ready meals, quiches and cakes all of which have been totally delicious.The salad bar is also very good.Gluten free food also available.All the packaging is recyclable and even better you can bring your own container to be filled with delicious food.

Dealing with the staff at Dilly’s was a pleasure and the buffet food for 50+ people was excellent, it arrived on time, was presented and set up beautifully at our home and for a reasonable charge. I would highly recommend

Dillys kitchen externally catered for 82 of our friends and family at our wedding. We had eaten there a few times prior and we had faith in their ability. Our faith was rewarded. 82 happy people were exceptionally well fed as a result of their professionalism and great cooking skills. Amazing food, courteous staff and nothing too much trouble for them. Lovely people, great food. Having moved to Sketty cross recently I just wish they could understand that they have residential neighbours and could try to be quieter when opening up at 5am, especially if on a weekend. Ok some noises are expected, but the slamming and banging at that time is very impolite to say the least. At first I thought they was a burglary nearby. Ive been told by others living here that it has been mentioned too staff but to no avail. I'm sure if myself and other close neighbours were to play very loud music throughout the daytime, of which we are fully entitled, it would impact upon your cafes relaxing ambiance. Just a thought.

I’m a regular of this place and only now am I writing a review, it’s criminal.

Buy chance I went to Dilly's Kitchen in sketty. I think I walked into the happiest cafe in the area, the staff were all happy chatting to customers each other and myself. I got a feeling that they could be family. I couldn't pick so I was given a breakfast baguette with an extra egg, when asked what sauce I said salad cream as it goes with everything a member of staff agreed with me so that gets an extra point for that ha ha.

I love going here a couple of times a month for lunch. All the food is home made it's a pleasure to sit and have a delicious sandwich, an Americano and a slice of Victoria sandwich.

Called in before a meeting. Ladies behind the counter were busy serving so started to wait. Up popped the owner (I guess) who promptly took my order and told me to grab a seat.

We were passing and picked up two slices of corned beef pie. They were huge so, when we got home, we shared one and saved one. Delicious as always. It is a pity that there isn't a larger seating area.

Dilly's is just around the corner from us and we regularly visit for a quick bite of lunch or a yummy cake. We've also used them for their catering services for family events and they've been excellent.

i cant eat anything unless organic so it would be nice for more places in swansea to go orgnic because i cant find any except 1

I have visited twice now with my 3 year old daughter and I have to say I was really impressed and spoilt for choice. The pies, cakes, lasagne not to mention the sandwiches all looked amazing! I can’t comment on all but the goats cheese and caramelised onion quiche, corned beef pie and the rhubarb crumble cake were all delicious! The service was flawless, everyone was so friendly and accommodating it made me feel very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again and try out more of their delicious homemade food! If you arrive at this little haven of calm by chance (as I did) you just have to eat their mushroom and brocolli pies. I even took some home with me. Lovely and clean, welcoming - typical village type cafe.

Was walking past and just had to pop in as I noticed the corned beef pie through the window. We ended staying for a coffee and a tea (both very nice) and enjoying a chat with Amy and Tom. I had a slice of pie to take away along with a slice of goats cheese and caramelised red onion quiche and a slice of victoria sponge - they were all superb. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely love Dilly’s kitchen. Pies are incredible and their cheesecakes are to die for. Also love the selection of baguette fillings and salad. Owners are lovely and always try and accommodate you. Would recommend to everyone.

I used to come to the cafe when I lived in the area all the time! Now unfortunately after moving away, not so much however I do return whenever I’m in the area. The food is home cooked and taste delicious! You can even get take out. Highly recommend

Nice to have straight forward, passionately cooked, traditional food. Love their quiches, great salad options and delicious cakes every now and then. Easy place to sit in or buy lunch to take with.

Small kitchen cafe with only 3 tables. Wide range of food available, old school cafe feel to the place with its set up and service. Enjoyed our Paninis of which we were able to choose as many of our own fillings as we wanted.
