Great food, short ribs was fab, monk fish was lovely. The pudding was nice and starters were great too. Cocktails were only 6.50 before 6 and a tenner after... very good value. The portions are sensible, if you're a big eater get 3 courses ;)

Just left DINE, on a city break and booked here as hubbies birthday. Service was really super and the staff were so kind with a glass of complimentary fizz and even a candle in hubbies Pud. Fab value and food on set menu. Great food to end our last night in lovely Edinburgh, thank you team Dine!

Love this place. Wine and dine is excellent value for money. Staff work hard and are friendly and knowledgeable. Bpok a table at the bar afterwards for lingering. Recommended.

Dine Edinburgh is a large, contemporary restaurant on Cambridge Street. It is on the first floor above the Traverse theatre and is well located for eating before a visit here or the Usher Hall.  Indeed, there is a pre-theatre menu which has a good range of choices. The lighting is low key and it is decorated with artificial plants with a small tree at one end. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices of Monk Fish and Duck Breast. This was accompanied by glasses of a lovely Merlot. Our meal was nicely finished off with Pannacotta and Chocolate Pot. Service was excellent and we were well looked after by Tammy.

An excellent place to eat. I had smoked haddock starter which had real smoke taste. Partner had starter scallops cooked to perfection. I had venison, exceptionally tender with raspberry sauce. The whole chilli in syrup was fiery and unusual, loved it. Partner had cooked perfectly hake. We drank a bottle of white, had desserts (not quite as good). Absolutely great place for a more special dinner, good value outstanding cooking.

Excellent service, warm and inviting atmosphere, food was perfect. Thoroughly recommend for anyone in Edinburgh looking for great food and at a reasonable price. Ideal location, especially if you're attending a show at the Usher hall.

My friend chose a starter that she did not lije but there was a member of staff coming round asking about our food she noticed that my friend was leaving the starter. My friend said there was nothing wrong with the food she just did not lije it and it was her fault for making a wring choice. The member of staff asked her to pick another starter and for me that was 20 out of 10. Will definitely be back

Dine Edinburgh offers a pleasant dining experience with a nice ambiance and good service. The food was tasty (especially the pot roasted pheasant), but nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. Also relatively many things were missing from the menu that evening. Some dishes felt overpriced for what they offered (like the oysters and the loin of venison). Nonetheless, it’s a lovely spot for a fine dining evening, and I’d recommend it for the overall experience.

I got the fish and thought the meal was just ok. Very bland and almost no flavor. Service started out great and then our waitress left so we got a new person. Had to ask for more water 3 times. My fiancés got the chicken and thought her meal was much better

Bar service, pre Christmas Theatre. 2 x 4 different Cocktails were excellent and our choices, spot on, a special thank you to Shae & Alfie, mixologist and assistant for their brilliant service and humour at the end of a probably very long day for them with the restaurant full. Went on Dec 22 2024 at 8:00pm and we were so disappointed about the food. The risotto was so salty we couldn’t even continue after our first bite. I was also looking forward to the venison cuz there were so many good reviews about this. However it came out so overcooked that it’s already well past well-done.

We visited here for dinner on Saturday evening. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and created an exceptional atmosphere. The starters of rabbit and scallops were excellent. Followed by venison which again exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately they had sold out of the crème brulé so we opted for chocolate tart, which was also excellent. We will be visiting again soon. Thanks to the staff for a great evening.

Phenomenal food with outstanding service and excellent atmosphere. The best place I went to eat whilst visiting Edinburgh definitely. Would always recommend for couples or groups of friends.

Dine was not as good as I expected it to be. Mains came before our starters were done. Food was mediocre. When mentioning it to the staff there wasn’t much response. We did appreciate the manager apologizing for it afterwards.

Excellent menu that changes monthly. One can view it on the website. Service is impeccable. Care is always taken to confirm any allergies. Dine has become our 'go to ' restaurant for our pre-theatre lunch or evening meal. Do make sure to make a booking to avoid disappointment.

My friend & I had a fabulous lunch Sat 09/11 - all the food we had was delicious. We both had scallops to start with, after sharing some tasty toasted sourdough with a white beetroot, garlic & lemon dip (couldn't taste the beetroot, but it was lovely). I then had the venison which was cooked to perfection & my friend had the monkfish which she said was delicious. It's been a few years since I visited Dine & I'll definitely be back. Thanks all :)

Great food and atmosphere. It's a lovely restaurant and the staff are very friendly. I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.

To be honest, I wasn't too keen on coming here and almost cancelled, as it is a bit pricier than I'd usually like for a meal out, but it was worth every penny. The food was delicious, the cocktails were pretty good, but what really stood out was the service which was fantastic - we had a drink in the bar area before being seated and all of the staff (bar staff, waiters at the table etc) were attentive and friendly. Absolutely the best service I've experienced anywhere for a long time. Definitely recommend.

Great night at Dine, we were there to celebrate a family birthday. Food and drinks were excellent and service was exceptional, very well done team Dine. We can’t wait to be back.

We were served by the waiter Andrew Usher, smiling and great service, attentive regarding allergies and always present if we had questions. Atmosphere between lounge and cozy, prices are not particularly excessive compared to certain small restaurants in town. The salmon was great!

We had a dinner party, and the course meal was delicious, all dishes were served on time, and the beer recommended by the staff was the best.

Excellent value for money, great diversity on the menu and in terms of drinks. Very pleasant, cocooning and cozy atmosphere. We had a great time. The fries alone deserve 5 stars, and that's a Belgian speaking.

I can’t even explain to you how beautiful the food we had at dine was. We had olives to start which were gorgeous and then I had pigeon and venison- wow. Just wow, 10/10 on taste and presentation with portions just the right size so you can have dessert. I’m also blown away by the service we received; the gentleman with the tattoos and dark hair, the gentleman with the long light hair and glasses and the two ladies one with dark hair in a bun and the other with red hair were all just so thoughtful, friendly and kind- this meal was a treat for us both to celebrate and it meant so much to us both how fantastic the team at dine are when it comes to dining experience. We also had a few cocktails and all of those were unique and definitely worth a try. We’re visiting from Liverpool and this is our one little treat before we head home, I’m typing this before we’ve even had dessert because I’m so blown away, thank you everyone :)

Incredible value Sunday lunch backed up by first class service and good food. Not many restaurants supply enough biscuits with the cheese but you get more than enough here. Loved the ambience and there is a small bar.

All great, staff incredibly polite and efficient, the only thing I didn't like was tables being too crammed so tables for 2 are so close to each other that you lose your privacy, it feels like you're sitting with another 2 couples on each side .

Amazing experience, upon arrival we were greeted by Gabriella who kindly took our coats and shown us too our seats. We where handed the menu and there was plenty to choose from. We both had the pigeon breat for our starters and the pork belly for our mains. It was absolutely amazing. The restaurant environment was really nice and was very appealing to the eye ( we where sat underneath the tree in the middle which was great) all in all a great evening out and a fantastic experience at a restaurant very well managed with excellent staff who where friendly. Dine is one of favourite restaurants but we hadn’t had the chance to go in over 12 months. We went for dinner and it did not disappoint! Fabulous food, lovely wine and wonderful staff. And a nice bar for before and after dinner drinks. Can’t wait to go back

We had an amazing meal here to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Our server Andrew Usher was fantastic he was attentive without being overbearing and a credit to the restaurant and other staff. The food was amazing every course was delicious and the lay out of the restaurant does not leave you feeling crammed in. We will definitely eat here again when we return to Edinburgh.

We had a great night at Dine Edinburgh , we have eaten there before and the food has always been as expected ,this time it was to celebrate our 3rd anniversary of when we first met , Sonia was our server she's was really attentive and lee was front of house you couldn't of asked for more. Wir waren heute im Dine und hatten als Vorspeise den "würzigen Oktopus" und als Hauptgang die "Tranchen vom Lammstück". Eine Bewertung ist nicht einfach. Gemessen am allgemeinen Niveau der lokalen Restaurants gehört das Dine ganz sicher zu den guten Adressen. Die Qualität der Zutaten ist gut und das gilt auch für die Präsentation der Gänge. Gemessen am Anspruch auf der Webseite ( Das Restaurant wirbt mit "Sternekoch") ist beim Geschmack noch viel Steigerung nötig: Es fehlt jegliche Raffinesse. Leider. Schade, denn das Servicepersonal macht einen hervorragenden Job, schnell, freundlich und unaufdringlich. Hier ist ein klares Lob angebracht.

Very nice restaurant with excellent food and service. The latter is constantly present and very accommodating. Our waitress pointed out that it would take about 10-15 minutes to be served. When we looked and asked in disbelief, it turned out that this was apparently a problem for some guests 😳🫣. We would definitely like to come back!!

Went here for lunch whilst in Edinburgh for the day. Lovely options on the menu, we chose the 3 course meal lunch which was £30 per person and included half a bottle of wine or two pints of draught beer/lager. The meal was really delicious, very tasty sauces on the starter and main, we really did enjoy it. I had half a bottle of rose and my husband had two pints of IPA. It was quite busy so we were pleased we booked in advance. Very nice atmosphere, staff very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend.

A great first visit to Dine. We were greeted politely and seated quickly, shortly after we were presented with a complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Our main server Martha looked after us really well throughout the evening. The food and drink were very high quality and the cheese board was as good as I've had anywhere. Could not have asked for more.

Having no idea where to eat in Edinburgh, but wanting an upscale feel away from the tourist areas we decided to try Dine for the pre-theatre menu. We walked to the location, which was on the floor above ground level. The atmosphere was upscale and very chic. The staff were friendly and the food was really delicious, and we found the menu options and prices to be quite reasonable. It was a great experience and a nice treat!

Lovely food, only gripe was the al a dente veg, one bit was very hard. Overall good value for money.

Booked for 12th wedding anniversary and I can say we both loved the food. I had the beef cheek which was melt in the mouth.

Everything was wonderful, from staff to food!

Kinda shocking how many good reviews this place has because this might have been the worst $200 dinner I’ve ever had in my life. The beet salad was extremely bland and the cheese in it was squeaky when you bit into it. The rib-eye steak had no crust and was extremely chewy. The only positives about this place was the drinks. I wouldn’t eat here again if you paid me.

A group of 4 of us enjoyed pre-concert dinner recently. The attentive staff made sure we weren't delayed in reaching the nearby Usher Hall.

Very good table... family dinner for 3, impeccable service, beautiful plates, poorly soundproofed room, quite noisy.

It was a return visit as we enjoyed it so much on our last visit.The menu sounded amazing but failed to deliver on taste. 2x Duck starter -tasteless 1x Pork main- was good 1x chicken main-average 1x bread and butter pud -inedible 1x choc cremeux - tasted ok but not pretty on the plate Overall if this was our first visit we probably wouldn’t return.

We had a lovely lunch at Dine to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We were treated to a complementary glass of bubbly and the waiters made my friend feel special by lighting a candle and singing happy birthday to her at the end of the meal. The atmosphere was lovely and we both enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to going back soon.

Came in solo for some pre-theatre dining. Staff were attentive. Food very tasty. Particularly nice touch was the complementary glass of fizz that they told me they give to all solo diners. Also pleased not to have my table hidden away in a corner. Very relaxed vibe and nice atmosphere. I’d go again.

Gets even better every visit. Hubby and me had the "Dine with wine" menu . We received a warm welcome, experienced tasty food, wine together with friendly efficient service. The ambience was just right with some background music at the right level so you could talk normally. This place is like a well oiled machine and deserves it's good reviews for ensuring visitors have a good experience. Well done Dine Team. Can't wait to return in May.

The stay was very good. Everything was Great the food and service it was very good the guy called bishal he treated us very well.

My colleagues had given me vouchers as a birthday treat. We were met by a warm welcome and when informing staff about my gluten allergy could not fault the service and the food when it arrived. Would recommend 100% I would say if anyone's looking for something different and not too expensive I would recommend and we're looking forward to our return visit!

Always amazing this is one of my favourite places to go with friends, the setting, the ambience, the staff , the food the wine and the attention to detail all fabulous. I was there in March and I've booked again in April can't wait.

We dined here on Saturday night before the Billy Joel Songbook Concert. What a treat it was and made all the better by great service from Andrew, who was a real hoot. The menu was varied and catered for all diets including a nice selection...

We are regular customers because we like this place so much. Food is always excellent and really good value for money, and the nice friendly service makes it always a pleasure to eat here.
