Absolutely fabulous, presentation and quality of food excellent. Cakes looked great but we were full after toastie , sandwich and soup. Staff very homely and couldn't do enough for you.

So lovely everyone was so welcoming and inclusive made us feel like part of the community. Food was very tasty the brownies are to die for proper chunks of chocolate and bought some artwork which is beautiful. If we loved locally we'd be there all the time. 100/10

Of course it was wonderful to be greeted by Max, the guard dog! Nice atmosphere for drinks, and to learn a little about the area. Book ahead for dinner there - it gets great reviews, and many people were trying to get a table with no success. It will be on our list for next time!

Lovely wee spot with delicious food and great service ! Would recommend the chicken tikka panini, made with real chicken tikka 🥰 beautiful cakes aswell!!!

Great welcome and wonderful hospitality from David and Sophie who constantly go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Highly recommended.

We were delighted to make a return trip to Edinbane Lodge for dinner in February 2025. Once again it was a delight. Service was friendly and informative, and the food was really exceptional. Standout dishes from the ten course tasting menu were the langoustines in orange butter and the Falasgeir desert. Keep doing what you are doing, Calum, Eilidh and team- you create exceptional food and great memories.

Really friendly family owed restaurant. We just stopped in for a quick bit to hold us over to dinner. I had the apple pie and my husband had a slice of some type of lemon pie/cake. The apple pie was good. I also had a large tea while my husband had coffee. Very relaxed environment. The owner was really friendly and has two dogs which are nice and mellow. There are snacks for sale already packaged for travel. We took some freshly baked snacks for later that night (i really do not remember what we had…only it was good). The restaurant offers local artist crafts for sale. We Recommend a stop in for a quick bit to eat.

Visited this wonderful tea room having visited the area and read the reviews. Had a lovely cup of tea with the most amazing home made chocolate orange cake. There was a huge choice of cake available, I’m not sure how the lady remembered them all. We never looked at the lunch menu, but will next time we visit. All of the staff were really friendly. The lady did tell us that they don’t take cards but could take a bank transfer or cash. If visiting the area, a stop off is definitely recommended.

We honestly cannot rate this quaint wee place high enough. The food is outstanding, the service is friendly and nothing too much trouble. Certainly never anything but perfect every time we’ve been

After a surprise visit from No1 son we went out for tea, service and food ticked all the boxes and would have no hesitation in recommending certainly a credit to the town. Word of caution always safer making a reservation so you don’t miss out.

Absolutely outstanding. Only a small 8 table restaurant. Nice, simple, relaxing & laid back set up. The food was exemplary. Well worth the cost. I wouldn't class it as expensive as the quality deserved the cost. Was seated for around two hours and left fully satisfied. This is well worthy of being any cities top rated restaurant.

A little gem tucked away just off the A9. Great food, lovely friendly staff and a wonderful ambience. Thank you we will be back next June.

Just stopped off in passing for a coffee and scone. Excellent. Not one of the oversized scones that you often find nowadays. Very friendly and welcoming. Nice selection of gifts available too many of which are locally made. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I had an evening meal at The Smithy with a couple of friends on Saturday evening. The meal was excellent, as was the welcome and the service. The menu was imaginative and the atmosphere was very good. We would certainly eat there again if in the area and would thoroughly recommend it.

On the 18th January at around 17-30 I rang to book a table as we where staying in the village for the evening I was told the restaurant was fully booked all night so no tables would be available I walked past at around 8pm that evening to visit the spar shop to get something to eat I was surprised to see only 2 tables occupied As this was the only place open to eat I was somewhat disappointed
