Was over from Northern Ireland visiting friends who live in the nearby area last week, the food was absolutely beautiful and the two ladies who run the business couldn’t have been any nicer, friendly atmosphere, great service and amazing food. The menu had lots to offer. I went for the ‘Salt & Chilli Chicken’ and it was absolutely delicious and the Caramel Apple Pie was phenomenal! We all will definitely be back on our next visit over, thanks again everyone 😊

Friendly welcome, lovely atmosphere and delicious food.

A small local restaurant with a small but perfectly formed menu. Everything we had was delicious. Perfect for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. Staff were friendly and attentive and offered advice / suggestions for both the food and wine. About a 15 minute walk from the centre of Edinburgh and also on the tram line in the direction of New Haven / Leith

Exquisite food and drink with a friendly atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend enough. The savour dishes were fresh and innovative and the desserts were delicious.

Wow! What a hidden gem! Easily accessible (husband in a wheelchair), amazing food (those onion rings!😍), friendly service. Had to ask for a doggy bag for the leftovers. We will definitely be back.

We had an excellent lunch at the Loft. Nice food and good service served by the owners. Starters and main s all good and well presented and very tasty.

A warm and friendly welcome when we arrived. The newly refurbished rooms are done to a very high standard. The complimentary dram and truffles are a lovely touch. The food is excellent we had the pigeon starter, I had the fish of the day, some of the best seafood ever. My wife had the venison again it was exceptional. I just about managed to fit in the Guinness cake and ice cream to finish.

My husband and I had an evening meal at The Smithy with a couple of friends on Saturday evening. The meal was excellent, as was the welcome and the service. The menu was imaginative and the atmosphere was very good. We would certainly eat there again if in the area and would thoroughly recommend it.

Just stopped off in passing for a coffee and scone. Excellent. Not one of the oversized scones that you often find nowadays. Very friendly and welcoming. Nice selection of gifts available too many of which are locally made. Will definitely be back.
