Great food, service and atmosphere

Great food, brilliant service, and lovely staff. Dogs were made welcome as well.

Went for evening meal and thoroughly enjoyed high quality food. Unusually these days all desserts are made on the premises and are delicious. Highly recommended.

Beautiful room with very comfortable beds. My sister had medical problems when we were staying here and the staff and owner went out of their way to help us. Can't praise them enough for their care! Thank you so much

Great location, nice food and friendly staff

Had Sunday lunch here with family. We hadn't been for a while and we were very pleasantly surprised. The dining area had been updated. Very comfortable and more modern. The service was excellent, very pleasant serving staff. The menu was very good and the food was excellent. So nice to find something a bit different. Oh and my husband had the pie, a proper pie. Not some meat with a daub of pastry on top. He said it was excellent, steak and haggis. I never even got to taste it. We will definitely be back.

This traditional pub seems to have lost a bit of character in a refurbishment at some point but still fine none the less. We had lunch. 2 out of 3 meals were lovely! Would definitely go back as it was only an issue with the reheating of the pulled pork. They be isn’t charge us for it so it wasn’t a problem. The waitress could benefit from some more training but the man, I am assuming is a manager of some kind, was great. Very chatty and knowledgeable. A bit pricey but was actually delicious so we didn’t mind.

After arriving down in Innerleithen for a couple of days, we decided to go out for a pint - as you do! So whilst enjoying our drinks we decided we'd also get a wee something to eat and feeling a bit peckish, decided to order a side between us (haggis pakkora ) to go along with our mains - long story short, I had to ease off the belt a notch or two! Great food, friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. We plan on going back for breakfast too over the next couple of days, the menu looks super tasty.

This is a nice place for a drink and it has some real ales, the food is average but not cheap. The soup was good and the service okay without being outstanding.
