Absolutely amazing food in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was attentive but not intrusive. I had the goats cheese tart, pheasant and bara brith all of which was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. I can see why the bara brith is award winning. Husband had spicy tomato soup, 15 hour braised beef and Bakewell tart none of which he could fault. Such a great place for amazing food and service at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back.

A truly delicious meal from beginning to end. I had mushroom pithivier to start, pressed lamb belly, and bara brith for dessert. I really didn't want any of it to end. The restaurant offers a lovely cosy atmosphere with great lighting.

Brilliant night with my family and my 86 year old Mum,busy but not too noisy as my Mum is partially deaf. Food was great, service with an energetic smile...certainly recommend the scallops...notice the plural, you only get one 😉 the broth is amazing though so let that one slide. Brisket v good, the star was the chicken Kiev roulade. Definitely worth a visit.

I had been waiting to try Iâl for a while, and I wasn’t disappointed. We arrived and were greeted by two young men who made our dining experience extremely comfortable and pleasant. The drinks arrived quickly and we ordered the Sunday roast beef, Sunday chicken the bass and the cauliflower cheese as a side dish. All of our mains were superb. The beef was tender and perfectly pink, the Yorkshire pudding was crispy and was the perfect aid to mop up the delicious gravy. The bass was full of flavour and perfectly cooked, and the dish was flavoursome but light. We ordered brownies, Bakewell blondies and Eton mess for dessert. All desserts were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We live locally and will definitely become regulars of this fantastic restaurant! Ardderchog!

Lovely dining space, really friendly staff and great food. Convenient parking, relaxing ambience and not too busy. I've been for Sunday lunch and a few evening meals and both are nice but I think I prefer the atmosphere in the evening.

We came for afternoon tea. Unfortunately due to an error they had missed this on the booking but couldn’t have been more accommodating and ensured we could still enjoy an afternoon tea at a moments notice. The food was delicious, staff were excellent and the decor of the restaurant was lovely. Price was excellent. We would definitely return.

Moved back to Whitchurch recently thought we would give it a try, Well driving up the drive we wasn't sure it was open no lights on the long driveway The table we sat at needed wiping the waitress didn't even notice it I had the burger which I must admit it was really really nice and at 13 quid was very reasonable My wife had the salmon which was a massive let down nearly 17 quid a small piece of salmon with potatoes and veg (which was about 5 pieces of broccoli and nothing else ) As for the drinks very expensive

Nice food, but nothing special for a Christmas meal, delay in clearing the table between main meal and desert. Also quick to say we had a two hour slot when their delay. Hence 4 star and not 5 Paid in full before we went and they were happy to give refunds for those that couldn’t come minus £5 deposit so this was excellent service.
