We had lunch here while on a visit to the museum. Great choice and gluten free options. The Cullen Skink is highly recommended, generously filled breakfast rolls were good, and the coffee was first class. The museum is a fantastic local resource and we were pleased to be able to contribute something, and enjoyed an impromptu trip to the museum shop too.

I'm sure this place is Gairloch's best kept secret. I had gorgeous home baked scones and cappuccino. I recommend. Sit and enjoy the view, it's worth it. Cheap too.

Quick lunch - delicious minestrone soup with cheese scone, then coffee and the tastiest shortbread to go with it. Will be back for sure!

Excellent cafe. New staff, new menu items and absolutely excellent Thanks to all staff who were very busy but took the time to chat with us and served with a smile. As someone who is gluten free there was lots of choice and family with me (gluten eaters) had lots of choice too Good sized serving at a reasonable price!

I’ve never left a TripAdvisor review before, but this has to be said. We visit Gairloch every year and have been here in the past when it was excellent—but this time was completely different. The staff looked miserable and unwelcoming, which set the tone right away. We ordered two soups that were bland and two cakes that were dry, all at ridiculously high prices. Definitely not worth it. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend The Myrtle just down the road—excellent food and friendly service, unlike here.

We had a delicious lunch here, having had a lovely coffee and cake a few days previous. . Friendly staff and tasty food and drinks on both occasions. View from the cafe was beautiful.

Really friendly staff (but no overly so!) and despite the weather not being great the view across the Loch was stunning. The food and drinks were delicious and unique, altogether a great experience

This is a very friendly and welcoming cafe on the first floor of the excellent museum. Food is home prepared. On our most recent visit we enjoyed delicious soup and a toasted sandwich which was really well filled with mediterranean vegetables and delicious cheese. We would definitely recommend this cafe. there are a few exterior tables for enjoying magnificnet views in good weather.

We had the vegetable soup with cheese and seaweed scone. Both were fantastic and excellent value. Wondered why everything else on the menu was very expensive.

We ate lunch at Am Bard today after passing a couple of times. The prawn Marie Rose open sandwich was delicious. I’m not usually a fan of potato salad but the potato salad serviced with the sandwich was really tasty and may just have changed my view. The food was fresh and full of flavour. Staff were friendly and efficient. There was definetely a community feel to the cafe which I liked. Oh and I recommend having an Americano and custard cream blondue, yum!

What a gem of a hotel. The welcome we received was lovely and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We popped in for coffee and we enjoyed the whole experience. Lovely fire and surroundings. We intend to return and stay over.

The food was excellent!!! Alfie, Nicole, and Jack made us feel right at home. Their interaction with us, while serving us promptly, was perfect. We all felt like we would love to dine there again and highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic spot for great food — easily the best burgers in Inverness. Everything is delicious, fresh, and made with care. The macaroni and chilli dishes are outstanding, and the loaded fries are absolutely worth trying. The staff are warm, welcoming, and excellent at what they do.
