Food was divine, service amazing. We did not expect a lot and we really had an amazing time…

If you are seated in the front of the restaurant it seems quite small and comfortable. I know there are more seats in the back, but we haven't actually seen that part of the restaurant. The waitresses were very nice, too. Most importantly the food was amazing and for a very fair price.

This is a restaurant we’ve been longing to visit. We were definitely not disappointed . We had Atlantic perch with seasonal vegetables for main and a small cheese platter for dessert. The service was quick and very efficient. We’ll be back soon.

An excellent meal which allowed us to discover a marriage of incredible flavors and perfect cooking of both the sirloin and the mutton. Well done to the cook! The service is not to be outdone, congratulations to our very professional and delicate waitress.

A great choice for Scottish food, sourced well and presented even better. They have a great value pre theatre and set menu. The interior is very quaint and adds to the atmosphere. The private dining room is also a good option if there is a group of you. Staff are very knowledgeable and attentive.

Very good food for a good price!

We were very excited about going to this restaurant during our stay in Perth. The staff were very accommodating as I got the time wrong and we were late but they made sure that we had the two hours. We had an excellent table and were well looked after. Menu was exciting with really good options. A great experience and evening.

A long overdue return visit to The North Port in Perth from Glasgow was proven to be well worthwhile! Fantastic traditional food in a quaint setting. The cast iron spiral staircase is like a trip back in time. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

What a gem of a restaurant! The staff were so welcoming - just the ticket on a rainy Pert Thursday. The food was exceptional. I had the haggis, neeps & tatties and hubby had the Arbroath smokie. Both were fabulous. For mains I had the monkfish & pigs cheek. Not a combo I had tried before but what a revelation - id was delicious. Hubby had the venison, which I assume was equally good cos he wouldn't share!!

Superb lunch at the cosy North Port which deserved all the praise and Michelin mentions it has. We had the three-course set menu for the jaw-droppingly reasonable price of £25. The starters (hake skagen and grilled courgettes) were fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. Smoked haddock main came with creamy mustard sauce, leeks and small grilled tatties, a delightful portion, earthy with finesse. The perfect grilled baby gem main, charred on one side, came with barley with a hint of toffee sweetness, and freshest of peas; balanced, subtle tastes. Fine Marlborough sauvignon crowned the meal, followed by equally impressive desserts. (Rhubarb, elderflower sorbet, strawberries…).

We were highly recommended to visit this restaurant by our hotel. Absolutely fantastic food and service by the first two staff, especially the first staff who patiently assisted us with the ordering of dishes and wine. They were 5 star service staff. Though we waited for our dessert that took at least 15-20mins we didn't mind as we chatted about our wonderful trip. But it became sour when the manager asked us to quickly make payment as our table was under reservation but we could finish our wine. Perhaps she could have managed it better in another manner. For that is why I gave 2 stars for service because the manager made our overall experience dull. It is not fair to the first two staff who were absolutely wonderful but I need to point out that the manager failed them. Otherwise, the evening would have been perfect. Our trip to Scotland was perfect until this evening. We've visited Scotland many times and definitely, this is not Scottish hospitality.

Excellent food with fresh local produce. Service was great. Highly recommend the Venison, the beef cheeks and also the poached Rhubarb dessert. Great wine pairings and cocktails too!

The set lunch menu was delicious.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Their small pre-dinner bread with special carrot sauce and sweet carrots in my main dish was amazing. I ordered two courses from the set menu, and both were delicious. The chicken in the main dish was a bit salty, but the sauce was really nice. The restaurant offered warm service, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere. The only drawback was the lack of signal in the restaurant, but overall, I'm very dedicated to enjoying delicious food.

We booked a table for 7 including 3 toddlers for a lunch as we were driving from Aviemore to Fife and needed to stop for a birthday lunch. So happy with the find. Welcome and service was fantastic, we were given a table in a separate room. All of the dishes served were delicious and well-presented. Shame we don't live in Perth as we'd go again.

#RoadTripJ3 OMG, what gourmet cuisine! The North Port Scottish Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience. The soup of the day was simply exceptional, and the fish was wonderfully prepared. As for the brioche bread with butter, it was real killer. The staff are very pleasant and attentive which further adds to the positive experience. There are few tables, so booking in advance is highly recommended if you want a seat. We were lucky to be able to be placed without a reservation, but this is not guaranteed. In summary, this restaurant is a must for lovers of good cuisine. Each dish is a discovery of flavors, and the intimate ambiance adds to the experience. Don’t miss this gastronomic gem during your visit.

Booked a table as we'd heard it gets busy, & it's a small venue. Main reason for meal was that they have rabbit on the menu, and that's a rare dish these days. Had 2 courses. Stuffed lamb belly for starter. Hake fillet and rabbit for mains. Was given table water, and some homemade bread with a carrot & creme fraiche spread to start. Finished with coffee and was given 2 chocolate truffles & 2 whisky jellies. All the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

We had a lovely dinner at this quaint little gem of a restaurant a week ago. It was my son's pick for a birthday dinner and it did not dissappoint. The staff were all lovely, friendly, chatty and attentive .. the food was absolutely delicious. We had the plaice and lamb belly as our starters and the monkfish and beef cheeks as our mains. Both of the fish dishes were delicate and cooked beautifully and the meat were melt in your mouth tender, we ordered a side of veggies to share which were lightly sautéed, so they were crisp and buttery.The rosemary pesto with the lamb belly appetizer was a lovely surprise. The Desserts were light and flavourful, not too sweet and the perfect end to a delicious meal... we've been fortunate to have had some great food experiences in our travels and this one definitely ranks in the top .... superb ... I can't recommend this restaurant more highly

Nice small restaurant that doesn't feel too crowded even when busy. Small menu, selection of meat fish and vegetarian. Good use of local seasonal produce Nice wine menu.

We've had great meals here in past but this time was disappointing. Starters were nice but on the rabbit main, one of the pieces, possibly pan fried, was extremely tough & chewy, also garlic puree over salted Left us wondering about whether to return in future

Very, very disappointing. First, we were ordering drinks and the young waitress overheard one of our party say that as she was driving later she would just have a small glass of wine before what would be a substantial meal. The waitress whom we found quite hostile refused to serve her saying that they would lose their licence if she did. Rubbish. Do they interrogate every patron and decline to serve alcohol to any professed driver? She failed to bring me a glass of wine (I did order it) . My food was luke warm on a cold plate and I sent it back. The pork was so tough even a serrated knife could not cut it. 0ne of our friends took ill and had to leave. He agreed the pork was tough. The waitress said my husband had not ordered a pudding. He had but she argued he hadn't. The restaurant was cold, no heating on and it is Scotland!! The rest of the staff were very pleasant. We will not be back.

I was told the North Port was good but was surprised how good the cooking was. It’s a small intimate place. Service was efficient and reasonably friendly. Short, part traditionally Scottish (haggis, venison, Arbroath smoky) type of menu. Lots of fish. The food we had was light,even though we went for some options that are usually heavy. Sensible portion sizes and attractive presentation. The pigeon was seriously good. I can also recommend the cheese selection. We didn’t push the boat out. Dinner was £60 a head. The set lunch / early dinner options looked terrific value.

This restaurant has a lot of charm, intimate with a reasonable number of tables. The welcome is extremely warm and the service excellent. The dishes are very well cooked and original. We highly recommend it.

We were pre-booked for lunch and on arrival the welcome was warm and friendly. We all opted for the set menu which had a range of dishes to suit all tastes. The complimentary bread and dips was a lovely touch. The restaurant was fully booked and the pace of service was spot on. The food was very tasty and well presented and it is obvious that they have a very talented team in the kitchen. All in all a very enjoyable dining experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending the North Port to potential diners.

Food is truly amazing with very efficient and friendly staff. Definitely will be back here again..one of the tastiest steaks I have had in ages.

What a great find in Perth and next to the Concert Hall!! We had the set menu before going to the Concert Hall at 7:30. The waitress was superb, helpful and friendly. The food from the canapé of celeriac mousse to the braised pork main course and dessert were an exceptional dining experience. Thank you.

Amazing place with very tasty food. And as Italian, were really difficult to please when it comes to food. 5 stars well deserved.

Skilfully cooked, imaginative food which was beautifully presented. Most importantly it tasted great too. We particularly enjoyed the delightfully relaxed and intimate ambience and the somewhat uncommon experience of eating lovely food which satisfied both the senses and the appetite. The wee treat of a shared ‘birthday’ pudding (brown butter parfait et al) was a fitting end to our meal. Excellent service and very good value, we look forward to patronising this fine establishment again. Thanks to all who contributed to our enjoyable evening.

I was really surprised with high quality dishes at the North Port on my birthday dinner. Very tasty, so many details on plates and everything pleasant to eat. We definitely will come back. Excellent food! My recommendation!

Brilliant food. We opted for the main menu and had 3 courses and 4 drinks each coming in at around £150. Excellent service and the food was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed and would be hard pressed to think of any other experience, and we have had lots, that would top this. We will definitely revisit next time we are in Perth.

We tired to book very late before a show and the chef- proprietor mailed in a day off to sort us a space. We both enjoyed two excellent courses and a drink for £23 per head plus drinks. Very friendly and professional staff and great food.

So the building is lovely outside and in, parking available at the door and all around it’s in a good spot. The service was good but the food was lacking all dishes seemed to be garnished the same I think it was crushed peas when we went, the food also wasn’t really hot, cold plates I think the kitchen is a distance away. Also it’s loud with footfall from fellow guests and the serving staff

Interesting food, quite good, we ate lamb, beef and lamb liver, the service was very good and the place was very typical Scottish.

The menu is filled with locally sourced ingredients prepared skilfully and simply. The chef clearly has faith in the quality of the produce served letting the flavour of the carefully selected ingredients take centre stage. The dishes are beautifully assembled without succumbing to style over substance. Simply delicious, confident cooking. Our favourite restaurant in Perth.

Fantastic restaurant! It was snowing outside when I arrived there, and the restaurant looked so cosy from the outside, with candles in the windows. Inside, it was lovely and warm as there was a fire in the dining room. The food was absolutely delicious, and the waiting staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend it.

Great restaurant, amazing food and great staff.

I was in a group of friends and we had the private room at the rear of the restaurant. We were given the group menu and it was excellent value. Although it was a set menu with a nice selection of choices, a few alternatives were required and our requests were met with no quibble. The food looked and tasted excellent, and the service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff. What a lovely time we had and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at The North Port for helping to make it a memorable evening. I went to bed still salivating over the beef cheeks 😋🤣🤣

Really nice food, small portions for me but really nice

Great atmosphere here. Food was very good, especially the duck. The service was fantastic, there were some parties in for Christmas so the server made a point of asking us to choose food options before the parties ordered so we didn’t have to wait a long time, which I though was great attention. Staff were friendly and happy to chat to us, gave us some recommendations for after we left.

Had a lovely meal there with my partner..can recommend the monkfish and the ribeye steak..we were sat near candles in a fire ..very romantic..and as it was my birthday my dessert had a sparkler in it..so they were very nice in doing that..service good, food good a good meal had by all..

Setting aside its complete charm, the kitchen is commanded by undeniable experts of seafood cookery. We went for a lunch of long exploration through the menu. Each piece of fish was perfectly prepated and perfectly presented. Flavorful, but not over-sauced. We left having sampled a good many offerings and appreciated the kitchen's efforts with every look and bite. Bravi.

Almost everything was fantastic with our experience with the one exception of how an issue with a meal was dealt with. My partner had pigeon and there were at least 2 shots (small metal balls) in the food. When we told the wait staff they were very apologetic and sincere and understood that you wouldn't want to finish a meal having found metal in it. The manager came over and was condescending, asking if it was the first time we had pigeon, then saying this is normal. This is not normal, when working with pigeon it's important to thoroughly wash the bird, ensuring that any metal is found and removed. If this isn't done the dirt remains in the bird. She brought us more wine without us wanting more wine and charged us for the meal. It was a shame to spoil what was otherwise good food in a nice restaurant.

Ambiente molto intimo. Zuppa ai funghi buonissima come anche il pane su cui si può spalmare del burro alle erbe oppure accompagnarlo con una salsa di piselli e nocciole offerta come antipasto. Molto buoni, anche se non abbondanti, i piatti unici che abbiamo mangiato a base di Piccione uno e Maiale l'altro con contorno di verdurine miste. Ottimo il dolce al cioccolato. Conto adeguato (circa 35€ a testa). L'acqua è offerta

Beautiful food and lovely staff who have great taste in music. Found this wonderful gem during a trip through Scotland and we were pleasantly surprised. The handcut chips are delicious.

One of the best Scottish we visited. Classy (but cosy) atmosphere, so comfortable seatings and friendly service. Really appreciated the GOOD SOURDOUGH bread (as greeks we are bread lovers but we discovered that bread is almost never found in restaurants with starters). Everything was so good, I just disappointed with my fish which was finally tasteless (cod). Maybe it’s the nature of codfish, but I was expecting better taste according to everything else in this restaurant. Everything else was excellent, desert was also great.

Food was excellent as always but air conditioning made it very uncomfortable. Mentioned it to waitress but she just blanked us. Had to decline dessert as felt uncomfortable sitting with jackets on, much warmer outside!

Really lovely gem hidden away. We were staying somewhere between Perth and Dundee and were looking for a really nice place to eat one evening. Really lucked out with North Port. Very tela ee atmosphere but food was of a very high standard and staff very attentive. They gave every table enough room so you never felt cramped yet it still maintained a nice atmosphere. Was fully booked on a Tuesday night and we're turning people away so highly recommend booking. Food wise every course was a delight, one of those times you wish there was a taster menu so you didn't have to choose and you try as many of the chefs creations as possible in an evening. Certainly talented enough to do and if the courses we had were anything to go by will be pushing for a star. Highly recommend and well worth a drive just to get there.

Das hochpreisige Essen ist ganz OK, die Bedienung (die Oberkellnerin) trägt die Nase etwas zu hoch. Wir haben im hinteren Teil des Restaurants gesessen. Das hat nicht sooo viel Charme.

It was our first visit to North Port and it didn't disappoint. Very welcoming, lovely staff and tasteful interior. The food was delicious! The menu was mouthwatering and the portion sizes absolutely perfect. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Looking for a restaurant in Perth, I found this restaurant on the Internet. Booked a table just by going through the fotos and the menu. Scottish food with a modern touch. A small menu and very very good. Would come back to Perth just to eat here again.

Wir hatten hier ein wirklich ausgezeichnetes Dinner! Alle Gerichte waren toll durchdacht und präsentiert. Und lecker! Ich hatte zum ersten Mal Taube (als Vorspeise) und war begeistert. Die Weinkarte las sich auch sehr schön. Lockeres Casual Fine Dining, was ich in Perth und Umgebung wärmstens empfehlen kann!

I booked for my daughters birthday. The Vegan menu was a disgrace. The service was rude. We asked to see the manager and was lied to that no managers were available all away on leave. That's nonsense there is always someone senior in role on duty. We tried to email. No response several emails later. Shocking
