Good food, table service via the app, good variety of beer. Let down by screaming g kids running around a very crowded pub at breakfast time, think half of Wrexham was in that day

Some good bands are performing and lovely staff, but some of the regulars are moody and come off like they own the place and it completely kills the vibe of the place and makes you feel like an outcast anytime you go in

First impressions were very good, soon went down hill when I was accosted by some locals on substances. Saving grace was the red stripe. Once we got settled we noticed the acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked politely wether the best guitarist in Wordsley could play it for 10 minutes, she was very rude and nonchalant and pretended not to hear me. Baring in mind someone was playing the piano like a toddler. I came out feeling dishevelled and a shadow of my former self. Still scarred mentally but taking steps to recover, this review being the first of which. Is it because we’re foreign??? They claim to be Welsh and can’t even translate what’s written on the walls. Pitiful. Discrimination is not what we expect from our neighbours.

Visited the weekend of the AUOB Cymru march & rally and visited Friday & Saturday night. A variety of live music from traditional Welsh folk to rock. A pub proud to promote Wales and their history, traditions, cultures & language. Made very welcome and if anyone wants to discuss the current political scene in Wales then this is also the place to go.

Went there to watch a local band, who I must say we're very good. But o m g the toilets 😍🤮🤮🤮 all I can say is. The smell hits you like a dead fish as you walk up to them,. Cant understand why they just don't clean them? If they leave the toilets in that state what is the cellar like, the ale tasted ok !!!!! but after going to the toilets it put me right off, told one of the staff about them, she just laughed and said it's something you just put up with,. WTF ,no girl you don't , ever heard of bkeach??? Well obviously not, shame it could be a nice place, it's not in the center but still such a shame dirty bogs- dirty pub

My first visit to Saith Seren and possibly my last. There was a group on (Fractions) and they were excellent and created a great atmosphere from an appreciative audience many of whom joined in the dancing. However , there can surely no excuse for running out of real ale on a Saturday night. Even if the local breweries could not help I am sure they could have acquired a barrel from another local pub.

Wales v Scotland game. What a fantastic atmosphere! Always a nice welcoming pub, it becomes a Mecca for rugby fans during the six nation's. National anthem, hymns and airias, sung lustilly (and very, very well). Brilliant Welsh ales and lagers. It's without doubt THE place to be for a Welsh international. The picture I've put up will give you a flavour of what it's like. It's easy to sum up in one word though.......BRILLIANT!

Its always nice popping in here for a drink or a bite to eat, but its the best place in town for Welsh rugby matches! I love being able to order my drinks in my native tounge of Welsh. Its fantastic to here the Welsh language so strong here as Wrexham is a proud Welsh town the language isnt the spoken one. Long may saith seren continue. Diolch yn fawr.

One of my easiest reviews to do. Sum this place up in one word.... Brilliant! Bilingual or just English speaking, a very warm welcome awaits you here. It has all the best bits of old fashioned community pubs mixed up with modern decor and a fabulous selection of drinks. In my opinion it has the best kept 'Brains Black' outside of Cardiff. A visit is thoroughly recommended

Great to have somewhere like this in Wrexham. Friendly, comfortable place where food is good and reasonably priced - and somewhere a little of the Welsh Heritage of Wrexham can be nurtured. I have also been to a music night here when they had a Welsh group performing and it was very good. I would definitely recommend for a casual, relaxing lunch.

Saith Seren is a community run pub which hosts various events (bands, poets, talks etc) it has a strong Welsh focus and promotes the Welsh language but doesn't exclude anyone, you usually hear a mix of Welsh and English. The staff are very friendly and accommodating - the food is excellent also!

I have been using the meeting rooms at the Saith Seren to deliver training courses for several months. The room hire rates are very competitive and there is a kitchen available for making hot drinks. We always have lunch in the bar and on every occasion the participants have complimented the quality of the food and how friendly and efficient the service was. Importantly (as I pay!!) the value for money is exceptional for such a high standard of home cooking. I must add that although I am English and unable to speak a word of Welsh, this has made no difference at all to the hospitality I always receive and the friendly welcome given. The Saith Seren should be justifiably proud of its efforts to promote and develop the Welsh culture but no-one is excluded so please don’t be put off if you don’t speak the language.

Visited for lunch with my young daughter on a Saturday. Was quite quiet yet welcoming with a few people sat enjoying lunch, a small group playing pool and a few enjoying a pint. As a fluent Welsh speaker to be able to confidently be served in my first language is very welcomed in Wrexham. The barmaid was very professional and helpful. Food arrived within a very reasonable time scale showing it was fresh and not reheated. Tasted absolutely lovely with plenty of it. Was also very reasonably priced - would have expected to pay more for that kind of quality.

Although not a welsh speaker myself I do live in Wrexham and love that this local centre supports and celebrates the welsh culture. The community pub serves locally sourced food (and Wrexham Larger!) The first time we went on a Saturday during lunchtime as a family of seven and got a free child meal with every adult meal. The home cooked food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We have been a few times since and the service and food have been just as good each time. Really good value for money.

Saith Seren serves the most delicious fish & chips, really fresh haddock, crisp light batter, tasty home-made chips and scrummy mushy peas I really do recommend this friendly pub and its lovely grub. The staff are delightful and the homely atmosphere is so pleasant. I live in Wales but am an infrequent visitor to Wrexham but visited on Saturday for the Wrexham Festival. Lots going on and a great day out, one of the highlights being a meal at moderately priced and excellent value Saith Seren.

Just returned from Wrexham after having a lovely meal in the Saith Seren (Welsh) or Seven Stars (English) Chester Street. It was an absolute delight the food was excellent,my hubby had the fish and chips and I had tuna fish cakes with salad. It was home made cooking brought cooked fresh from the kitchen, the meal itself was presented nicely and made your mouth water just to look at it.Needless to say our meal was accompanied with our choice of drink from behind the bar which caterers for the individual or if you like tea or coffee. The cleanliness of the Saith Seren is to be commended we could not wish for better, the staff are friendly and helpful, it's a very homely place to enjoy a meal at lunchtime with friends or family.Thank to all at Saith Seren we will be back. The food at Saith Seren is sourced locally and there is no meal on the menu over £6 which is a bargain. I had the Steak and Ale Pie with chips and veg. The Pie was huge made with Brains Beer and there were plenty of home made chips as well as the local veg. I also had a half pint of Wrexham Lager, and wished I had asked for a pint ,but I was going to drive! Wrexham Lager has a long tradition but has only recently been brewed again at Wrexham after the original brewery was closed some years ago. The rights to the name "Wrexham Lager" was kept thanks to the forsight of a local MP. Saith Seren is run by a cooperative of Wrexham people and the upstairs will be used as a Welsh Cultural Centre. However you do not have to speak Welsh to enjoy the Saith Seren! The building itself is also interesting since it was built in the Arts and Craft Style of the last century and has kept it's charm. I found the staff very welcoming to everybody and they are all bilingual - so if you want a taste of real Welsh food and culture this is the place to visit.
