The best restaurants serving British food in Scotland

A nice clean little cafe, the coffee and tea we had was well presented. The staff were friendly and cheerful and gave a homely atmosphere to the cafe.

Are here once and wouldn’t recommend but everything else is great, plenty of screens for the many sports they have on the time the and the drinks are very reasonably priced.

Had a great stay here, start of May 2025, for a mountain biking weekend. Location and setup are perfect for mountain biking / outdoor activities. Staff were friendly, accommodating and engaging. Food was lovely! There are a few other nice food locations local too, so you won't be bored with only one option to eat - which you sometimes get in small villages. My only gripe was the walls seem quite thin, so I could hear the guests next door late at night after they came home drunk which woke me up. I would stay again!

Place has closed down permanently. Telephone cut off and no longer works. Don't bother trying to go there. ...........

Great atmosphere - lively with a wide range of clientele.

So much potential but sadly the Laird is no longer getting looked after, th current morning host seems to have an attitude towards the guests. Overall sad to see.

Il ristorante dell’hotel ha un’ambientazione calda e intima, e una buona scelta di piatti proposti. Abbiamo provato il pollo Balmoral alla Invergarry, tra gli speciali del giorno. Il piatto era ben concepito, con le polpette di haggis a parte e il pollo insaporito da poche gocce di salsa al whiskey. Con due pinte di birra abbiamo speso 61 sterline, che è comunque un prezzo abbastanza alto considerando la scarsa porzione di pollo nel piatto. Se non altro la qualità era molto buona…

Lovely restaurant, separate gluten free menu. Big portions, tasty food. My daughter really liked her gluten free fish and chips. Great service, nice and clean restaurant and facilities. We definitely will be back

We had a lovely meal here. The scampi in particular was excellent. Service was fantastic - they were great with our 18 month old, brought her food so quickly and when she wolfed it down, brought her some more! Would highly recommend.

Beautiful day so decided to take the dogs for a lovely walk in the woods. Then we had coffee and cake as it was later in the day. Everything is delicious and home made. Great selection of food and different to the norm which is refreshing. Will definitely be back for a lunch to try some of the delights on the menu and we also liked the look of the crepes on offer in the takeaway shed. Lots of goodies to purchase in the shop and the cheese counter looks great and the cheeses are delicious.

Evita este restaurante. Nos alojamos en el Radisson Hotel y comimos aquí ya que era el restaurante de los hoteles. En resumen, asquerosa vergüenza alimentaria para usted Radisson. Tomé un estofado lento de carne estofada, que viene con un puré y col rizada. Para describir esto fue un tazón de gragea, col rizada fría crujiente seca y puré. Totalmente incomestible. Pagué 18 libras por tres cucharas de puré y salsa. Mi marido tenía Koftas que habían secado berenjenas colocadas encima de una porción diminuta de cuscús de yogur y koftas. El restaurante estaba vacío a las 7. 30 pm, que dice mucho. El ambiente es totalmente carente de ambiente, decoración anticuada y downlighters brillantes horribles, ambiente incómodo extraño para una comida de noche. Aceitunas servidas que eran pobres. ¡El pan con aceite era masa agria quemada al carbón y no balsámico en el aceite! Me dijeron que reservara una mesa por la tarde, pero el lugar estaba vacío. El hotel necesita ordenar esto ya que otros huéspedes dijeron lo mismo sobre la mala comida. Le dije al servidor que no podía comerlo y no me ofrecieron un descuento o deducción. ¡Terminé en Sainsbury’s en lugar de pedir un desierto! Me pondré en contacto con el hotel para pedir mi dinero de vuelta, ya que en general había varios problemas tanto con el hotel como con la comida. Reserva con precaución. Sugiero cenar en el gran café frente a la carretera por puente.

Éramos una fiesta de seis para el almuerzo. Todo fue excelente. Personal encantador y servicial, muy buena comida, especialmente el venado rosa y un ambiente agradable.

Absolutely brilliant pub. Love music on most weekends, pool tables in the back, sports on the TV, great.

Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

Perfect fish supper, 2 large pieces of fresh haddock; thick fillets and a generous portion of freshly made chips. Spot on.
