My friend and I visit the Undercroft every week for coffee and scones and are always made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff. There's normally 3 different types of scones to choose from and a variety of cakes. The scones are delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient and work hard. They also serve delicious soup, sandwiches etc. all very reasonably priced. Pop in I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Gem of a cafe under a church where they help people with special needs skills to help them in society. The scones were delicious and very reasonably priced as were the sandwiches. Early start from Aberdeen, so looking for somewhere in the George Street area for brunch/lunch that was quiet & would not be 'typical Edinburgh prices'. Saw the billboard on the church steps so thought I'd give it a go. Small but interesting menu, & sandwich prices not that much more than what you'd pay at a supermarket, but so much better - loads of filling & made to order. Lovely ladies (volunteers?) looking after customers, & everyone there was very friendly. The home baking looked delicious, so a return visit when I come back with a friend who just loves 'a cuppa & a fine piece' is a must.

With the embellishments of Cheese/Tomatoes/salad or Mustard and Ketchup, the food was piping hot and spot on for the Boys appetites. Drinks and crisps were also available. The café made for a good venue for the Boys - enough space without being too crowded and rounded off a good night. Will return in future for lunch or coffee as a good value menu on offer and very central.
