This little gem is amazing! Must check before visiting as not always open and not always doing food but has a fine reputation for Sunday carvery. Cosy inside with a mix of seating and an array of great ciders as well as a local ale on draught and other lagers.

Recently reopened and refreshed, this inn is a family-owned place with a warm family feel to it - from the staff to the local customers. We stayed for a night and wouldn't hesitate to return when in the area again as we felt welcome and cared for. The room was super clean and cosy with all the amenities and en suite bathroom, plus full breakfast included in the price. In the world of Airbnb's, the more traditional and almost outdated inn room of this standard is a rare find!

I visited the Brunant on Sunday 23 June for a carvery lunch, with my sister and brother-in-law who both live locally and are regulars. It was my first visit, and I was impressed with the quality of the food. The lunch was extremely tasty, with a wide selection of vegetables and three meats to choose from. The desserts were amazing! The pub itself is lovely, with friendly staff and clientele and great ambience. Fantastic value for money too! Highly recommended.

This is a lovely local pub. We go for a Sunday lunch here fairly regularly. The carvery is extremely popular and you need to book to ensure you get a table. Food is of a very good quality and the staff are friendly. It's a place in the middle of nowhere, ideal for a countryside getaway. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas if you're into the outdoors. They offer rooms here, so a good base to start your Welsh adventure.

Very tasty food & excellent choice for children, to top it off I also had the white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake which again was amazing! All staff were brilliant & I will definitely be coming back! Thank you!

This is a traditional family run pub and restaurant in a small village deep in rural Wales. Be warned, you will need a sat-nav or a very good map to find it, but it is well worth the effort. As one might expect, there is real ale on tap, usually from a local small brewery, and a pint is a good accompaniment to studying the menu. It would be wise to check what is being served before booking a table, as there are different specialties on different nights - for example, steak nights, Indian, Chinese or Caribbean themed nights, or low cost nights with limited menu. The food is freshly cooked, and is tasty and filling. Having had dinner last week, we returned for there Sunday Lunch carvery on Easter Sunday. Prices were again very reasonable, with a choice of three joints of meat (or all three!) and a wide range of vegetables. This is not fine dining, but good home cooking, and all the better for it. Strongly recommended.

I should have wrote this review a few months ago I apologise to the owners. On a holiday tour through Wales booked in here for 2 nights with my partner. Owners and staff could not do enough for us, even though when I booked on line for 1 when it should have been for 2 they corrected it no problem. Tucked well away this place is a little gem. Clean, and friendly staff, and the food, you would have to travel far and wide to get better. A small menu but the quality of the food was excellent. Although a pub with letting rooms, the big attraction is the meals. If this place was closer to a large town or city you would have to book at least 1 month in advance to get a table it would be that popular. We will be back

Having arrived at 12.20pm approx. 10 minutes before opening time for lunch orders,we were met by a staff member who told us that he had "things to do" and was not interested in allowing us to sit in the bar with a drink, and wait until lunch orders were being taken. As far as he was concerned we could sit in the car and wait! We had traveled for over an hour to reach this isolated hostelry only to find a totally inflexible host. The food is reputed to be acceptable, but we shall never know as we have no intention of returning, even if we are on time. There are excellent pubs/restaurants in the area which are much easier to reach and do a better job of welcoming guests and providing first class meals with a 'free smile'. We ended up at the Goose and Cookoo in Llangadog --a worthwhile experience.

We don't get to visit caio as much as we once did but again we had great food, a warm welcome as ever and a very enjoyable meal. The pub has lots of different food theme nights so worth finding them on Facebook to see what's going on. Can't beat the real ale that's actually looked after properly, fantastic pint. Great pub... (Already posted in error on hotel entry, repeating here as we only ate there) A proper pub in a village, warm, welcoming, lively, all ages eating. My eating out is often blighted by veggie partner being disappointed yet again by UK pub veggie offerings. Not here! All dishes, including veggie ones are home cooked and very good - she even said it was lush! My Caerphilly lamb was likewise.Only downsides, lamb was cooked slightly more than I ordered and they have no alcohol free beer (not much call for it, I guess!). High quality, great welcome, excellent cooking.

We went to dinner at The Brunant Arms when staying at Llasawel near Landeilo. Myself and my husband and beef rib - it was the most amazing bit of beef I've ever eaten. So well cooked and the gravy and flavours were divine. The kids had the fish and chip special which was really well cooked too. As for the Sticky Toffee pudding - divine! It was fab value too at approx £55 for 5 of us. It's well worth a visit - try to book if you can. It's tucked away but a really warm welcome awaits you.

Went for food at the Brunant on a Friday night and it was very busy. It was fish and chips night, so we had a place of the most wonderful fish, home made chips, peas and tarter sauce. We visited here on the 12-2-15 as a family of 5.Had 5 mains and 3 desserts plus some drinks and spent around £70 which is great value. Food was gorgeous. Nicely presented and enough of it :) Chris was really lovely and had a chat to us, whilst man'ing the bar and kitchen. Spoke to some locals and had a game of pool and darts too. We were staying in a local lodge so didn't stop over. Had a specials board out and Sunday dinner was starting soon and sounded great. We plan to come back to the area in Summer and will pop back in here :) Great pub and lovely people. A must :) x

The service was slow. Coffee weak Salad was giant bowl of tasteless lettuce with a piece of what looked like carpet fluff in. tiny bits of cumberandpeppers. Falafel shop brought. Pavlova was a meringue nest frozen berry's defrosted and mushy with scoop of ice cream and artificial cream on top. Not a Pavlova! I also went end Nov. And had better service. But the chicken peri peri burger was dry and tasteless. My sister had scampi complete with 2 x chicken nuggets in! Good job she's not pescatarian.

Looks like the Neuadd Arms is closed for the forseeable future as although you can book a reservation on the website, when you call the pub the answerphone tells you that the pub is closed. Just saying. Quite normal for Wales to have total lack of communication as it would have been good to know before setting off and arriving at a locked door.
