The food is delicious and beautifully prepared. There is home made sorbet- the coconut and mango is the lovliest thing I've ever tasted. The seafood platter was excellent and the best bit was the crab. I don't know what they did to it but I enjoyed it even more than the lobster. The sauce with the mussels was so tasty.

Enjoyed several meals on my recent trip to Coll in the hotel restaurant. Friendly service and really good options each time. Loved the soups, risotto, tagliatelle, lamb, salad and the burgers. The dessert options were delicious so good intentions were cast aside. I highly recommend the red berry, blood orange and lemon sorbets. I look forward to future visits to Coll and the restaurant.

Excellent service, great food, moderate to high prices, fantastic views. Monkfish scampi really delicious as was the home made red berry sorbet. Only niggle was the bar and restaurant are integral and a lot of chat noise from the bar disturbs conversation over dinner.

We had really lovely service when we dined here for our evening meal. The wine list was good, and the food was nice. The seafood in my thermidor was perfectly cooked, but the sauce was unfortunately lacking. My friends soup with local salmon was delicious though. Would happily dine here again

Lovely meal, we felt very reasonably priced , and tasty. Very friendly and accommodating staff, and enjoyed a drink in the bar playing pool after. Obviously a lovely view too! As I was on Coll bikepacking, I spent almost an entire day at the Coll Hotel due to extreme rain and ended up having lunch and dinner while doing some work on their free, fast and reliable wifi. It's very modern, the staff are lovely and the food was delish! It's also extremely well priced, I had to check with the staff that everything had been included on the bill. Should I ever be back in Coll, I'll probably book a room for the weekend too!

Had visited over a decade ago, so quite a change since then. Have to say, not as intimate or atmospheric, but still a great location. The service was good and friendly. The food was very good, good choice of wine by the glass rather than buying a bottle. In particular, the seafood platter was very good, very tasty, simply done, decent portion size (not too overfacing). Had a sweet which was a little underwhelming, but tasty enough. All in all very good. We were booked for another night but cancelled as having seen the menu there wasn't a huge amount we'd particularly go for. That would be the one thing that's a downside, a limited choice, though I appreciate on such a small island it's hard to have a wider choice.

there are obviously great meals to be had at this venue but not always. vegetarians do not always fare well and i felt this on the occasion when we called overnight at coll while sailing the Islands. My chouce "SUMMER SALAD BOWL" Mixed salad leaves, tomato, cucumber, avocado, pickled beetroot, toasted seeds, soy, sesame & honey dressing at £12 was more like a big starter rather that a main meal, it was tasty enough but just not much of it and that was a real disappointment. I had added Seared Halloumi for an extra £5 and to some extent it helped save the day, however for the sake of a decent salad amount the evening was a disappointment.

I had a fantastic meal here on a busy Saturday evening. I hadn't booked but the team were able to squeeze me in for an early dinner. I enjoyed a Coll g+t in the beautiful garden before dinner service, with great views to the Loch. For dinner I had the soup (smoked haddock chowder), lobster thermidor (local) and then ice cream and sorbet (home made). Everything was delicious, really couldn't have asked for more. The restaurant was full, with a mix of locals, hotel guests, families and people like me who had clearly been out all day and were not 'dressed for dinner' so to speak! But everyone was welcomed and the team were really friendly and efficient. They even let me charge up my phone. Thanks for a lovely experience and I will be telling people about this place!

We booked for a Saturday night, which us always a risk as places can be very busy and service standards suffer. Not so here. They were very busy but the service and food were excellent. The seafood casserole was packed full of fish scallops and langoustines and the sobrasada starter and cheesecake sweet were also delicious. The view is to die for. Also they sell handpumped beer, rare in hotels I Scotland.

The restaurant had obviously been modernised recently but retained great views out over Loch Eatharna to the open sea. we hoped the food would match up to the views and it did. Much of the Menu features local food so, especially, fish varies on a daily basis with what has been caught. The previous day had featured monkfish but it had gone by the day we went. However, an excellent smoked trout starter had arrived. We guess that lobster/crab/langoustines will pretty well always be on offer. The wine list was very reasonably priced, again considering location. Service was friendly and helpful.

We did not stay in the hotel, but came here almost every day - in the afternoons to enjoy a little snack, a cup of coffee (excellent btw), a drink in the pub or - best of all - for a delicious dinner! The restaurant in Coll Hotel is undoubtedly one of the best I've been to. The Menue fits on one page, but varies daily. Fresh seafood is the topmost specialty, and when I say fresh I mean it. Local fishermen bring in their specialties on a daily basis, and the famose chef of Coll Hotel turns this into magic. Additionally the personnel is very friendly. If you are on Coll, you must go there!

Ate here several times during a recent stay in Arinagour. The new dining room and bar are lovely and well used throughout the day.I mainly had dinner but also popped in for lunch and a breakfast once each too.The dinner menu has a good few options which is important when there are limited/no alternative venues. I don't eat seafood which often means one or two dishes are all that are available but the menu has a number of meat options as well as vegetarian dishes. My favourite meal was the chicken burger with cheese and bacon - a tasty and hearty meal. The beefburger was also good. The bean burger with guacamole was a bit mushy in texture but tasted okay. The salad with halloumi was excellent and the sweet potato gnocchi was also very good. The cheesecake was recommended to me and was absolutely delicious. There are some sides, snacks and sandwiches as options for lunch so you can eat lighter at that time. The nachos with added beef were very tasty. The Scottis breakfast that I had was freshly cooked and therefore just as expected. The haggis tower is for anyone looking for a large meaty breakfast - 2 large haggis slices and poached eggs on top of potato scones. The majority of the staff are super friendly and helpful making it a nice venue for both visitors and locals.

4 of us called in here for dinner. We had admired the cooking on previous visits, and knew there was now a new kitchen and much larger dining area. The cooking remains very good, with the same excellent seafood, fish, lamb and venison we have enjoyed in the past. The wine list is interesting and the bottles we had were very good. The service was smooth and we thought our meal was good value. We were less sure about the building; it looks attractive and interesting from the outside and inside the surroundings are very spacious, but like many contemporary restaurants it contains hardly anything which absorbs sound, so that on a not very busy evening it was noisy and less relaxing than the previous rather cramped dining room.

The menu was interesting, I chose the venison one night (mushroom/cream accompaniment wouldn't be my first preference but it was cooked to perfection). Halibut with parmesan risotto the following day. I did worry about the sheer size of the mussels starter but I still managed to finish my main (but no dessert for me!). One night i did have dessert it was a chocolate mousse torte which is the best chocolate mousse i've had in a very long time.

The other plus point was the good service delivered by friendly waitresses. The ambience is relaxed and fairly contemporary and there are lovely views over the garden and the loch. On a warm evening I'm sure you could eat outside too. I'm afraid the other venue on the island is not a patch on this. Fully recommended.

There is only one descriptive for good seafood - "Gastronomic". We dined on seafood every meal and the Seafood Platter for 2 was finger licking good. The scallops so tender and juicy as were the mussels muniere and lobster tails nice and moist. Breakfast was continental and then a Scottish Cooked to follow. Man it lasted a day.

This shed is miles down a single track road, in a beautiful setting but hardly in a commuter belt. It is so well stocked. Cakes - so many to choose from, hot and cold drinks, ice cream, fudge tablet. The caravan park further down the road must help with trade, but it is a great place and I hope it continues to flourish and the baker continues to bake (Oh and the cakes and tablet were fab).

Fantastic food which was reasonably priced and friendly staff. We were the only people booked on the evening we visited so the atmosphere was a little on the quiet side but we thoroughly enjoyed the food!
