I discovered the wonderful Tea Garden at Comrie Croft when out for a drive. Easy parking. Very friendly staff. Beautifully presented, delicious cakes and bakes. Extremely clean and tidy. Lovely, lovely coffee. Great to be able to sit inside or out. The staff are wonderful with nice chat and local information. Will definitely return and can recommend highly to everyone.

We loved it here. We came twice during our trip and each time the food was delicious. I really loved there being salads as well as sarnies and pastries. The whole set up is special, almost magical … especially in lovely August sunshine! The atmosphere from the design along with the views really make it special.

This is such a sweet place! The food and traybakes are awesome, and they are so welcoming. Thankfully, unlike a lot of places, they go out of their way to cater for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free which we needed for our group The staff are so patient and kind and love a wee chat. My kids loved the food. Great asset to the campsite, and I will definitely be back 👍🏽

We arrived looking for a bite to eat. We missed breakfast by ten minutes and there’s no flex on that. Lunch doesn’t start till 12 so we had to settle on coffee and cakes. Annoyingly the family behind us were served panini, how is that not lunch?! Anyway, the coffee is pretty decent, the cake was generous, but I’d say overpriced. The layout and eating areas are characterful and the atmosphere was nice overall. Maybe we picked a bad day or a bad time, all the ingredients are there for a great coffee/lunch stop. Today it just wasn’t great.

We popped into this place for lunch and a walk in the picturesque Comrie area. There is a cafe, shop and there's yurts, camping and biking available for holidaymakers. It promotes a natural, fresh and eco based experience. This however comes at quite a price. The cafe prices are very high, £4 for a mocha or a piece of shortbread, £17 for quiche and limited salad lunch and a couple of SMALL sized watery hot drinks in paper cups. They offer ciabattas, bagels, soup and cakes too. The portions are small and the food is served on plastic plates and cutlery, not exactly pleasant and given the prices and with the waste caused by plastic its not really Eco friendly in line with the ethos of the place. The quiche was bland, tasteless with a rock hard inedible crust and it broke my plastic cutlery trying to cut it. Also it didnt seem that fresh. The salad was tasty with interesting flavours, if limited. The server had a very stingey attitude, she refused to heat the quiche saying it would "spoil it" and had a bit of a bartering manner when we asked for salad, it was No this and No that and came across as generally straight faced and unfriendly. The part that really grated is we were made to sit outdoors as they have closed the indoor sitting area! On a cold October afternoon in the pouring rain! So we ate a miserable underwhelming expensive cold meal on plastic plates in the freezing cold! It was so abundantly obvious they wouldn't heat the food or let customers sit indoors to save energy costs, which might be OK if you charge take away prices, but not at these costs. Can't help thinking they saw us coming really. If we weren't hungry and miles from any alternatives we would've walked away. The place reeks of affluent middle classes in expensive camper vans and clothes rather than genuine alternative enviro conscious folk. C'mon guys we appreciate there's a financial crisis going on but taking advantage of customers like this is not OK.

What an absolute shame , this was my favorite cafe in Perthshire. Used to get fab service , amazing food at reasonable prices . The tea used to be served in china pots and such a lovely spot. Unfortunately now is now served in paper cups, the lovely feel is now replaced by plastic chairs , clear your own table into the bin , tables are dirty with spilt drinks and food . The cafe have never been good at pricing their food and drink but waiting for service having to hear each customer ask about the price of items as they order it would be easier to have the prices displayed. Their pricing have increased greatly . Millionaires shortcake is living up to its name ! Over priced and frankly not worth it. Unfortunately my repeat custom won’t be back. Don’t think that will matter to the owner as she has a captive customer base with the mountain bike centre. Utterly disappointed

Second visit which we were all looking forward too having visited last year.Im sorry to say the food was very average pastry on the quiche was rock solid and inedible the green salad not even dressed and a very hard potato salad. Wonderful views but that doesn’t make up for the quality of the food. I had the chick pea Pattie which was ok with undressed green salad and hard potato salad and my son had the quiche , with the coffees this came to £39 for the three of us which for the food we had I thought was very poor value.

Being local to Comrie we were delighted to recently discover the cafe at Comrie Croft and have visited regularly over the summer for breakfast at the weekend - the quality of coffee and food and usually the service is great and in a wonderful setting. However this morning i was served something I didn't order and couldn't eat (for medical reasons, I'm not being difficult for the sake of it!) and would have been easier, quicker and cheaper for you to serve what I'd asked for in the first place. Not sure I'll be back - I understand it was very busy this morning but really don't understand it when this is used as an excuse for poor service....... not sure I'll be back and will stick to Comrie Deli in future.....

Our first visit won't be our last. Popped in for a coffee towards the end of service. Staff were great; friendly and accommodating. The coffee was smooth and not at all bitter. Wonderful setting which we hope to explore more on a longer visit.

We stopped here on our way home from Crieff because we wanted a cafe with easy parking. The car park was quite full with mountain bikers but we got a space anyway. Many of the tables are outside which we would have liked but it started raining just as we placed our order. Thankfully we got a table inside where we could look at the quirky decor and various other items on display. We had tea and a selection of cakes Date flapjack - good, marshmallow rocky road - good, vegan millionaires shortbread - less good (my daughter said that the toffee was too runny and that the base tasted “funny”) However we had been told the traybake was vegan and my daughter could have chosen something else so that’s just personal taste. Dogs are welcome in the cafe too. There were lots of people checking in to the campsite while we were there. We’ll definitely come back at some point with our bikes and give the trails a go.

Love it, best in area !! Its pretty near to us so we go frequently especially when family or friends visit. The staff are very friendly, its quality food, coffee and teas in a fun and quirky environment. If your looking for linen tablecloths & silver service its not for you but otherwise its very well worth the effort. Try it!

Beautifully presented hotel and restaurant. This was our first visit to Cairn Lodge for a family dinner. We were unfortunately disappointed by the standard of food, particularly the ribeye steaks. Fillet steaks looked amazing, however the ribeyes appeared to be sourced from a different supplier, lacking flavour and being overcooked. It would have been appreciated if someone had inquired about our main course, as we would have shared our thoughts. I sensed that the staff may have been hesitant to engage with us after serving the steaks, likely due to their awareness of the quality issues.

A great evening. Beautifully prepared and served meal. The colours and positioning of the vegetable selection, the carefully cooked food, the wide choice of menu, the attentive service, the cosy ambience. What a lovely evening. I would recommend highly to anyone interested in giving it a try.

Stayed a couple of nights before heading north west. Pitlochry is a lovely spot and Knockendarroch was the perfect place for us. Great views, bedrooms and service but the star of the show is the food. The menu has 4 options for each course and completely changes every night. Three courses balanced just right and with canapés in the lounge before dinner, the whole experience is just wonderful. Particularly liked the seafood laksa and the guinea foul / chorizo dishes.
