0 for all, worst place to go for food, got kicked out for speaking and the food was cold and not cooked through, hair on the plates, terrible customer service especially the women behind the bar, told her the food was bad and she said well all I’ve heard is your voice around my bar and kicked us out. AVOID COMPLETELY

This is a great place for good food at a reasonable price. We had a 2 course meal each with drinks for under £30. The service was quick, everyone was pleasant & polite and the food was good. Very good value for money.

Popped in for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Home made items on menu like macaron cheese lasagne and steak pie etc. nice chicken soup followed by steak pie n chips . Lovely tender meat although not a fan of the individual triangle of pastry but overall a nice meal and at 11.50 for two courses it was good value x

Terrible food lasagne was tasteless the chilli con carne had no taste whatsoever had to add salt pepper and mustard to try to get flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful but let down by absolutely dire food

Am fi Peniciuk and i come to forfar around 4 times a year for various things like m/bike shows - auto jumbles, Glames exstravagansa etc, your hotel is part of the reason i come to Forfar

They served us even though the Kitchen had closed. So friendly! The food was very good 😍

Been here many a time and food always been good. Today, Steak pie and the chips were very dry and did not enjoy. My biggest gripe today is the young waitress chewing her gum, not hiding the fact she had gum in mouth but while taking our order blatantly eating the gum with mouth open. Not only us that noticed but folks at next table were also talking about her. Highly unprofessional!!! Friends daughter works in a different establishment at weekends doing lunches and chewing gum is a big no no! Come on Jackie get tough with your staff, who wants her breathing over their food while she’s chewing her gum

Plain but filling food, well worth the money.

Have stayed in forfar for over 10 years and this year was 1st time have actually went here for a meal.... Have been 3 times now 😀. Food is great pub grub and very reasonable price... Steak pie is brilliant had it 2 out of 3 times had lasagna for a change this time was good but little dry. But would definitely eat here again and agin

Had a meal here with a friend tonight, I had Lasagne and my friend the steak pie, we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and there was plenty. Bar staff lovely and attentive

Went there to see a great local band called Ganked. Entertainment was first class. Drink prices and service was good. Nice, clean and modern toilets. Didn’t eat any meals there, so unable to comment on their food. Good, mixed age crowd that night.

A lovely stay in this great hotel. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly . Quit room with. Very comfortable bed and clean room.would recommend to singles or families in this idyllic town. Thank you so so much for all your help with luggage and taxis!

Only pop in occasionally, however never disappointment by the staff. Professional service and extremely friendly, which is the reason we return. Different clientele adds to the experience.

Having stayed in Forfar for five years I am ashamed to admit I've never been to this place until this week when my parents came down for a visit. Old style pub with very friendly staff, lots to choose from on the menu but we decided on the two courses for £8.75 having a main and dessert. The plates were full having had fish and chips, slow cooked steak pie and macaroni, with dessert of sticky toffee pudding, hot chocolate fudge cake and apple crumble served with ice cream, cream or custard. Will be back as absolutely loved it.

Good pub with a nice atmosphere .we were in forfar for the weekend so we were in on Friday night and Saturday night. There was a singer on on Saturday for the entertainment and the bar staff was friendly.

Despite the tired surroundings the food was excellent. Staff very attentive and polite. Wonderful value for money and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

First time visit to this hotel for lunch. Excellent service and a great menu. Went for the two course lunch at £8.95 which was terrific value. Have to commend the two staff who were on duty front of house. Will definitely be back.

Just been out for a lovely meal while on a short break. Queens Hotel had lovely food good portions great price, friendly service. Certainly worth a try if you're up here.

Visited twice in one day. A few drinks in the afternoon, then revisited for evening meal. Food was very good and service was excellant. Staff very attentive and helpful.

They took us in at 10 pm after we had been refused admission to a campsite for been 20 minutes late after been delayed by traffic by 3 hrs

Excellent service. Happy polite staff and the food was delicious. Slow cook steak pie with apple crumble & ice cream to follow to die for. Certainly value for money which was extremely inexpensive.

Discovered The Queens Hotel a couple of weeks ago when looking for somewhere to eat in Forfar. Been back three times for lunch with different friends and have not been disappointed. The service is excellent, very quick and efficient, friendly staff and good value for money. COVID safe.

Had a lovely high tea. Mail meal was plentiful and hot at the table. My fish was huge and the batter really crispy. Tea and cake made the meal a truly delicious experience. Will be back. Many thanks to our great waiter.

Thursday night last of month open Mike music worth a visit.

I recently visited for a drink with my friend and the way in which we were treated by a member of staff was appalling! The older woman behind the bar was extremely rude to both me and my friend. I have never been spoken to in such a rude and unprofessional way in any other establishment. I have visited on many occasions and this particular member of staff has never been very polite or welcoming but on this visit her attitude towards us was terrible. She refused to serve someone who had 2 separate forms of ID, one being a UK driving license for absolutely no reason at all. I will not be keen to visit this establishment again as I do not appreciate being treated in such a way by this member of staff!

Recently went to listen to some live music here with a friend. When we arrived we were called over quite snippily by one female member of staff who wanted to check our ID. She rejected two forms of ID from me for no reason, saying that my first ID could be fake, and my driving license was not accepted for no reason. She then said neither of us would be served, giving no explanation. We decided to stay at the bar to listen to the music and went into the toilet. However, while we were in the toilets, she quietly followed us into the bathroom. We were unaware of her being there and spoke about her rude behaviour earlier. After she heard the comments made, she threw us out of the pub. Very odd and rude behaviour from this member of staff.

Popped by with friends on a Friday evening for drinks.The service received from the female on duty was wholly unsatisfactory-the worst we have probably encountered. We ordered a bottle of prosecco for 3 of us .The bottle itself and contents were warm as indeed was one of the wine glasses-no flutes here-which clearly had just come out of the washer,no attempt having been made to cool it down.Was not an inexpensive purchase either! The other drink-a spirit and mixer arrived without a slice of lemon/lime.None the four of us are likely to return.

I like drinking, like a lot. This place helps me achieve this ambition. If you too like drinking. Then this is your watering hole. As pubs go its fancy, the staff are friendly and even remember what you're drinking when you don't. So in my book that's a great place to sink a pint.
